In-game gifting

I've been back playing TS3 for awhile now and want some active friends to send the in-game gifts too. I have several friends on friend list, but have not been getting the gifts back. Is it even still working?

Send friend request and we can exchange gifts!!

It still works, but most play offline because it tends to slow the game down.

It still works but I tend to play off line to reduce the chance of crashing. I usually play unusually large households. And like to push my computer's capability to handle excessive amounts of stuff in my games.

I've never used this feature before!! I didn't explore the online stuff when I was younger but I'd love to give it a shot. I'll send some friend request out now!♥

I think you guys are living dangerously. My parents always taught me never to accept gift offers from strangers and I wouldn't want to do anything to annoy them for fear of being punished. I mean, they are Elders now and I'm actually almost one myself but we always tend to live in constant "fear" of our parents no matter what.

(yes, it's possible that this isn't really what they meant...was I supposed to have been paying close attention to what they were saying all these years?) :)

I received a few gifts last night but the game froze up after accepting them. 😕 Anyone else have this issue?

Yeah, it's happened to me before. I don't know if there's anything we can do about that, though, since it kind of creates more lag in some peoples' games. That's why many play without being connected to the internet at all.

The main reason a lot of people don't play logged in is being logged tends to increase the chance of freezing and crashing.

If I am logged in and have multiple gifts to accept I generally try to remember to save after accepting each one. But I often forget and mostly it's fine, but sometimes it does the freeze/crash and then I try to remember what I had just accepted and go buy it from buy mode. Or not. If simoleans are short in game a money cheat can be used to add just the right amount to a sims bank balance. Master Controller lets you add a specific amount of funds to the sims bank. It's under Household | Family Funds.

I have a series of different games I play to use for my videos. Some of those videos are about getting badges awarded and they are the games I log in while playing as you seem to need to be logged in for badges to work. Otherwise, I don't log in and that's why I'm not much good at gift giving. If I find there are gifts waiting for me to accept when I do long in I will accept and return gifts but it can be months between times when I log in.
