You mean the skill class any sim can sit in? Or the optional elective one (which is unlikely as fabrication and juice fizzing doesn't have one)?

I remember they mentioned it as part of crosspack compatibility. I cannot tell you which post, but it is out there if you want to confirm before buying.

@EgonVM It depends on what is being studied. Fabrication is an elective. Pretty sure I saw it! My Sim is getting a distinguished degree in art. I think juice fizzing was there also but under some other major. I noticed that some with degrees parenting is not offered as an elective or the classes offered as elective are random. My Sim was not offered parenting as an elective but I know it was there before. It's weird!

The elective courses seem to rotate, so the same ones aren't always available every term. Plus, the names don't always obviously indicate which skill the course is for. So it is definitely possible that these new electives are there, but you may not always see them.

    No, I didn't know.

I just realized the knitting pack came with a new aspiration, too. Unfortunately, I have no picture to support that claim.

As I play in Danish, a picture would probably not prove anything anyway. I changed the aspiration of a sim to the new one.

    Ooh... That's great to see.

My observation says otherwise. The optional elective classes you can choose don't depend on the degree your sim is getting. It is random, but you can't choose the same class twice. I've sent two sims to university to get the same degree and their choice of optional elective classes was different.
But I won't doubt that fabrication and juice fizzing is left out thanks to you. I was just unlucky and didn't find them. To get those course name, I'll have to make a 8 sim household and have them all enroll in different universities.

Found the knitting optional electives. The class is called "XTREME KNITTING" in UBrite and "Get Knit" in Foxbury.
Haven't found fabrication and juice fizzing optional electives yet...

I think the goal is to add an elective class for every skill that exists in the game, which is pretty nice.

I think someone advised me before that if I want to reroll the offered electives, I should save shortly before my sims (re-)enroll, and reload the game if the elective I want doesn't show up.

I didn't know the knitting pack has....

    Knitting Skill Books
Random Craftables on Plopsy (magic potions lol)
Plopsy is available on phone and computer and is an instant action (orange dot)
Not a lot of build buy mode stuff but lots of swatches and also lots of stuff you create which kind of makes up for it.

I am really happy that there are so many electives and that knitting is one of them.

Aren’t skill books like the worst possible way to learn a skill anyway? My sims get like 5 pages in and the put the books away every time.

Actually performing the skill is the best way to learn, but skill books can work fairly well. Make sure your Sim has nothing to distract him/her (leave the knitting basket out of the inventory!) and it can help if you can get the Sim Focused before they start reading. The Peace and Quiet lot trait can also help with reading; haven't tested to see if Study Spot (from DU) has a factor as well.

if your sims quickly loose interest in reading ..you can send them to a library or choose a lot trait for reading.
