    Confused about 64-bit for Mac

    I’m having trouble understanding if the upcoming 64-bit Mac update applies to me.
    I have a 2010 non-Metal 64-bit MAC OS 10.13.6
    The Sims 3 plays pretty good for me.
    Is the update for 64-bit AND/OR Metal or just Metal?

      The 64-bit version uses the Metal API, so Metal is one of the minimum requirements. Since your Mac doesn't support Metal, you won't be able to run it and will have to stay with the current version of Sims 3.
