Adding lots confusion

Isnt there a way to add houses onto lots that have people living in them? The button is disabled when I am in edit in gameplay mode, or whatever its called. Is there a way around this? I want to fill my world with people!

I'm pretty sure there is no way to add people to a world you have created.

I built a practice world and when you go to the exchange and look at the details, this is what it says.

    orld Name: Isola di onore
    World Size: 256x256
    Number of Lots: 2
    Commercial Lots: 2
    Residential Lots: 0
    Occupied Lots: 0
    Number of Residents: 0

I dont understand why it says all of that if you cant add people anyway :\ Makes me think there is a way somehow.

I've not tried adding people into lots yet, but have you tried creating a lot in the normal game adding the family save to library and then opening CAW go to edit in game then place the lot that way?

Thats the only way I knew of. I would open CAW, then go into edit in game, then try to put the house on the empty lot but the tab that lets you see houses that are occupied is disabled. Cant click it :(

I just occasionally came across this thread now. And surprisingly found out that so much has changed in just 10 years.

I just occasionally came across this thread now. And surprisingly found out that so much has changed in just 10 years. Whatever we were criticizing a few years ago, does not seem so strange today. And it seems the world is approaching its worst times so fast that it is really frustrating. I am from the UK actually, https://postcodefinder.net/england/. But now it is not stable any more here.
