Hello! So here is my very early progress on my latest creation... Veronaville!

I am trying to stay true to what the Sims 2 version was... but Sims 3-ify it!

Update 2.0

    OHDays! @Rflong7 you are still around?! Yay!

    Thank you for your feedback! I have a little update, working on colour palates / re-shading etc. I have to re learn how to do it again! The farms took a time! haha!

    Oh I love how this is looking right now. I have been hoping that someone will make a "true to sims 2 " version of Veronaville.

    @Pary - thank you!! Yeah, I don't always like when people put the Rabbit holes in the middle of the town, I will be having a little "downtown" area somewhere for all those buildings!

    I am also taking some creative liberty with some stuff though, such as putting an actual ranch behind the Monty Ranch, but if people do not like that they can easily remove the lot...

    @LucidLenny - I know tell me about it! I am usually quite quick in building worlds, but I am trying a different technique and it requires me being a lot more attentive. Also, usually I build and build and its done, but by the end I am so DONE with the world the lots do not look to good, terrain painting is sloppy. My routine now is to wake up and start creating, so when I am getting a bit "bored" I will stop working on it, so then when ever I am ready to work on it does not feel like a chore.

    Here is a little update, the farms are taking a little bit of time, but I really like the result. Got a bit bored of painting lines, so I started doing to the edging.

    Also, you can see here the stables / ranch located behind the Monty's Ranch, what do you all think?

    Oh wow, I think it looks lovely :)
    I know that some creative liberties have to be taken with TS3 and its worlds, to accommodate rabbitholes and stuff. For me, it really is the Late Night highrises that spoil some recreations for me, in the middle of suburbia.
    But, that's just me.

    This is really cool. A very well done world so far :) - Love the attention to detail. It's very nostalgic towards The Sims 2 which I like:) Good job, keep up the work. I attempted doing this myself during lockdown. Looking forward to seeing more.

    I took a different approach when dabbling with it. It was more 'if Veronaville had been made in TS3' instead of a recreation ;

    oh neat, ive just finished making all the Veronaville lots and playable sims, but ive only had Sunset Valley and such to test the gameplay in.
    Rebuilding Sims 2 inside Sims 3 one lot and sim at a time.

    See my Sims 3 studio for latest progress.

    Wow! Awesome! I spent so much time without checking out the community that I literally didn't know that I would meet a number of talented artists! Wow, your Veronaville is just amazing!
