@carlystur03 Thanks for posting Good luck getting Angela to the top of the criminal career. I did it once years ago and it was fun watching the reaction of other sims
@Mikezumi I love your family! I can never keep my attention on one family for that many generations. I usually fizzle out at like gen 4.
I think my latest Sims 3 family is on gen 3 in Moonlight Falls. I was playing to collect all the hidden traits in one bloodline. I had like 3 of them on the 3rd gen kids and married my 3rd gen heir to a townie-born vampire with the hidden sneak ability, so I was set, but the save was glitching out so bad I'm probably going to have to scrap it, which sucks because I spent a lot of time editing the neighborhood and changing lots around, but such is Sims 3. :#
@bagelbeagle00 Thanks I kinda love them myself I like generational games but they usually glitch out before I get too many generations in. To avoid that I generally move them and their relatives to a fresh save using Nraas Porter but I am a little behind in my moves with this family because I was waiting for one of my sims to die of old age but he went on for more than double the elder stage. It was an awkward time in family relationships (hooking up teens to future partners, etc.) when he died so I have held off. The save is still going well although it is taking longer and longer to load and save. It's also going to be a difficult move because the family has soooooo many relatives that relocating them when they do move will be a PITA.
Sorry about your save. I play for genetics and don't care about hidden traits and I definitely don't want any supernaturals in my save, although Supernatural is installed, but I imagine it would have been hard for you to have gone so far and then to lose the family.
@Mikezumi Haha, good luck with moving them all over! I get the whole big families thing. I used to always make my sims have tons of kids because I liked to see how they all turned out genetically since the game's regular genetics system is kind of wacky, but now I only need two or three kids when I'm going for hidden traits.
@bagelbeagle00 I started this save because I installed a new genetics mod and instead of inheriting whole features from the parents, sims now inherit blended ones. I am loving this mod so far and don't see myself playing without it in future!
I was just preparing sim files for when the three sons age up to teen (I usually have them ready so I can just do a body swap on their birthdays rather than giving them a makeover on the spot and losing time and momentum). I can see I am going to have a hard time choosing an heir for the next generation! Here's what the boys will grow up like - teen and YA.
Nice how everything is working out for you. And I have still nothing . I was just looking, and 12 of the so far 18 grandkids of Marcus are adults, but still none of them produced any offspring, and many seem to be very reluctant to pair up. If it goes on like that, I'll have to give them a kick .
@Turjan That's no good! Why aren't your sims pairing up? I see popups all the time of sims hooking up and, so far, I have only seen one sim in a distant branch of the family not marry and have kids. Actually I lie. He did eventually marry when he was an elder so never became a parent. I didn't push him because I could see his genetics were rather bland anyway
Hmm, I can only guess that the algorithm has difficulties with finding matches that aren't siblings, half-siblings or first cousins . Then again, SP seems to work in batches, and some of the active pairings from the teen years have gone dormant during the time one of them became adults, and SP hasn't caught up with them again. With some of them, I may have to adjust jobs so they can actually meet (culinary or criminal careers are some of the offenders). Oh well, they still have time, so I guess I'll help them along if this won't improve.
Just made a new sim because I will be needing partners for future heirs. I already have one picked for the next generation but will need another for the next if the save goes that long. I might tweak him a little more when I change his voice and choose a name for him.
Joe and Damian are both on borrowed time now. When I last played their life bars had just become full. Both have a wish to have 10 grandchildren locked in and I am hoping it happens before they go. Ami is one and half days' pregnant.
Zelor Zoltir has completed his lifetime wish of becoming a celebrated five-star chef. Also maxed out his cooking, gardening, fishing, and logic skills. Zelor did age up to elder, but drink a foundation of youth potion. Working on getting him alien abducted.
Damien made it through another day and there were three birthdays in the family. I kept my fingers crossed that he wouldn't go while the birthdays were taking place.
Sam aged up surrounded by family
Instead of cake the family enjoyed his favourite meal of burgers
Jamie and Stephen were watching the stars when they aged up. I don't bother with birthday cakes for adult birthdays. I will fix their hair while they sleep
Joe visited his love, Damien, while he slept
Damien is still alive A little too alive if you are asking me! He introduced himself to his deceased husband's nephew, Christopher, and was instantly attracted! Christopher's daughter, Darcy, looked on in confusion I checked Christopher's gender preference and found he was bi but he wasn't for long because I changed it before Damien who is flirty could act on it
I made this sim yesterday. William Beaumont. He's a mortal living in Moonlight Falls and dabbling in Alchemy.
I can't decide which path he'll take, so he's currently mortal as I said. Witch or Vampire. He's friends with people who are part of both communities.
He's based off a sims 4 sim I'd made with the intent of that sim becoming a vampire, but I moved it to sims 3 instead. And yes, his hair has sliverish highlights.

What a fantastic thread full of some really awesome sims! Since I just reinstalled TS3, I thought it would be fun to participate. Currently I'm playing two different households.
In Sunset Valley, I'm playing Christopher Steel (married to Grady Elfman).
And in Riverview, I'm playing Hal Breckinridge (engaged to Sherman Bagley).
@Jase Thanks for sharing I remember in my early days playing a sim that married Grady. He and Christopher look like a lovely couple
Hal and Sherman look great together too! I hope you're enjoying your return to TS3 and I look forward to seeing more pics
