The Sims 3 (Remake - name your requirements in comments below)
Sims 3 has always been my favorite in the series. The ideal for me would be TS3 with the gallery, CAS, build-buy and UI of TS4 and remastered graphics. Oh and quicker loading times. So basically a combination of the best of TS4 with the best of TS3
Not sure why people hate the rabbitholes so much because I like them. They're one of the biggest things I miss in TS4. It's nice to just send your sim off to a rabbithole restaurant and have them disappear for a while and come back happier, I can't be bothered to follow them around everywhere and do everything for them

From my ideas pool thread in 2015 and my views have not changed much since then
This is just a collection of ideas for us to put together for a possible TS5, if and when it comes out.
Life stages:
All life stages should be included:
Baby (real babies, not objects)
Toddlers (could we go through the lack of toddlers again)
Children (Keep them like they are)
Pre teens (why not)
Teenagers (With their own height & voice)
Young Adults (Make them look very slightly younger than Adults)
Adults (No change needed)
Elders (With their own walk, wrinkles and voice)
World:
Open World only, no silly loading screens. If it worked in 2009, it will work in the future
Allow us to add lots of any size and edit the world as we wish
Make it look like GTA but without the violence lol
Gameplay:
Keep it cool like TS1, TS2 & TS3 style with charm and humour
Leave out angry poops
Traits and Aspirations/ Lifetime wishes:
Make Traits & Lifetime wishes like TS3 & Aspirations like TS2
Careers:
Bring back all basic careers as well as options for part time work and for teens to work their own hours to fit in with school
Careers should be:
Business
Police

Education
Culinary
Journalism

Grave Digger (why not)

Teens:

Add more weather in later EPs

Repair man/woman
Police
Fire
Mail Delivery
Newspaper Delivery

The best of all of them.

What about somewhere designed for children like a fun house
And height sliders
And firemen
And church ( that would be tricky because of the fact that there is many religions)
And restaurants
And freelancers
And vets
And the ANGRY POOP interaction with a toilet
And keep the TS4 camera but with the option to use ts3 camera
And keep the cartoony graphics
And funerals
And wills
And the ability to own as many houses as you want
And to rent houses you own to people to make money
And the ability to not buy a house but rent it instead
And trampolines
And space rockets
And easles
All the current emotions+scared
I would want them to update the graphics for Sims 1 and Sims 2 games. EA isn't the same company it once in its heyday with the current CEO and Board of Directors. I am going to be good and not say what I honestly think about the company and CEO because I don't want to offend anybody by throwing shade or get another warning from the Gurus for not playing nice with others. If we had EA the way it was back it's Golden Years I would be all for a remake rather than just jazzing up graphics and making it playable on modern computers. Keeping it simple assures that they can't mess it up too badly. If I offended anybody or appeared to throw any shade today I apologize.
Playtesting - not just tabletop games and card games any more. Really that should have been playtested in Beta and not
I am actually playing Sims 2 right now. Still love it. But it would be nice to be able to play without having to tweak graphic rules, RAM usage, and get CC replacements for some of the particularly out of date clothes and hairs.
It would also be nice if it was completely ported over to Mac so I don't need a Windows partition. They started that process, but never finished it.

Complete remaster of Sims looks. Everyone basically looks like a robot as I see when people post pictures, Ability to recognise everything you bought from the Sims Store and download it without fuss as a complete file and to be able to play without mods to run it without crashing. Keep CAS.
There were parts I liked but not for very long and the last EP 'jumped the shark' as far as I was concerned. I stopped enjoying it much after World Adventures, which I loved and that hasn't an equal on Sims 4 either.
As in making the game compatible with current computer systems I still play TS2 as is, but it needed a lot of tinkering and help from forum folks to get it running on Windows 10 The older graphics do not deter me at all, especially in many areas - particularly related to buildings and objects they are superior to the vaunted TS4.
The Sims 2 (Remake - name your requirements in comments below)
I would love a remake of TS2 with only two changes: open neighborhoods and story progression with a functional toggle for those who don't want it.
The main reason that TS3 is my favorite game of the series is that it had story progression and an open world full of Sims that were doing their own thing. In TS2, I disliked having to go around to families that I wasn't interested in, making them woohoo to have babies, or aging them up to keep the neighborhood on the same timeline. I have never liked having full rotational gameplay. I prefer to play one extended family along with some of its branches. I'd rather that the rest take care of themselves and surprise me with the outcomes.
The Sims 4 (Remake - name your requirements in comments below)
This was hard... I'd probably just want to keep playing Sims 4, but if they could remake it with more life stages and non-mutual relationships, taht's what I"d want.
None of the above? I never look back darling, it distracts from the now.
Besides, I never want to go back to those empty TS2 worlds or the confusing and difficult to use CAS from TS3. And worst of all: Being trapped in one world all together. *shudders* Those were dark times indeed.
And Sims 1, well, there are a whole heap of problems with that one that make me never want to touch it again.

Rabbit holes! Wish there was more active jobs. Some of the base games ones because for the other ones you NEED to get packs and not everyone can afford that

This - along with a simpler cap and less pre-created styles (because maxis didn't always have the best taste...) would be my dream game.

@TamakiSakura84 I completely forgot about the Turn Ons and Turn Offs system!
Loved the Wants and Fears ♥ Had both minor and major things too.
