7 years ago, The Sims 4 was officially announced at gamescon! Check out the official announcement video below

During this event they previewed the new build tools, CAS features and even showed some early gameplay!
The game then came out a year later in September 2014.
Comments
I hope not. This game is far too buggy and needs more content.
Whoa
He says what most of us are thinking but not ready to admit it
Exactly, in his latest review...he said EXACTLY what I thought with the "overstaying" comment.
I like reading old threads of people saying what they want in TS4 but didn't get
The Sims 4 hasn't introduced a new musical instrument since 2017
I couldn’t help but 🐸🐸🐸🐸 at her description of the sims themselves. How she said that with a straight face I don’t know. “Your Sims will feel all emotions!” (Except fear, we didn’t add that)
I’m guessing the emotions passionate and depressed were removed as I have never saw them in game.
Right? I say be thankful for what you've got
Yeah, I mean it's not that the game doesn't have it's fair share of flaws waiting to be fixed, but all in all I still enjoy it and have fun.
I think op is refering to the announcement date instead of launch date.
I do very much hope they have learned from this when they finally move onto the Sims 5. I didn't touch the Sims 4 until toddlers were added.
Announcement was 2013, release was 2014
There are no perfect games. I'm also enjoying this one.
