I have missed my ts4 sims new patch now a waitin'
This is my new sim Laurel Stuart.
And her collection room cause I have spent an obscene amount trying to recreate my collection and try things that are new to me, don't ask me if there is a "better" game. I'm just a happy simmer they both have faults and shine so while ts3 works I'll keep both of them.
I didn't do anything else cause I want to use her for Journey to Batuu can't wait.

@AlwaysAsking - It was intense. The smoke was so dense that you couldn't see the mountains.
There has been a helicopter (or two) going back and forth with buckets of water to put out the fire that started out of nowhere just behind the mountains where I'm at. It has been happening for four days.
Now, it's been taken care of. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

Found a really interesting challenge in Mod the Sims that involves with (again) Spellcasters. It's called The Sims Arcane Academy, and basically you build a school to teach new generations of spellcasters.

@Becka28 I didn't use any mods or MCC settings. I just went into cas.fullmode.edit and changed it so that the men could get pregnant and Dahlia could impregnate men. Then I added woohoo to the Rockets & Telescope club and Dahlia went to work. She has 10 babies now. So I removed woohoo from the club and allowed women to join since basically all the men hate her except Bob Pancakes.
@AlwaysAsking I don't typically interact with the Pancakes, but I see what all the broo haha is about. They are a weird family. Eliza was totally ok with the new baby. She's like best friends with Dahlia now.

Now a spoilers to your inquire and thoughts about Dec (But anyone else feel free to read!).
You are 100% right about Declan, he does have the ability to take care of himself and Hazel. But he also has a 'problem'.
It is a difficult situation and yes, Vanessa is enabling him, but she does not see that, she sees herself as helping him out while he heals.
But Dec is not really healing...
Everyone sees 'something' is up with him, but they are to scared to call him because what if he runs off? What if he takes Hazel with him? Vanessa does not want to risk this.
Same with any of his friends and his family as good as they are they lack some qualities to help properly in this type of situation, they really don't know what to do.
Same with Vanessa leaving for a couple days, if she can't trust him for a few hours (Hazel had to go over to Yu's and Brandie's) How can she trust him for some days?
She is scared, to her it is too risky, not for herself or even Declan but for the innocent little girl.
*Sigh* But the game took the helm form me again!
But once I finished playing with my Stones, I came back to check on Beck and Amelia.
What do I find? A sliver of a relationship from Beck to Vanessa in the romance bar and full friendship!
So I get a little excited and do a few double dates in the nice fall weather.

She did not sign up to be a permanent staple in Dec's life, but she stays and she loves Hazel she does not want the little girl to feel abandoned by her, Hazel has lost enough already.
But now she is falling in love, not for the first time but Beck is a sweetheart a respectable man with a sweet nature. His life time wish is family, he wants five kids. He truly loves Vanessa.
Vanessa is a good, good hardworking woman, with a thirst for knowledge and figuring out what she wants, but she does not get the chance, even with this progress with Beck, she is always thinking in the back of her head.
How can I co-exist with my family (Dec and Hazel) and my growing love (Beck).
She is unfortunately going to break it off with Beck before it gets to serious though, but still breaking his heart, breaking her heart and choosing the less "selfish" way in her eyes, but it is not.
All this is so sad and I don't know how it will end up!
Okay now for my small update still with the Adlers!
We start off A few days later, a normal scene, Vanessa sits by or actively helps Hazel with her homework,
Hazel usually goes to the tutoring group at the library but her group members were out sick, guess she got lucky getting her autumn sickness early on!
Vanessa is also studying herbalism since that camping trip she and Hazel took earlier that summer.
The two are extremely close like this, Vanessa wants to make sure Hazel feels very nurtured in her activities and hobbies.
Hazel does not mind, though she is an introvert and likes her circle of people rather small and very familiar. Hazel thinks Nessa is one of the most dependable people she knows.
Though she is still quite the little kid, she is already starting to appreciate this, maybe because the one person she depends on is not often there because he is sick or trying to get better or weird daddy.
Hazel usually does not make friends, she sticks to what she knows which is Illana and Jesse, but when, (mostly Illana) brings friends for her to meet, Hazel is polite enough and friendly but nothing really sticks due to her quiet demeanor around new people.
But that is starting to change a bit, especially with a girl named Whitnay.
Poor Whitnay is unpopular and is often teased or not included.
Hazel feels for her and finds she is easy to talk too, taking some of Rainbow's eager advice, Hazel takes the plunge to invite her over instead of just meeting at the library for projects.
Of course Vanessa and even Declan (when in his right mind) is supportive and encouraging of this, happy Hazel is branching out more on her own merit.
Maybe it is scouts?
Maybe that Rainbow girl Hazel keeps going on and on about?
Either way, she is socializing more and this is a wonderful thing.
Vanessa is sure to go visit her family house now and again, Declan sometimes comes or is already out and gone, rarely does he stay to watch Hazel. But Hazel also comes along to visit sometimes as well.
Rod really appreciates Vanessa coming over because she is always encouraging. Rod is not greatest and still a teen he struggles, he is rebellious, lazy a slob, but Vanessa always tries to help him see he can do things.
Tucker and Rachel are good parents but they have their vices with being procrastinating and unmotivated most of the time.
Vanessa really wants to help Rod get back up to at least a C in High School.
Next time we will find out about Vanessa's romance with Beck and how Nicholas and Amelia are getting along.
Ben and Alison Cole's oldest daughter became a teenager! She's going to be my fabricator as I haven't tried that out yet. She's still going to knit and sell what she makes on Plopsy. Her makeup is by XUrbansimsx.
Her eyes are from her father and grandfather. Hair and skin are from her mother. Her brother and sister are also red-haired with Emily being a clone of their mother and their brother Oliver having hazel eyes instead of green, brown, or grandma Kate's cool grey colored eyes.

So, this update will include a bit of experimentation. I'm still trying to push the limits for what a merperson can do in their merform without cheats or mods... I'll start by sharing the house that I'm working on. My biggest obstacle with this build is removing the poorly decorated moodlet while maintaining what I'm trying to accomplish. This took longer than expected to make, and the game fought with me every step of the way. Try telling me that walls can't be built next to pools but pools can literally be built right next to the wall. Needless to say I still accomplished what it said I couldn't do.
Here's the house currently named Wayfinder's Grotto.
The wild and overgrown surface hiding the Sacred Catacombs for the Merfolk Legacy and the Island Elemental Twins that watch over the islands.
The catacombs with the complete island treasures collection, valuable crystals, precious metals, enigmatic geodes, ancient fossils, and a variety of frogs that will be relocated to the Caldera Eco Center. The Catacombs have three sacred conch shells and a pedestal for the founder and each heir's urn. This is before the adjustments.
I placed the shell collection in Dylan's Grotto and the Elements from research analysis in Zephyr's Grotto. After placing all the collectibles through out the Grotto, I started testing things.
As expected,
Listening to music from a wall speaker, watching tv, viewing fish, and talking to fish can all be done without leaving the water.
I confirmed that merfolk can interact with mirrors to do many things without leaving the water. Because mirrors weren't designed for this set up, it was a challenge to find one that made a little bit of sense. Here are some examples of stuff they can do. My sim got flirty from trying on outfits in the water. He can practice pick up lines while flirty, so I assume he can do the interactions with different moodlets. He could also psych himself up.
Merfolk can do almost everything they can normally do with a mirror except a few things. When he couldn't do something, it was because the game wouldn't let him go somewhere to do the action. This is frustrating because some things don't require feet or legs to do, but it still doesn't work because he's in a pool.
For people with Paranoid Sims or Vampires, I learned that it is possible to grow plants that are sheltered underground. Inside the grotto and under closer protection of the Twins, I have Kava Roots, Orchids, and Death Flowers. Two of these plants can be used to ward off death and the Kava Roots can be used to appease the Island Elementals and gain their favor.
So, they built a Kitchen, bought a couple Computers and moved the artwork into the remodeled wreck. They put in some tile, redid the floor, and added some tile for the kitchen.
They still have concerns. Dylan and Zephyr frequently experience moments of discomfort. They suspect it might they sandy bed underwater and near the edges of the water. In a way, the sand maintains the sea cave look, but clouds of sand while they sim can be uncomfortable. They are looking for suggestions on alternatives. They found a few potential candidates.
Zephyr: "But mom, I am sorry."
Arihi: "I still don't believe you. In fact, I can't wait until you move out."
Zephyr: "Fine, I'm better off on my own anyways."
Zephyr levels up his Movement Skill as he walks away.
Zephyr thinking to himself while holding a bottle of milk: They left me out here with a vampire. Those barnacles actually left me. Do I have to do everything myself?
Note: Calum was practically running to get Dylan upstairs and come back for Zephyr.
Calum finally got down stairs and attended to Zephyr's needs. They hugged it out before going upstairs.
Zephyr: She jumped into the ocean while holding me! She dragged me through the ocean! She made me learn flash cards in the hot sun!
Calum: I know she isn't the brightest....
Zephyr: She's a barnacle brain! She left me outside with a vampire and went to bed!
Calum: Can I do anything to help?
Zephyr: I'm hungry! I'm tired! It's been a long day!
Dylan: "So, you're a bear now."
Zephyr: "Yes, I have always felt this inside myself. I'm a true king of the forest. I am a fruit bear. Do not feel bad for me, for I am happier in this form."
Calum: "So, aren't both of you supposed to be geniuses? I don't get it. By the way, why can't I change into a fruit bear?"
Arihi: "Calum, you've denied your connection to the magical fruit forest. Also, you aren't having a mental breakdown like us. Sometimes life can become unbearable for true geniuses."
Calum: "Is that why your building a rocket on a wooden house?"
Arihi: "I placed a metal floor. It shouldn't burn the house down when I escape into fruit space."
Zephyr thinks to himself: "What have I done?"
Zephyr couldn't confront Adrian, but he made sure he wasn't leaving in a good mood. Aegean's Question can be quite perplexing like the fruit bears from space that flee from deadly fruit flies.
The next morning, Zephyr tended to the plants growing outside.
Dylan: "You have magical powers to control the weather and a grotto full of water to get rehydrated in... (breathes) Why are you watering the plants with a watering pail?" Proceeds to call a rainstorm that lasts just long enough to water all the plants at the same time before calling clear skies.
Zephyr: "So this is the Vacation you had planned... (Breathes) You know it's raining right. We are camping in the rain."
Dylan: "Don't worry, I booked us for a full week in this wonderful place." Proceeds to swat flies out of his face.
I’m going to go back to Sims 3 for a bit, I think.
For some reason I made a Sims 4 backup ages ago, before any of the saves I’m currently playing. It even includes screenshots from my very first Sims 4 family, haha. Before toddlers were a thing. I still have that family saved to my gallery (not the general gallery), maybe I could start another save and bring them back. I’d probably change a few things in CAS, particularly as Seasons wasn’t out then so they won’t have hot and cold outfits.
The crashes can be incredibly annoying. I usually call it time travel and do something better than before. I also usually have the same past events repeat themselves.
The Parenting Forums in the game confirming that Arihi is a bad parent was lost because of a crash, but that didn’t stop her from autonomously doing the same thing again.
"I'm going to go back to The Sims 3" she lied. Well, part lied. I did play it a bit yesterday.

Samuel aged up to an Elder, and was rather sad as nobody had noticed. Of course, Anne's wedding had been foremost in everyone's mind - including his - so it wasn't that surprising.
Amanda also aged up! (The age counter was doing that thing where it states that the Sim has 0 days until it ages up, but you still have a tiny bit of time left until the Sim ages up automatically, which is what happened to Samuel).
"Hey Dad, do you mind if I move out?" Lucy asked.
"Of course not, why would you ask?"
"Well... I thought it might be a little tough on you and Mum to have both your children moving out over the same weekend," Lucy replied.
"That's sweet of you to consider us," smiled Samuel, "but honestly, you can do what you like. Your mum and I will cope! You're a young adult now, I'm not surprised that you want to spread your wings."
Lucy had been browsing available houses and had been rather disappointed by the offerings, until she received a message from Anne, saying that she (Lucy) could always move in with her (Anne) and Hiroshi for a while. Although a little surprised by the offer, she accepted, and packed her few belongings and headed over to Key Point.
"Hi, Hiroshi!" she said. "I hope you don't mind me moving in with you guys for a bit."
"Not a problem! I thought it'd be nice for you to support each other with your degree work. The more the merrier!"
(This is the main thing I changed from my original playthrough that crashed. The reason I moved Lucy in was so that I could keep an eye on both her and Anne whilst they completed their degrees, to ensure that they both got good grades. Besides, I thought that it would make for an interesting dynamic).
In fact, Hiroshi went the whole hog and invited Max to move in too. (This I did so that I could get Lucy and Max's relationship going). With both the women studying full-time, Hiroshi knew that he needed to get a job. After browsing vacancies, he spotted an advert for an Amateur Entertainer and took it.
Yep, it looked like a good decision all round for the four young adults to move in together. Having shared first a womb and then a room with Lucy, Anne knew that adult life would be a little overwhelming on her own, and was excited at the prospect of them all living together, away from their parents. She knew that Lucy and Max would likely want their own place eventually, of course, but she was prepared for that.
Anne and Hiroshi headed inside. Now that they were alone, Max felt more comfortable in flirting with Lucy.
"You know... you are so beautiful. I love your golden hair," he said, and Lucy blushed.
Things progressed quickly, and Max moved in for a kiss. Slightly taken aback by the lack of warning, Lucy soon embraced the moment. Flirting and cheesy pick-up lines were one thing, but kissing took it to a whole new level!
Pretty soon, a welcome wagon dropped by, and Lucy was excited to see that one of the visitors was the celebrity Brytani Cho. (Yup, Brytani is pregnant. She's also an Elder. I don't know how).
"Oh, hello, Brytani," Lucy said.
"Hello? Are you new to Sulani?"
"Actually, I was born here," Lucy explained, "but I've just moved out of my parents' house."
"Ah, well, welcome to adulthood!" Brytani smiled. "Now you can fully embrace the Sulani lifestyle."
Perhaps intending to impress Brytani Cho, Anne decided to play a concerto on her violin. The house had been built in such a way as to provide excellent acoustics, which Anne very much benefitted from.
Here's the main bedroom (as in Anne and Hiroshi's), with Anne's UBrite Spirit Corps poster on the wall.
When Lucy moved in, she brought over Anne's scouting trophies. I'm not sure whose Voidcritter that is, though.

David Gallegos, the other member of the welcome wagon, brought over a bowl of Kava. Anne decided to take a cup, and immediately felt relaxed. She'd heard that Max had the ability to summon Island Elementals... what with that ability, plus her and Hiroshi being able to cast spells, the next few days and weeks were sure to be full of fun and surprises!

Before ww1 has started, Luisa gave birth to Anna, and to give Wilhelm a last woohoo before he was sent to the war. And she is pregnant again.

Luisa is learning knitting, because he mother died shortly after her birth, she had never had a chance to learn it.
Viktoria took care of Anna too.
Aswell Hedwig is doing the same.
Now the results of the death rolls:
4 from 21 have died, 5 from 21 were heavy injured and returned to their families. 2 from the 4 death were just 18 years old, their father were with them when they had fallen. Nobody from the Kaufmann family has died or was injured yet. Still missing the deathroll from Otto, but he is still a teenager.
The results show the right death ratio after the end of the war, so I've decided I'm going change the rolls for the next years into the injury rolls, 1-3 means they are heavy wounded and return back to home.
@sarabeth2984 I loved your latest update. I can't imagine what it would be like living next to Thomas Jabari and a Calliente sister in an apartment (making those love noises ewww). I do not like Thomas even though he is Quin's grandfather (poor Quin - Nancy and Geoffrey, Thomas Jabari and even Kathlyn my original matriarch are not the best set of ancestors!). Vlad all flirty with his wife at the wedding was hilarious. I love when sims do the best things independently. Joanna is a hottie in her red dress and Simeon didn't let me down by air punching at the news of his grandchild.
I am glad you know and liked Hyacinth. My family adores the show although my parents see themselves as much closer to Daisy and Onslow than Hyacinth (or Violet & Rose LOL). They are now on my gallery - they aren't exact TV copies but I like to see them out and about and know I want my sims to avoid Mrs Bucket etc. I made Tarquin using genetics in CAS and gave him a bit of an Errol Flynn style look (I think Tarquin would appreciate the reference). I realise I need to do Violet and Bruce, the dishy vicar and his angry wife and poor poor long suffering Elizabeth (My family don't like Emmett so he can be missed). I got sidetracked by the new hair in Nifty knitting and had to make the Goldbergs as I think that hair is spot on for Beverly and I want her in my neighbourhood. If we ever get bands or high schools I will go crazy playing Barry as I think he would be a fun sim.
Thanks for your commnt on my pastel home - my inner 10yr old wanted to do it Barbie pink so it was slightly less pastelly than it could have been! I loved your caveman and the way you wrote his description. I look forward to meeting your Romans in game.

I let Quin and Rohan playtest - in a different save from their save. They both started acting like I was torturing them...
Even their daughter Lucia hated it.
Seriously guys its a nice house - and you don't even like the rocking chairs!
That is until.......
They discovered the house had a master bedroom
and decided to play test the pathing for woohoo autonomously.
They were much more co-operative and cheerful after that.

Another playtest - featuring Johnny Zest & Diego
I built another house in Oasis Springs.
I used Lana McKinnon from DU as test sim. Johnny Zest was welcome wagon (yay). He didn't bring fruit cake - now I can't remember if he ever does!
The majority of her queued ineractions were listed as "Listen to Johnny complain". Johnny bringing the fun times and sunshine.
So Lana held a housewarming party to force plenty of sims to do the play testing work for me.
Things were going well but Geoffrey tried to hit on Lana while Johnny was there - awkward.
I also tried to get good shots for my gallery slideshow for the home.
Diego saw his chance to get speedo photos out to a wider audience and took it. (he is in the other shots too.)
He almost put Johnny off his junk food.
Alright - you think you look great - I get it.
Lana fancied this rando townie who enjoyed hot tubbing.
Johnny was not pleased.
Everyone had a great time (except Johnny).
Johnny did not leave when the party ended so we made use of his services (there had been a lot of cleaning up to do!)
Things rapidly got flirty
So she kissed him and sent him home (there's only so much listen to complaining one woman can do in a day - even if he is as pretty as Johnny).
when he left Geoffrey Landgraab called and congratulated her on getting ckloser to Johnny Zest - did he bug the house or something! I sense a love triangle save LOL
Finally - I had an Alpha moment
I dug out a usb with some old alpha stuff as I wanted to see Quin and Rohan for a moment as Alpha's - in my build save. Quin's hair just can't be made curly or brassy enough in alpha - as all alpha's know how to use toner correctly when they bleach their hair LOL And the only skin I had didn't really suit Rohan - it made him more ashy toned. I am not planning to play alpha so I didn't download better stuff. Actually both are wearing different swatches of the same two outfits as most things I found were more female things - must have just erased my male stuff. My kijiko stuff was broken so no eyelashes and I couldn't find my fantasy eyes so Quin has to make do with brown not pinky red,
Quin is a sweetheart no matter how he looks.

It's a tiny update, but I uploaded a Young Adult Version of the twins to the Gallery today. I forgot to include their teenage version. Now, I know a big part of the game involves raising a family, but I don't have the heart to do anything that might result in the twins being separated from each other. Their talents and traits work so well to compliment each other that it wouldn't feel the same if they split up. So, I leave developing relationships and potentially splitting them up to other players. Keep in mind that this version of them isn't anywhere close to what they will be when I upload the final save.
(Was kvetching about JtB on Reddit, someone compared it to Strangerville, I said I quite liked Strangerville and even if the gameplay doesn't have much replayability, I loved the BB objects, especially those great Victorian pieces. So, decided to make a build with it. Lots of empty space left on the lot itself, got inspired by the yellow and green colour scheme, and lemons! Also, it just made it in as a Small House - 100 tiles exact!)

Cory's a great dad mainly because he has to be. He has the Super Parent aspiration which is an aspiration I gave him because he came with a vampire aspiration. I don't do vampires in my legacies. All spouses that come with aspirations like that get "Super Parent". So I pretty much have Cory as the sole care taker of the babies.

Today, my Sim had the aspiration to move away from her evil parents home, and start a fresh in the town of Evergreen Harbor. She packed her things, and left.
Her dream was always to be famous, so she knew that the best thing to do was to make friends on the main strip of Del Sol Valley. She made friends with Dirk Dreamer, and a few other Sim celebrity icons, and one by one, she invited them to her apartment to discuss plans of stardom (also asking for a cheeky loan, every here and there because she is struggling financially... anyway)...
While having a conversation with Dirk, suddenlyEliza Pancakes shows up at the apartment... BUT DOESN'T KNOCK. She looks through my apartment door window and clocks Dirk's attention where he suddenly stands up and walks outside...
AND STARTS SMOOCHING HER.

It was the 5th of September 2020 at 6:45pm that I discovered Dirk Dreamer and Eliza Pancakes was having an affair.
i was actually reading the whole of the Starks’ story from the beginning yesterday, because so many of the updates happened before I joined the thread, my first Foster family screenshots are from January this year. I managed to get up to where the family move to Sulani. It was so interesting reading back, because I know the latest updates and that Tony and Steve ended up back together and so on, I just wanted to see how it all panned out.

It’s funny, because I am definitely not the kind of Simmer who plans out things in advance and downloads lots of poses. I did think of a few small things in advance, like the twins getting their party dresses and the Sulani visit, but aside from that I don’t really plan. Well, I know I’d like to have Erytheia and Alexander in a relationship eventually, but I don’t have a set idea of how it’ll happen. It’s so interesting how we all have different ways of playing. It’d be boring if we were all the same!
It's not my fault but I get carried away too often... Like, I have this idea and them I'm like "oh wait, it'll take me months to get to that point!" and while those months pass by I find some poses I need, make some poses myself (some of the last interactions between Steve and Peggy were made by me), etc... And then it turns into huge massive updates and I don't know what to do with them I was thinking of splitting it in four updates and uploading as I upload regularly but that just felt... that just felt wrong here, lol. Technically it was all supposed to be just ONE update.
Awww, that's a cute update, I've read it already three times. Now I'm really curious why there are twins exist now and how Peter will react. And what Peggy did all the time until she met Steve again.

Hey everyone! Guess what - I got a gaming laptop! Switching to Windows after year of iMacs is... painful, to say the least. Everything is so laggy, glitchy, the touchpad is terrible, every basic app costs money and don't even get me started on the design, BUT! But.
My sims game runs like a hot knife through butter now. Ultra settings! 64x64 lots! Reshade! RESHADE!!!
I had tears in my eyes when the game loaded for less then a minute and transformed from the grey blue nonsense it used to be to THIS. Now I don't have to edit my sims to make the game brighter - I can actually play with them that way! Prepare for a huge editing change next week
"Oh Rogers, are you nervous?" Peggy smiled. "Your first day in the big city!"
"Okay, first of all, I'm just supposed to help Pa with the selling. Second..."
"Yeah, I'm a bit nervous I guess. Excited but nervous... I never been anywhere out of this place..."

The boat tipped a little and Steve lost his balance immediately, nearly falling in the water.

"You're in a hospital, seven months ago you got in a car accident and fell into a coma, the doctor will be here any second now, please stay calm!"

"I'm sorry, they... they didn't make it..."

"Oh um- hey," Steve weakly waved, trying to focus on the guy standing next to him. His body wouldn't listen, his tongue forgot how to speak and his mind felt like it was filled with heavy cotton balls. He didn't know how the last bit made sense but somehow it did. "Suppose you could say so..."
"I figured much. My name's Travis. What's yours?"
"Steve... Steve Rogers."
"First time in a bar? Haven't seen you around here before."
"Suppose so," Steve shrugged. "I'm... I'm actually from Windenburg."
"Windenburg, huh. So you're a farmboy then?"
"Yeah I guess you could say that," Steve laughed.
"Hey, that's cool! Got tired of the fields and decided to head to the big city? I admire that, kid, I really do! If you need someone to show around, I know all of the best places- Hey, you don't look too happy. Mind if I ask, did something happen that you came here?"
Steve shrugged again.
"Just... One thing led to another," he sighed. "Me and my parents got in a car accident... I fell in a coma for seven months... When I came back my best friend was already gone... I still had her phone number but I didn't want to bother... I mean, seven months is a long time. I bet she's already got her own life. So I sold the farm and decided to check some places out... winded up here..."
"Hey kid, are you paying or not?" the barmen interrupted them.
"Gosh... Do you know how to use plastic card thingies by any chance?"
"Sure. You uh.... you got all of your money on that thing?"
"Yeah... Everything I got off the house..."
"Hey barmen, get us a normal drink," Travis chuckled. "On me!"
They had a drink. And another. And another. Steve wouldn't stop talking. Travis just listened.
"I think it's a good thing you didn't stay. No offence but it seems like a pretty lame village."
"S-suppose it is," Steve laughed, feeling his mind getting even more clouded then before. "Suppos-se you find me lame too."
"Actually, no," Travis took his hand. "I think I kinda like you. You're cool."
Steve's heart missed a beat. This was the first time a guy took his hand.
"R-Really? I mean... thanks... gosh, I can't speak today..."
Steve tried to get up and nearly fell over. Travis caught him.
"T-thanks..."
"Yeah, you look a bit tired, farmboy..."
"Why don't we go to my place? You'll rest... We'll get to know each other a little more... See how it goes..."
"I'd... I'd like that, yeah," Steve nervously giggled. All he wanted to do was lie down.
"Oof... I think I've got to learn how to walk again..."
"Hey, don't worry, I've got you..."
"Okay, man, we get it. You're the big macho. Now let him go, he's barely standing."
"Exactly! He's practically begging for someone to pick him up," Travis gave a sly smile. "Are you jealous?"
"Seriously, Travis, just let this one go. C'mon, just this once."
"Don't tell me what to do, man..."
The group watched as Travis left.
"Poor kid. Travis is gonna ruin him..."
"Well I mean... Serves him right, no? What was he thinking, hanging out in a place like that..."
The next day Steve woke up with a big gasp.
"Oh my gosh..." he whispered.
His head hurt. His body hurt. Everything hurt but more then that, he was in one bed with a guy he met last night in a bar and the only thing he was wearing was his underwear.
Frightened, shocked and confused, Steve gazed around.
"Where... Where am I..."
"How did this happen..."
"I'm going to hell," Steve sighed. His eyes began welling up with tears.
Travis was still sleeping.
"Okay... okay... stop panicking..."
"Clothes, I need to find my clothes..."
"Good morning..." Travis muttered and immediately got up as Steve panicked and rushed to the door. "Woah, woah, woah, hold up, farmboy!"
"I mean... you're quite a picture to look at but I've got an old lady living next door, so best stay civil, alright? I mean, as civil as you can be... Sorry, I don't really know what do you consider civil, especially after last night..."
"Did we?.. You know..." Steve bit his lip.
"Oh yeah," Travis grinned. "We sure did."
"Oh gosh... we... we did... why did you... why!?"
"Wait, don't you remember? Seriously?"
"N-no..."
"Oh. Alright then."
"Tell me!"
"Well..." Travis gave out a fake sigh, looking away.
"When we got home, I suggested you to take the couch... You seemed very worn out and I figured you'd want a nap... But you..."
"I mean, I didn't want to at first, but you insisted... You were very... lets just say... eager. Well, practically begging, actually. And I mean..."
"Who was I to resist when you look so gorgeous?"
"Oh gosh..." Steve's voice trembled. "I'm- I'm so sorry, I- I shouldn't have been drinking... I'm... I'm going to hell now!"
"Yeah, you really are..." Travis sighed. "But at least we're going together, right? So it won't be that bad..."
Steve didn't reply.
"I should call Peggy," he whispered. "I should... I think I have her phone number on me..."
"Travis wait, I don't think we should-"
"I should've known that was one-night thing for you," Travis faked a sad tone, still not letting go of Steve's arm. "Alright then... Guess you're one of those guys. I really liked you, farmboy..."
"Well I- I like you too, I'm just not sure it's right..."
"Well what's the problem then?" Travis kissed him. And Steve...
Steve kissed him back.
It didn't take longer then a few weeks for Travis to get bored of his new toy.
"And stay out! I'm sick of you, farmboy!"
"How... How could he... Why... I thought he loved me... I-I loved him..."
"Call Peggy... I need to call Peggy... No, no, I shouldn't bother her... Too much time passed, she's probably forgotten all about me..."
Travis drained out most of Steve's cash. Now all he had was enough for a ticket to go back home and continue the slow, quiet life on the farm he always had. He tried to change. After he found out that Peggy left, he saw that as a sign. He tried to be more like Peggy. But he just had to admit that he wasn't as brave or smart as she was.
"Good day, sir. Where will you be purchasing your ticket?"
Windenburg, Steve wanted to say.
"I don't know," he said instead. "Anywhere."
"Just want to get out, hm... Well, I could recommend Sulani. It doesn't require a visa and the prices are rather low-"
"Yeah. Sure. Whatever," Steve muttered.
"So let me get this straight. You lived your whole life in Windenburg and never wanted to leave, then you fell in a coma for seven months and the first thing you did when you woke up was sell your house and head off exploring, and when you lost all of your money instead of going back home you decide to come here but now you're still trying to earn money to go back home?"
"I'm stupid and I make a lot of irrational decisions, I know," Steve sighed.
"It's not stupid... Actually, I think it's very smart."
"How is it smart?"
"Well, you'll never know if you never get out of the kitchen, will you!" the restaurant manager smiled. A couple weeks ago she kindly offered Steve a job and a place to stay when she found him crying in the corner of the airport, not knowing what to do next.
"If you decided to come to Sulani, there must've been a bigger meaning. That's just how Sulani works. But you have to put a little effort to figure out what it is... "
"Or you can spend all of your time doing the dishes. Up to you."
"Fine, fine, I'll go for a walk... Try to find this... thing," Steve muttered. He didn't know if he believed anything anymore.
"Ugh, what am I doing here... I should've just called Peggy..."
"I'm completely lost. How am I supposed to find my way back now..."
"I should ask for directions..."
"Paa, I'm not a baby!!"
"I kno, I know. see you after school, honey."
Over twenty five years passed. Steve was heading into his fifties now. He had many situations where he glanced at the phone number Peggy gave him and thought of calling it. And every single time, something stopped him.
But there was nothing to stop him now.
Steve waited and waited. But there was nothing. Steve was on his own and he had nowhere to go. He couldn't solve his problem by running away anymore.
It's been years, he'd say to himself. She probably has a different phone number, he'd say to himself.
She probably has new friends. She probably has a new life.
She probably doesn't even remember him anymore. He just needs to wait for something to stop him from calling her. Something always does.
Steve waited.
And waited.
And then he called.
"Hello?.. Who is this?"
"Uh... This phone number... it used to belong to... uh... is this... um... s-sorry..."
Rogers?..
"Peggy..." "...You never called."
"I'm sorry... Gosh, Peggy, I'm so, so, sorry... I meant to but I didn't want to bother you... It's just that so many things happened to me without you... and I'm... I'm such a wreck now, I feel like I'm going to have a mental break down any second and I think I'm c-crying right now... P-Peggy I'm s-so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so s-sorry..."
"Where are you?"
"What?.." "Where. Are. You."
"I um... Sulani..." "Sulani... let me check the flights..."
"Peggy..." "I'll be at the airport in ten hours. Meet me there."
"Peggy, I..." "You promised to tell me about your adventures, remember? Don't think you're getting of so easily, partner..."
Peggy and Steve. It was strange. Steve knew that Tony was, is and will forever be the only man he will ever be able to love the way he did. But with Peggy... It was different. It was unusual.
They still haven't figured it out, not entirely. They didn't know what to make of it.
But it saved him. It filled the empty hole Tony left.
And it brought two new humans into the world. Peggy's initiative.
Peggy wasn't a start of a new family. Peggy was the continuation of the family Steve already had. She didn't ask questions. She didn't judge him. She listened, she comforted and she stayed. After all these years, she was still his Peggy and he was her Rogers.
They were best friends. They were partners. Forever.
And just to top it off, the whole relationship between Peggy and Steve was partly inspired by Dolly Parton's Sugar Hill song. It's all in the lyrics
@Koteyka mmkay been awhile I usually awesome if I get depressed that was sweet though I think I missed something isn't Tony still waiting for him in the afterlife? I mean he wouldn't know that of course just makes me wonder who he would pick if he's adding on to his life with Peggy his story is sad but not cause you know already what he was heading for. The babies are so cute though, I feel like Steve is the sort that it's not really a who is better situation just what is different and the fact that it doesn't matter he could have love for them both. Now I have to listen to that song cause I need to leave for work in a few minutes and have no time to say more but I liked it and I'm glad you got a new computer isn't it nice turning everything up like that ha.

All the sims err'day
I'm "new" at this as I haven't played since Sims3. (decided to try 4 a few days ago)
I have (had) a family of 3. Parents and a daughter. The daughter got to young adulthood and shortly after dad croaked. Luckily the Grim Reaper listened to the pleadings of his wife. She was no spring chicken, either, but I wanted the parents alive until the daughter could graduate from university (while living at home) and fend for herself. Also I've been trying to get her to hook up with another sim so they can start their own family down the road. I had her hit on him at a BBQ party in the yard when BOTH PARENTS DIED AT THE SAME TIME!
I had the daughter plead for her mother and the GR let her live. But I couldn't get the mom to plead for Dad. (one plead per GR visit I guess). Now dad pops up as a ghost but so far no one has seen him as they are asleep. Still it was oddly fascinating to see both parents do the death animation at the same time. Some BBQ.
@Koteyka I have a gaming laptop, and for some reason I can’t use Ultra settings on it. It makes my game run really slowly... in fact I’d changed the settings to Ultra the other day when the game crashed to desktop, so the crash was either due to that or to a mod I had. So I changed the game back to its usual settings, which mainly involves clicking on Laptop Mode. There’s very little difference visually apart from the water quality, how light looks coming through windows, and shadows (of Sims mainly), and I only notice the water quality because the Fosters live in Sulani, which is of course where the Starks live. I don’t really notice it with the Mastersons or Harper-Joneses, because they don’t live in a house which is on stilts over the sea.
I’ve had my laptop for seven years, though. It plays Sims 3 fine on high graphics settings. Maybe if I got a PC that was good for gaming, it’d be able to handle Ultra settings perfectly. It still operates on Windows 7 (so old, I know) and I’m used to Windows systems. I also don’t use the touchpad, I use a mouse.

And her collection room cause I have spent an obscene amount trying to recreate my collection and try things that are new to me, don't ask me if there is a "better" game. I'm just a happy simmer they both have faults and shine so while ts3 works I'll keep both of them.
I didn't do anything else cause I want to use her for Journey to Batuu can't wait.

@AlwaysAsking - It was intense. The smoke was so dense that you couldn't see the mountains.
There has been a helicopter (or two) going back and forth with buckets of water to put out the fire that started out of nowhere just behind the mountains where I'm at. It has been happening for four days.
Now, it's been taken care of. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

Now a spoilers to your inquire and thoughts about Dec (But anyone else feel free to read!).
It is a difficult situation and yes, Vanessa is enabling him, but she does not see that, she sees herself as helping him out while he heals.
But Dec is not really healing...
Everyone sees 'something' is up with him, but they are to scared to call him because what if he runs off? What if he takes Hazel with him? Vanessa does not want to risk this.
Same with any of his friends and his family as good as they are they lack some qualities to help properly in this type of situation, they really don't know what to do.
Same with Vanessa leaving for a couple days, if she can't trust him for a few hours (Hazel had to go over to Yu's and Brandie's) How can she trust him for some days?
She is scared, to her it is too risky, not for herself or even Declan but for the innocent little girl.
*Sigh* But the game took the helm form me again!
But once I finished playing with my Stones, I came back to check on Beck and Amelia.
What do I find? A sliver of a relationship from Beck to Vanessa in the romance bar and full friendship!
So I get a little excited and do a few double dates in the nice fall weather.

She did not sign up to be a permanent staple in Dec's life, but she stays and she loves Hazel she does not want the little girl to feel abandoned by her, Hazel has lost enough already.
But now she is falling in love, not for the first time but Beck is a sweetheart a respectable man with a sweet nature. His life time wish is family, he wants five kids. He truly loves Vanessa.
Vanessa is a good, good hardworking woman, with a thirst for knowledge and figuring out what she wants, but she does not get the chance, even with this progress with Beck, she is always thinking in the back of her head.
How can I co-exist with my family (Dec and Hazel) and my growing love (Beck).
She is unfortunately going to break it off with Beck before it gets to serious though, but still breaking his heart, breaking her heart and choosing the less "selfish" way in her eyes, but it is not.
All this is so sad and I don't know how it will end up!
Okay now for my small update still with the Adlers!
We start off A few days later, a normal scene, Vanessa sits by or actively helps Hazel with her homework,
Hazel usually goes to the tutoring group at the library but her group members were out sick, guess she got lucky getting her autumn sickness early on!
Vanessa is also studying herbalism since that camping trip she and Hazel took earlier that summer.
The two are extremely close like this, Vanessa wants to make sure Hazel feels very nurtured in her activities and hobbies.
Hazel does not mind, though she is an introvert and likes her circle of people rather small and very familiar. Hazel thinks Nessa is one of the most dependable people she knows.
Though she is still quite the little kid, she is already starting to appreciate this, maybe because the one person she depends on is not often there because he is sick or trying to get better or weird daddy.
Hazel usually does not make friends, she sticks to what she knows which is Illana and Jesse, but when, (mostly Illana) brings friends for her to meet, Hazel is polite enough and friendly but nothing really sticks due to her quiet demeanor around new people.
But that is starting to change a bit, especially with a girl named Whitnay.
Poor Whitnay is unpopular and is often teased or not included.
Hazel feels for her and finds she is easy to talk too, taking some of Rainbow's eager advice, Hazel takes the plunge to invite her over instead of just meeting at the library for projects.
Of course Vanessa and even Declan (when in his right mind) is supportive and encouraging of this, happy Hazel is branching out more on her own merit.
Maybe it is scouts?
Maybe that Rainbow girl Hazel keeps going on and on about?
Either way, she is socializing more and this is a wonderful thing.
Vanessa is sure to go visit her family house now and again, Declan sometimes comes or is already out and gone, rarely does he stay to watch Hazel. But Hazel also comes along to visit sometimes as well.
Rod really appreciates Vanessa coming over because she is always encouraging. Rod is not greatest and still a teen he struggles, he is rebellious, lazy a slob, but Vanessa always tries to help him see he can do things.
Tucker and Rachel are good parents but they have their vices with being procrastinating and unmotivated most of the time.
Vanessa really wants to help Rod get back up to at least a C in High School.
Next time we will find out about Vanessa's romance with Beck and how Nicholas and Amelia are getting along.

Here's the house currently named Wayfinder's Grotto.
The wild and overgrown surface hiding the Sacred Catacombs for the Merfolk Legacy and the Island Elemental Twins that watch over the islands.

The first floor and living area for Dylan and Zephyr before I adjusted things.

The catacombs with the complete island treasures collection, valuable crystals, precious metals, enigmatic geodes, ancient fossils, and a variety of frogs that will be relocated to the Caldera Eco Center. The Catacombs have three sacred conch shells and a pedestal for the founder and each heir's urn. This is before the adjustments.

I placed the shell collection in Dylan's Grotto and the Elements from research analysis in Zephyr's Grotto. After placing all the collectibles through out the Grotto, I started testing things.
As expected,
Listening to music from a wall speaker, watching tv, viewing fish, and talking to fish can all be done without leaving the water.

I confirmed that merfolk can interact with mirrors to do many things without leaving the water. Because mirrors weren't designed for this set up, it was a challenge to find one that made a little bit of sense. Here are some examples of stuff they can do. My sim got flirty from trying on outfits in the water. He can practice pick up lines while flirty, so I assume he can do the interactions with different moodlets. He could also psych himself up.

Merfolk can do almost everything they can normally do with a mirror except a few things. When he couldn't do something, it was because the game wouldn't let him go somewhere to do the action. This is frustrating because some things don't require feet or legs to do, but it still doesn't work because he's in a pool.

He can't practice debate.

Obviously he can't practice dancing, but if the lot was completely underwater, it would be cool to see him do something like acrobatic but underwater.

He can try on outfits and enter CAS through the mirror while in merform, but he can't freshen up.

He can't practice acting, not even his lines.

For people with Paranoid Sims or Vampires, I learned that it is possible to grow plants that are sheltered underground. Inside the grotto and under closer protection of the Twins, I have Kava Roots, Orchids, and Death Flowers. Two of these plants can be used to ward off death and the Kava Roots can be used to appease the Island Elementals and gain their favor.

They can't interact with wall art, but I think the wall art can still impact the environment.

I think giving them bubbles helped to improve things a little. Still the bubblers give the water a cool effect.

So, they built a Kitchen, bought a couple Computers and moved the artwork into the remodeled wreck. They put in some tile, redid the floor, and added some tile for the kitchen.

They extended the hull and reshaped it.

This also helped them arrange the catacombs better. Now, OCD individuals like the plumbobs above can rest in peace.

They also made the stairs out of lava rocks because the wooden stairs couldn't be salvaged.

They still have concerns. Dylan and Zephyr frequently experience moments of discomfort. They suspect it might they sandy bed underwater and near the edges of the water. In a way, the sand maintains the sea cave look, but clouds of sand while they sim can be uncomfortable. They are looking for suggestions on alternatives. They found a few potential candidates.

All the remodeling work tired the Twins out, so they went to their grottos to sleep.

While Zephyr slept, he got a phone call from mom. This brought back memories...

Zephyr climbed the stairs, opened the front door, and at this point he had it, so he threw multiple tantrums. I don't blame him.
Zephyr: I don't want milk! I'm hungry and milk isn't good enough!
Calum finally got down stairs and attended to Zephyr's needs. They hugged it out before going upstairs.
Zephyr: She jumped into the ocean while holding me! She dragged me through the ocean! She made me learn flash cards in the hot sun!
Calum: I know she isn't the brightest....
Zephyr: She's a barnacle brain! She left me outside with a vampire and went to bed!
Calum: Can I do anything to help?
Zephyr: I'm hungry! I'm tired! It's been a long day!

Zephyr ate some food and drank his milk before having a third tantrum and passing out. Zephyr never had a tantrum before this sim day.

Zephyr: "Yes, I have always felt this inside myself. I'm a true king of the forest. I am a fruit bear. Do not feel bad for me, for I am happier in this form."

Calum: "Is that why your building a rocket on a wooden house?"
Arihi: "I placed a metal floor. It shouldn't burn the house down when I escape into fruit space."
Zephyr thinks to himself: "What have I done?"

He decided not to reject family for past mistakes. Especially with knowledge of certain past events.

While Arihi visited, she interrupted Zephyr while he tried to perform his duties as a Guardian of the Islands.
Adrian: "I'm going to leave a pile of trash there while those pesky guardians are distracted." Walks away with swagger.

Zephyr couldn't confront Adrian, but he made sure he wasn't leaving in a good mood. Aegean's Question can be quite perplexing like the fruit bears from space that flee from deadly fruit flies.

Zephyr: "A guardian's job is never done. Oh Sulani, where did I leave mom?!"

Arihi left without saying goodbye...
The next morning, Zephyr tended to the plants growing outside.
Dylan: "You have magical powers to control the weather and a grotto full of water to get rehydrated in... (breathes) Why are you watering the plants with a watering pail?" Proceeds to call a rainstorm that lasts just long enough to water all the plants at the same time before calling clear skies.

Zephyr: "Hold on, I'm unleashing natural disasters on my city."

The crashes can be incredibly annoying. I usually call it time travel and do something better than before. I also usually have the same past events repeat themselves.
The Parenting Forums in the game confirming that Arihi is a bad parent was lost because of a crash, but that didn’t stop her from autonomously doing the same thing again.

Samuel aged up to an Elder, and was rather sad as nobody had noticed. Of course, Anne's wedding had been foremost in everyone's mind - including his - so it wasn't that surprising.
Amanda also aged up! (The age counter was doing that thing where it states that the Sim has 0 days until it ages up, but you still have a tiny bit of time left until the Sim ages up automatically, which is what happened to Samuel).
"Hey Dad, do you mind if I move out?" Lucy asked.
"Of course not, why would you ask?"
"Well... I thought it might be a little tough on you and Mum to have both your children moving out over the same weekend," Lucy replied.
"That's sweet of you to consider us," smiled Samuel, "but honestly, you can do what you like. Your mum and I will cope! You're a young adult now, I'm not surprised that you want to spread your wings."
Lucy had been browsing available houses and had been rather disappointed by the offerings, until she received a message from Anne, saying that she (Lucy) could always move in with her (Anne) and Hiroshi for a while. Although a little surprised by the offer, she accepted, and packed her few belongings and headed over to Key Point.
"Hi, Hiroshi!" she said. "I hope you don't mind me moving in with you guys for a bit."
"Not a problem! I thought it'd be nice for you to support each other with your degree work. The more the merrier!"
(This is the main thing I changed from my original playthrough that crashed. The reason I moved Lucy in was so that I could keep an eye on both her and Anne whilst they completed their degrees, to ensure that they both got good grades. Besides, I thought that it would make for an interesting dynamic).
In fact, Hiroshi went the whole hog and invited Max to move in too. (This I did so that I could get Lucy and Max's relationship going). With both the women studying full-time, Hiroshi knew that he needed to get a job. After browsing vacancies, he spotted an advert for an Amateur Entertainer and took it.
Yep, it looked like a good decision all round for the four young adults to move in together. Having shared first a womb and then a room with Lucy, Anne knew that adult life would be a little overwhelming on her own, and was excited at the prospect of them all living together, away from their parents. She knew that Lucy and Max would likely want their own place eventually, of course, but she was prepared for that.
Anne and Hiroshi headed inside. Now that they were alone, Max felt more comfortable in flirting with Lucy.
"You know... you are so beautiful. I love your golden hair," he said, and Lucy blushed.
Things progressed quickly, and Max moved in for a kiss. Slightly taken aback by the lack of warning, Lucy soon embraced the moment. Flirting and cheesy pick-up lines were one thing, but kissing took it to a whole new level!
Pretty soon, a welcome wagon dropped by, and Lucy was excited to see that one of the visitors was the celebrity Brytani Cho. (Yup, Brytani is pregnant. She's also an Elder. I don't know how).
"Oh, hello, Brytani," Lucy said.
"Hello? Are you new to Sulani?"
"Actually, I was born here," Lucy explained, "but I've just moved out of my parents' house."
"Ah, well, welcome to adulthood!" Brytani smiled. "Now you can fully embrace the Sulani lifestyle."
Perhaps intending to impress Brytani Cho, Anne decided to play a concerto on her violin. The house had been built in such a way as to provide excellent acoustics, which Anne very much benefitted from.
Here's the main bedroom (as in Anne and Hiroshi's), with Anne's UBrite Spirit Corps poster on the wall.
When Lucy moved in, she brought over Anne's scouting trophies. I'm not sure whose Voidcritter that is, though.
Lucy's room... as if you couldn't tell, judging by the colour
David Gallegos, the other member of the welcome wagon, brought over a bowl of Kava. Anne decided to take a cup, and immediately felt relaxed. She'd heard that Max had the ability to summon Island Elementals... what with that ability, plus her and Hiroshi being able to cast spells, the next few days and weeks were sure to be full of fun and surprises!

Before ww1 has started, Luisa gave birth to Anna, and to give Wilhelm a last woohoo before he was sent to the war. And she is pregnant again.
Let the waiting begin.
Luisa is learning knitting, because he mother died shortly after her birth, she had never had a chance to learn it.
Viktoria took care of Anna too.
Aswell Hedwig is doing the same.
Now the results of the death rolls:
4 from 21 have died, 5 from 21 were heavy injured and returned to their families. 2 from the 4 death were just 18 years old, their father were with them when they had fallen. Nobody from the Kaufmann family has died or was injured yet. Still missing the deathroll from Otto, but he is still a teenager.
The results show the right death ratio after the end of the war, so I've decided I'm going change the rolls for the next years into the injury rolls, 1-3 means they are heavy wounded and return back to home.
I am glad you know and liked Hyacinth. My family adores the show although my parents see themselves as much closer to Daisy and Onslow than Hyacinth (or Violet & Rose LOL). They are now on my gallery - they aren't exact TV copies but I like to see them out and about and know I want my sims to avoid Mrs Bucket etc. I made Tarquin using genetics in CAS and gave him a bit of an Errol Flynn style look (I think Tarquin would appreciate the reference). I realise I need to do Violet and Bruce, the dishy vicar and his angry wife and poor poor long suffering Elizabeth (My family don't like Emmett so he can be missed). I got sidetracked by the new hair in Nifty knitting and had to make the Goldbergs as I think that hair is spot on for Beverly and I want her in my neighbourhood. If we ever get bands or high schools I will go crazy playing Barry as I think he would be a fun sim.

I let Quin and Rohan playtest - in a different save from their save. They both started acting like I was torturing them...
Even their daughter Lucia hated it.
Seriously guys its a nice house - and you don't even like the rocking chairs!

and decided to play test the pathing for woohoo autonomously.
They were much more co-operative and cheerful after that.

Another playtest - featuring Johnny Zest & Diego
I used Lana McKinnon from DU as test sim. Johnny Zest was welcome wagon (yay). He didn't bring fruit cake - now I can't remember if he ever does!
The majority of her queued ineractions were listed as "Listen to Johnny complain". Johnny bringing the fun times and sunshine.
So Lana held a housewarming party to force plenty of sims to do the play testing work for me.
Things were going well but Geoffrey tried to hit on Lana while Johnny was there - awkward.
I also tried to get good shots for my gallery slideshow for the home.
Diego saw his chance to get speedo photos out to a wider audience and took it. (he is in the other shots too.)
He almost put Johnny off his junk food.
Lana fancied this rando townie who enjoyed hot tubbing.
Johnny was not pleased.
Everyone had a great time (except Johnny).
Johnny did not leave when the party ended so we made use of his services (there had been a lot of cleaning up to do!)
Things rapidly got flirty
So she kissed him and sent him home (there's only so much listen to complaining one woman can do in a day - even if he is as pretty as Johnny).

(Was kvetching about JtB on Reddit, someone compared it to Strangerville, I said I quite liked Strangerville and even if the gameplay doesn't have much replayability, I loved the BB objects, especially those great Victorian pieces. So, decided to make a build with it. Lots of empty space left on the lot itself, got inspired by the yellow and green colour scheme, and lemons! Also, it just made it in as a Small House - 100 tiles exact!)

Cory's a great dad mainly because he has to be. He has the Super Parent aspiration which is an aspiration I gave him because he came with a vampire aspiration. I don't do vampires in my legacies. All spouses that come with aspirations like that get "Super Parent". So I pretty much have Cory as the sole care taker of the babies.

Grace was promoted! She's doing great in the education career. I'm pretty sure she'll reach the top.
Her dream was always to be famous, so she knew that the best thing to do was to make friends on the main strip of Del Sol Valley. She made friends with Dirk Dreamer, and a few other Sim celebrity icons, and one by one, she invited them to her apartment to discuss plans of stardom (also asking for a cheeky loan, every here and there because she is struggling financially... anyway)...
While having a conversation with Dirk, suddenly Eliza Pancakes shows up at the apartment... BUT DOESN'T KNOCK. She looks through my apartment door window and clocks Dirk's attention where he suddenly stands up and walks outside...
AND STARTS SMOOCHING HER.

Hey everyone! Guess what - I got a gaming laptop! Switching to Windows after year of iMacs is... painful, to say the least. Everything is so laggy, glitchy, the touchpad is terrible, every basic app costs money and don't even get me started on the design, BUT! But.
My sims game runs like a hot knife through butter now. Ultra settings! 64x64 lots! Reshade! RESHADE!!!
I had tears in my eyes when the game loaded for less then a minute and transformed from the grey blue nonsense it used to be to THIS. Now I don't have to edit my sims to make the game brighter - I can actually play with them that way! Prepare for a huge editing change next week

"So. Excited for your trip?"
"I guess..."
"Oh Rogers, are you nervous?" Peggy smiled. "Your first day in the big city!"
"Okay, first of all, I'm just supposed to help Pa with the selling. Second..."
"Yeah, I'm a bit nervous I guess. Excited but nervous... I never been anywhere out of this place..."
"Steve. You'll do fine. And when you get back, you'll tell me all about your adventures."
"The adventures of selling corn," Steve chuckled. "As if that's exciting..."
"Uhh... Peggy, I'm not sure were supposed to stand on the boat..."
"Relax, all you need to do is keep your balance..."
"Wow-"
"Hey, watch out!!"
The boat tipped a little and Steve lost his balance immediately, nearly falling in the water.
"Did you see me?" Steve laughed. "I nearly fell there!"
"For a moment I thought you actually did! Oh my god, you're terrible at fishing..."
"Well that's what you're here for, right?.."

Peggy sighed.
"Do the marriage thing."
"You're funny, Peggy. Why wouldn't I?"
"Well you keep staring at the boys like they're... I don't know. It's actually funny. I'm just not sure you'll be happy with me."
"I'd be very happy with you, Peggy! You're my best friend... But would- would you?"
"I mean, you're my best friend too and the only person I could ever see myself with..." Peggy sighed. "But I know you want to have children."
"Well if you don't want to do the uh... thing... we could come up with something, we could adopt or-"
"It's not about that. I don't really care about that. I'm just not sure I want children at all."
"I thought you'd say that," Steve sighed. "Kinda hoped you didn't."
"Okay, drama queen, you got it all wrong again! I said I'm not sure. Maybe I do want kids... We're so young, how can we possibly make such a responsible decision..."
"Well... Just to clarify, I could do the whole raising thing and you could just-"
"Steve. If we're going to have a partnership, that means we're doing everything together. No roles."
"Well what's wrong with roles? If I want kids and you don't-"
"Look, I'll think on it, okay?"
"Okay. What about when we're forty? Will you... figure yourself out when you're forty?"
"Alright. When we're forty, I'll tell you what I think on the subject of having children."
"Look, it's not about you..." Peggy sighed. "But if I decide to have children, I want to have them because I want to have them, not because my parents and literally everyone in this village expect me to."
"Hey, hey, don't worry!" Steve smiled. "I understand. I mean, after all that things you told me about pregnancies and everything else..."
"You spend three days depressed and never said again that it's easier for women..." Peggy chuckled a little.
"Exactly. So you'd be my superhero if you ever agreed to that."
"Okay, that's just you trying to lure me into having lots and lots of babies."
"Well I'd be thankful for every single one!'"
"God, you are so naive..."
"Maybe. But I think we'd make great parents, Peggy. And our children," Steve lowered his voice. "They'd be darn beautiful."
"Steve Rogers, what kind of language is that!" Peggy jokingly gasped. "That may be the first time I ever heard you swear!"
"Oh please, you do it all the time, I learn from the best!" Steve laughed.
"You still got lots and lots to learn, my young apprentice..."
"Gosh, I love you so much, Peggy. You're the bestest friend ever."
"Yeah, till the next cute guy comes around..."
"Why do you always have to ruin the moment?"
"Oh look, you've mastered the eye-rolling skill!"

"Hey lovebirdies!" they suddenly heard behind them.
"Leave at least something for you wedding night, hm? If there is anything you haven't tried out after that 'we were just swimming' thing you had as kids, that is."
"Oh my god..." Peggy groaned.
"Micheal - you're stupid."
The boys rolled with laughter.
"Oh come on, no need to be shy!" Joseph said in a mocking voice. "The whole village knows what you did. My father feels sorry for you, Steve. Now you've got no choice but to marry stupid ms I-Crave-For-Mens-Attention-Since-I-Was-Ten..."
"Steve! Uhm... Yeah, go get him?" Peggy awkwardly cheered Steve on. "Okay, okay, woah, that's enough!"
"Seriously, man, we were just joking around..."
"I'm giving you five seconds to apologise to Peggy!"
"Ugh. Sorry, Peggy..."
"Wait till my father hears about this..."
"I was this close to kissing him," Steve whispered excitedly.
"Beating people up and then kissing them," Peggy snorted. "Very logical."
"I may be attracted to him but it doesn't change the fact that he's dumb."
"Really, you don't have to stand up for me every single time someone says something," Peggy smiled. "They're not worth it."
"They're not but you are!" Steve disagreed. "I love you, Peggy. You're my best friend. I'd stand up for you a million times... Well, see ya."
"Good luck on your trip!" Peggy yelled. "Don't get into any trouble! Oh and I left you my phone number, so if anything happens, just give me a call!"
"Sure thing and don't worry!" Steve yelled back. "What could possibly go wrong?"

Steve softly groaned.
"Ouch... My head... Where'd my hair go..."
"He woke up," he heard a woman's voice. "I need a doctor here, now."
"A doct-"
"Ma!" Steve yelled as the memories flown back to him. Him, Ma and Pa driving on the big road... a car slamming right into them... darkness... nothing...
"Ma, Pa!"
"Oh my god. Stay calm, please!"
"Where are- Where are my parents, where am I-"
"You're in a hospital, seven months ago you got in a car accident and fell into a coma, the doctor will be here any second now, please stay calm!"
"A car accident," Steve panted. "A car accident!.. Where are my parents!?"
"I'm sorry, I know this is a lot for you to take in..."
"Where. Are. My. PARENTS!?"
"I'm sorry, they... they didn't make it..."
"What... What do you mean they didn't... What do you..."
"Hey guys, check out that kid."
"Looks like it's his first night out."
"Don't you just hate newbies..."
"I'd have him. Actually no - I'll have him."
"Travis. Man. C'mon, not again. You're not serious, are you?"
"Bet you ten simoleons he'll be in my bed this night."
"Hey kid, you have no pay for that, you know."
"I have money, I swear..." Steve groaned. "I just don't know how to use that weird plastic card, that's all..."
"I don't care, kid. Either you're paying, either I'm calling the police."
"Well how about you pay?" Steve muttered. "Here, take it... gosh, just leave me alone... Why did I ever come here..."
"Hey, gorgeous. Tough night?"
"Oh um- hey," Steve weakly waved, trying to focus on the guy standing next to him. His body wouldn't listen, his tongue forgot how to speak and his mind felt like it was filled with heavy cotton balls. He didn't know how the last bit made sense but somehow it did. "Suppose you could say so..."
"I figured much. My name's Travis. What's yours?"
"Steve... Steve Rogers."
"First time in a bar? Haven't seen you around here before."
"Suppose so," Steve shrugged. "I'm... I'm actually from Windenburg."
"Windenburg, huh. So you're a farmboy then?"
"Yeah I guess you could say that," Steve laughed.
"Hey, that's cool! Got tired of the fields and decided to head to the big city? I admire that, kid, I really do! If you need someone to show around, I know all of the best places- Hey, you don't look too happy. Mind if I ask, did something happen that you came here?"
Steve shrugged again.
"Just... One thing led to another," he sighed. "Me and my parents got in a car accident... I fell in a coma for seven months... When I came back my best friend was already gone... I still had her phone number but I didn't want to bother... I mean, seven months is a long time. I bet she's already got her own life. So I sold the farm and decided to check some places out... winded up here..."
"Hey kid, are you paying or not?" the barmen interrupted them.
"Gosh... Do you know how to use plastic card thingies by any chance?"
"Sure. You uh.... you got all of your money on that thing?"
"Yeah... Everything I got off the house..."
"Hey barmen, get us a normal drink," Travis chuckled. "On me!"
They had a drink. And another. And another. Steve wouldn't stop talking. Travis just listened.
"I think it's a good thing you didn't stay. No offence but it seems like a pretty lame village."
"S-suppose it is," Steve laughed, feeling his mind getting even more clouded then before. "Suppos-se you find me lame too."
"Actually, no," Travis took his hand. "I think I kinda like you. You're cool."
Steve's heart missed a beat. This was the first time a guy took his hand.
"R-Really? I mean... thanks... gosh, I can't speak today..."
Steve tried to get up and nearly fell over. Travis caught him.
"T-thanks..."
"Yeah, you look a bit tired, farmboy..."
"Why don't we go to my place? You'll rest... We'll get to know each other a little more... See how it goes..."
"I'd... I'd like that, yeah," Steve nervously giggled. All he wanted to do was lie down.
"Oof... I think I've got to learn how to walk again..."
"Hey, don't worry, I've got you..."
"Okay, man, we get it. You're the big macho. Now let him go, he's barely standing."
"Exactly! He's practically begging for someone to pick him up," Travis gave a sly smile. "Are you jealous?"
"Seriously, Travis, just let this one go. C'mon, just this once."
"Don't tell me what to do, man..."
The group watched as Travis left.
"Poor kid. Travis is gonna ruin him..."
"Well I mean... Serves him right, no? What was he thinking, hanging out in a place like that..."
The next day Steve woke up with a big gasp.
"Oh my gosh..." he whispered.
His head hurt. His body hurt. Everything hurt but more then that, he was in one bed with a guy he met last night in a bar and the only thing he was wearing was his underwear.
Frightened, shocked and confused, Steve gazed around.
"Where... Where am I..."
"How did this happen..."
"I'm going to hell," Steve sighed. His eyes began welling up with tears.
Travis was still sleeping.
"Okay... okay... stop panicking..."
"Clothes, I need to find my clothes..."
"Good morning..." Travis muttered and immediately got up as Steve panicked and rushed to the door. "Woah, woah, woah, hold up, farmboy!"
"I mean... you're quite a picture to look at but I've got an old lady living next door, so best stay civil, alright? I mean, as civil as you can be... Sorry, I don't really know what do you consider civil, especially after last night..."
"Did we?.. You know..." Steve bit his lip.
"Oh yeah," Travis grinned. "We sure did."
"Oh gosh... we... we did... why did you... why!?"
"Wait, don't you remember? Seriously?"
"N-no..."
"Oh. Alright then."
"Tell me!"
"Well..." Travis gave out a fake sigh, looking away.
"When we got home, I suggested you to take the couch... You seemed very worn out and I figured you'd want a nap... But you..."
"I mean, I didn't want to at first, but you insisted... You were very... lets just say... eager. Well, practically begging, actually. And I mean..."
"Who was I to resist when you look so gorgeous?"
"Oh gosh..." Steve's voice trembled. "I'm- I'm so sorry, I- I shouldn't have been drinking... I'm... I'm going to hell now!"
"Yeah, you really are..." Travis sighed. "But at least we're going together, right? So it won't be that bad..."
Steve didn't reply.
"I should call Peggy," he whispered. "I should... I think I have her phone number on me..."
"Travis wait, I don't think we should-"
"I should've known that was one-night thing for you," Travis faked a sad tone, still not letting go of Steve's arm. "Alright then... Guess you're one of those guys. I really liked you, farmboy..."
"Well I- I like you too, I'm just not sure it's right..."
"Well what's the problem then?" Travis kissed him. And Steve...
Steve kissed him back.
It didn't take longer then a few weeks for Travis to get bored of his new toy.
"And stay out! I'm sick of you, farmboy!"
"How... How could he... Why... I thought he loved me... I-I loved him..."
"Call Peggy... I need to call Peggy... No, no, I shouldn't bother her... Too much time passed, she's probably forgotten all about me..."
Travis drained out most of Steve's cash. Now all he had was enough for a ticket to go back home and continue the slow, quiet life on the farm he always had. He tried to change. After he found out that Peggy left, he saw that as a sign. He tried to be more like Peggy. But he just had to admit that he wasn't as brave or smart as she was.
"Good day, sir. Where will you be purchasing your ticket?"
Windenburg, Steve wanted to say.
"I don't know," he said instead. "Anywhere."
"Just want to get out, hm... Well, I could recommend Sulani. It doesn't require a visa and the prices are rather low-"
"Yeah. Sure. Whatever," Steve muttered.
"So let me get this straight. You lived your whole life in Windenburg and never wanted to leave, then you fell in a coma for seven months and the first thing you did when you woke up was sell your house and head off exploring, and when you lost all of your money instead of going back home you decide to come here but now you're still trying to earn money to go back home?"
"I'm stupid and I make a lot of irrational decisions, I know," Steve sighed.
"It's not stupid... Actually, I think it's very smart."
"How is it smart?"
"Well, you'll never know if you never get out of the kitchen, will you!" the restaurant manager smiled. A couple weeks ago she kindly offered Steve a job and a place to stay when she found him crying in the corner of the airport, not knowing what to do next.
"If you decided to come to Sulani, there must've been a bigger meaning. That's just how Sulani works. But you have to put a little effort to figure out what it is... "
"Or you can spend all of your time doing the dishes. Up to you."
"Fine, fine, I'll go for a walk... Try to find this... thing," Steve muttered. He didn't know if he believed anything anymore.
"Ugh, what am I doing here... I should've just called Peggy..."
"I'm completely lost. How am I supposed to find my way back now..."
"I should ask for directions..."
"Paa, I'm not a baby!!"
"I kno, I know. see you after school, honey."
Over twenty five years passed. Steve was heading into his fifties now. He had many situations where he glanced at the phone number Peggy gave him and thought of calling it. And every single time, something stopped him.
But there was nothing to stop him now.
Steve waited and waited. But there was nothing. Steve was on his own and he had nowhere to go. He couldn't solve his problem by running away anymore.
It's been years, he'd say to himself. She probably has a different phone number, he'd say to himself.
She probably has new friends. She probably has a new life.
She probably doesn't even remember him anymore. He just needs to wait for something to stop him from calling her. Something always does.
Steve waited.
And waited.
And then he called.
"Hello?.. Who is this?"
"Uh... This phone number... it used to belong to... uh... is this... um... s-sorry..."
Rogers?..
"Peggy..."
"...You never called."
"I'm sorry... Gosh, Peggy, I'm so, so, sorry... I meant to but I didn't want to bother you... It's just that so many things happened to me without you... and I'm... I'm such a wreck now, I feel like I'm going to have a mental break down any second and I think I'm c-crying right now... P-Peggy I'm s-so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so s-sorry..."
"Where are you?"
"What?.."
"Where. Are. You."
"I um... Sulani..."
"Sulani... let me check the flights..."
"Peggy..."
"I'll be at the airport in ten hours. Meet me there."
"Peggy, I..."
"You promised to tell me about your adventures, remember? Don't think you're getting of so easily, partner..."
Peggy and Steve. It was strange. Steve knew that Tony was, is and will forever be the only man he will ever be able to love the way he did. But with Peggy... It was different. It was unusual.
They still haven't figured it out, not entirely. They didn't know what to make of it.
But it saved him. It filled the empty hole Tony left.
And it brought two new humans into the world. Peggy's initiative.
Peggy wasn't a start of a new family. Peggy was the continuation of the family Steve already had. She didn't ask questions. She didn't judge him. She listened, she comforted and she stayed. After all these years, she was still his Peggy and he was her Rogers.
They were best friends. They were partners. Forever.
And just to top it off, the whole relationship between Peggy and Steve was partly inspired by Dolly Parton's Sugar Hill song. It's all in the lyrics
All the sims err'day
I have (had) a family of 3. Parents and a daughter. The daughter got to young adulthood and shortly after dad croaked. Luckily the Grim Reaper listened to the pleadings of his wife. She was no spring chicken, either, but I wanted the parents alive until the daughter could graduate from university (while living at home) and fend for herself. Also I've been trying to get her to hook up with another sim so they can start their own family down the road. I had her hit on him at a BBQ party in the yard when BOTH PARENTS DIED AT THE SAME TIME!
I had the daughter plead for her mother and the GR let her live. But I couldn't get the mom to plead for Dad. (one plead per GR visit I guess). Now dad pops up as a ghost but so far no one has seen him as they are asleep. Still it was oddly fascinating to see both parents do the death animation at the same time. Some BBQ.
I’ve had my laptop for seven years, though. It plays Sims 3 fine on high graphics settings. Maybe if I got a PC that was good for gaming, it’d be able to handle Ultra settings perfectly. It still operates on Windows 7 (so old, I know) and I’m used to Windows systems. I also don’t use the touchpad, I use a mouse.
They're planning a Winterfest wedding. It's going to be beautiful!
