it's such a cute hair how do i change the coding so babies dont get coded with it? and if i remove it will i be able to open my game after? does it just take the hair off the baby?
Thank you @Mikezumi i was trying on my own but i dont think i can do it honestly lol. Until Emily or someone is able to help me out would you be able to answer this: If i just uninstall that particular hair and reopen my game, will it glitch out or just take the hair off the baby?
@Chi5678 If you delete the hair, the game will just replace the lost hair. So, presumably, for a baby sim that would mean they would again be hairless. (that is certainly a sentence ).
Step 1: Open the package file in S3PE. You'll be met with something like this:
At first glance, that looks like a confusing mess but I assure you we're only going to be messing with one very tiny part of it.
-Find the item tagged "CASP" and click it to select it. Should turn blue like this:
-At the bottom of the window, you'll see see "Grid." Click it. I highlighted it here for easy finding:
-Once you click Grid, you'll be met with this new window:
Click the little arrow next to "AgeGender" to expand that part of it. I highlighted it here:
Here's what it looks like expanded:
That first part is Age, as I highlighted above. Again, click the arrow next to Age to expand that part. You'll see a list of all age groups (baby included at the very top) and either True or False next to them. True means it is enabled for that age group, False means it isn't.
Click "[0] Baby" and you'll see once selected that an arrow in the True/False section shows up like so:
As you can see above, if you hit that arrow it expands the list. Click "False" to disable the hair for babies. Once you've done that, click "Commit" in the bottom right hand corner of the Data Grid window. Then just save the package, put it back in your game, and no more babies with hair demons haunting them.
@Emily4331 Amazing! that's a lot ill have to look into. The family I'm playing has had 3 babies and im stopping til the next generation so I got time til the glitch comes again, turns out i can use master controller to just take the hair off manually so i might end up doing that moving forward if i cant figure all that out im stuck on like step 1.. I am amazed though for 79 custom content items i've downloaded and with 72 mods (i just counted) that this is the first "big" issue ive run into
So, I've been thinking about starting a new save in Twinbrook (dear lord, give me the patience to give everyone and their mom a makeover ) with this guy here
I just plopped him in a house real quick to see if I'm satisfied with the way he looks in game
@Mikezumi Lol I know! he needs lots of sun... too bad I have in mind starting a gloomy family with him (so no tanning for him ), that's why I choose Twinbrook, it seems perfect for a famly like that the downside is the townies genes, I don't mind the ugly but I'm not fond of EA genes when it comes to my own sims, if they oughta have ugly kids then they shall have them on my own terms
Thank you for for wishing me good luck! today I tackled down all the kids, tomorrow I'll start with the YAs, I'm worried about the adults though... there are waaay too many
The 'get cheated' moodlet or whatever that's called takes too long to dissipate and felipe have been crying all day, so Benji grilled Felipe's favorite food to cheer him up and he looked so happy
Ethan and Alicia both love the outdoors so it made sense for them to get married on the beach Ethan's dads were there as were a couple of townies. Jamie chose to sit on one of the chairs in the background.

But, you can keep this hair as changing what age groups something is for is pretty easy. For this, you'll need the hair in package file format, so if it's a Sims3Pack, download this and convert it: https://modthesims.info/d/364038/delphy-s-sims-3-pack-multi-extracter-updated-5th-sept-2009.html
The program you'll need is Sims 3 Package Editor or S3PE, which you can DL here: http://www.simlogical.com/s3pe.htm

Edit: I just read the comments and saw a handful of other players had the issue as well.
Just make sure you uninstall the other one in the launcher before you put this one in the game.

Here is Lily enjoying a little time in the water.
My happy couple left the kiddos at home and took a visit to France. They had a lot of fun and rekindled their spark for eachother.
