Wow that's really something I need because world machine doesn't allow actual sculpting by hand as far as I know.

I'll definitely give a try. I'd love it if I could create the base heightmap in WM hand sculpt it in Bryce then back to WM to make the paint masks.

I've seen a lot of people use WM to make terrains for UDK so I should imagine world machine is the better tool.

Thanks for telling me about bryce! :D

I downloaded your world this afternoon. Its beautiful! I can't wait to build in it myself. I read on your tumblr that you made little changes here and there, is that version already uploaded? Or are you waiting until you populated it for uploading?

Thanks again for your world, its a keeper :)

    Thanks for downloading it. :)

I plan to finish it very soon. I want to make a few more changes to things but the world is populated now so it's almost ready for upload

Thought I'd bump this thread up. Also added two ambitions lots to first post. :-)

I love Bridgewood, and so I add a few things to the "beach" lots that you created. I hope you don't mind. Here are a few pics.

    <a href='http://postimage.org/' target='_blank'><img src='http://s26.postimg.org/eoubvmjbd/Screenshot_49.jpg' border='0' alt="Screenshot 49" /></a><br /><a target='_blank' href='http://postimage.org/'>photo hosting</a><br /><br />

    <a href='http://postimage.org/' target='_blank'><img src='http://s26.postimg.org/x34uzlvm1/Screenshot_51.jpg' border='0' alt="Screenshot 51" /></a><br /><a target='_blank' href='http://postimage.org/'>photo hosting</a><br /><br />

    <a href='http://postimage.org/' target='_blank'><img src='http://s26.postimg.org/vfo33xb9l/Screenshot_60.jpg' border='0' alt="Screenshot 60" /></a><br /><a target='_blank' href='http://postimage.org/'>photo sharing</a><br /><br />

As you can see, I added a few things, like the bon fire pit, vending machine, the foto tent, out door baths, and even little piers to dock your boat.

    I hope you don't mind.

Nice! I would've loved to have added more objects to lots like this but couldn't because I wanted the world to be base game friendly

That sim you have selected looks familiar. Is he one of mine?

You're correct - I was downloading some of your lots for the MG, and Bridgewood - and I came across the SIm, he looked interesting enough, and usually I don't download other's Sims because of all the CC that comes along with it - but with you I trust. I rec'd as well.

Is Strangetown gonna be just a Base game as well?

Ah of course lol. I couldn't remember what clothes I set. I never thought anyone would download that sim as it's just for my avatar. I'm not a fan of CC sims myself. I find that they don't really fit the style of the game. Needed a lip piercing though; I wish EA included them in the game :-)

Strangetown will be base game but aliens won't work like in seasons. I'll be testing whether I can set alien sims to work if the player has seasons installed by using the games debug flags though.

Even though I like to try out other worlds, I'm still playing Mesa Grande - populated with your sims and mine.

Here is my question - what dimensions are your worlds?

If you like Mesa Grande then I think you'd like this world too!

All my worlds are 2048x2048 :-)

This world has been a huge success on my blog and it's edging so close to 2000 downloads! I'll be working on a small update in future but it won't be essential if you already have a savegame in the world. :-)

BridgewoodDBC.package goes to Mods/Packages folder in your documents and the world installs through the launcher. Hope you enjoy! :D

You don't have to download it with winzip. Download it and there should be a text document read that and you'll be fine :) I think anyway o.O

Very nice world. I'd a fancy to get away from playing big busy worlds, which on my computer are always very laggy, and away from high rises - which always seem to have routing problems. And I wanted a populated world too. I've tried creating families in unpopulated worlds, but its a little too much like hard work, when I just want to get playing, and then, of course, there are no surprises. Bridgewood fits the bill very nicely, thanks for sharing it.

BTW, I know it says Gestra5 (wish I could change that) but I'm Elynda, always have been, always will be.

hey aaron. late to the party, as usual. i found your world back in the spring and fell in love with it. it's like goldilocks - "just right". big, sprawling maps can be beautiful, but i find them hard to manipulate. so i've been trying to collect small worlds. Bridgewood is just about perfect - it just needs my personal touch. ROFL thank you for building this. i've enjoyed the creative effort it's taken to build and rebuild. :)
