I am still hoping for an occult EP, including more than one occult, some occult careers and a bigger occult world with darker and lighter neighborhoods.
Werwolfs and fairies, fortune teller and ghosthunter, a dark forest area, a fairy meadows area and a medievil town area would be great.

Need I remind you of the hot mess of Sims 3 Supernatural? With zombies eating your potion ingrendients on a weekly basis unless you turned full moon off?

I don't know why people keep bringing up sims 3 zombies. They know people didn't like that I highly doubt they would make EXACTLY the same annoying zombies. All of the occults in this game are different from sims 3. Plus they would happily nerf them if people complain lol.

I honestly believe these would be one of best zombies if they make them in sims 4 just like vampires. Because they know from the past what people like and don't like.

Plus I imagine they would stay contained in one world like they have also been doing. So no one will have unwanted flooding zombies.
Zombies, oh please oh please give us zombies!! :'(

Oh dang, now I'm imagining a zombie skill tree. There could be perks/weaknesses that decide your state of decay, you can go from a slow shamble to a proper sprint, you can start to eat normal sims food again. Or you can gain zombie strength and gain the ability to infect others. You can either pick perks that make your sims slowly become more and more human, or perks that make them more monstrous and dangerous.

We need a supernatural game pack no need to add every monster race in it if you buy it no more a 'generic' supernatural pack. Like Ghost Hunting, Seances, And a new career and or skill

I too would like to offer my services when it comes to summoning demons, poltergeists, bad luck, nuisances and other various inconveniences. My specialty is random legos all over the floor.

A toggle to turn them on/off would be enough to please the people who go out of their way to buy didcated supernatural packs. This way they also would not need to nerf them down if they came as a side feature in an expansion pack. Someone said they wanted a toggle for aliens and i understand that since the pack they were included with had many other features that people with realistic gameplay also use.

@Mareah Yeah but I think this is going just a bit too far with the toogle requests. Do aliens really bother you that much? I cannot remember the last time I saw an alien let alone was annoyed by one just because of its existence. I understand people want to play the game exactly the way they want to but this is not possible in any game, not the Sims or any other game. To have a game designed exactly to your liking I think you'll have to design it yourself. Otherwise sometimes you have to make compromises.
And if you buy a pack called "vampires" and then come to the forum complaining about the vampires and you only wanted build and buy items well then that's your choice, you were the one who went out and bought a vampires pack so learn to live with what you bought.
Where's my Sims 5 squad at?

Word of advice: Don’t ever send your sim to Alien Night at the Bar. If you do so, it will be painfully obvious for the rest of your poor sims’ life who’s from planet Sixam and who’s from planet Sixam...

We definitely need a ghost/demon summoning pack (please give me the option to create a demon sim).
I'm probably one of the rare few here, but I love using the occult aspects in my Sims 4 games. xD

When everyone's favorite pack for Sims for occult elements is one from 2002 then we have a problem... (Or whenever Makin Magic came out I wouldn't know)

I mean a lot of people say that the best incarnation of magic was Makin Magic and that is a huge issue in of itself.

Hmm. I didn't play that one. Unfortunately, I missed Sims 1 and joined in during Sims 2.

The game has been out for what, 6 years? And we only got 2 fully fledged occults, it's been a real drag for sure. I got so excited with the approach they choose for vampires, it gave me high hopes for TS4 occult gameplay. Well so much for that...

Ikr? The idea is solid, put the occults into their own packs rather than tacking them onto expansions so that way the players who don't want them don't have to get the life state "forced" onto them and the dev team can flesh out the occults more so they're more than just normal sims with a different skin. But naturally, it backfired because there are many realism players who are also "completionists" or like the gothic BB/CaS items so naturally they're going to buy the pack, but then turn around and complain about the main feature of the pack.

Like how dare the sims team try to cater to everyone in a fair manner? /s -_- xP
Give our Vampires back their fangs!!! Reverse the Nerf!!! Occult simmers should not be shoved aside for the "realism players"! It's time Occult lovers/players started to demand equal treatment. #JusticeForOccults

Ooooh, but we are not done yet...

The threads of your future knit together in a wave of darkness.

    After Knitting, something Dark...

Some may have noticed our pal Grim has made a couple of sneaky appearances in those Nifty Knitting screenshots on the blog & twitter. I know he’s an all-round popular guy, but still...no deaths now, but what about next little Grim Plushy?
    Indeed...What about next?

But we all have to agree Grim has been lurking around the place lately. Occult game pack in September. I can sense it in my old bones. Hopefully my bones haven’t been playing tricks on me this time around...

What's the name for the people who play occults as "normal" as possible? I mean, my spellcasters and vampires will be knitting next week. Happily! It's the perfect cover from the normies.

I like the thought upthread about Strangeville having this game's version of zombies. They definitely have an Invasion of the Body Snatchers thing going on which I appreciate. A little foray into the sci-fi-horror B-movie zone, I love it. Though I'd respect someone else not enjoying those vibes as we naturally won't all like the same thing. I didn't really enjoy zombies as a thing in Sims 2, though. I mean, yes, they were a bit funny, but no real enjoyment on my part and I didn't really "need" them.

Anyway, I voted for knitting because it's very, very close to what I do for a living. It's fun and it doesn't need more content than a stuff pack provides. I don't stop there though. I advocate strongly for Happy Haunts to be more fleshed out, because I don't want it as a stuff pack. It needs to be an expansion. Not even a game pack will do. I would love to see a few careers come from it: a hunter, who will specialise in vampires (if the player owns the Vampires pack), ghosts or UFOs (both base game ). They hunt their respective quarries after some levels of learning the basics and getting promoted through the ranks. Gadgets aplenty, and those with a scientific nerd brain and athletic abilities should apply! Probably works like the police career in how things are handled.

A fortune teller, who can actually be psychic (I don't abide by that stuff in real life, but in a Sims game? Bring it on!), and could tie-in as a career for spellcasters and non-spellcasters alike. They set up shop to sell mystic stuff, again similar to the spellcaster purchases, but with some cards (not Tarot as such, a Simsified variant thereof), and stuff which may or may not have actual "properties". They will offer love potions and readings and bounce off the variants from 2 & 3. They may also sell things which help the aforementioned hunters out. Non-spellcaster sims wishing to pursue this career run a risk of being considered charlatans or con artists by other sims, though some may be blessed with a trait for good intuition or luck which helps them prosper - this is so a player doesn't have to own Realm of Magic. The love potions from here are not the same as Realm of Magic mixes and may or may not actually help a lovesick sim.

Careers aren't just for the living, either. I want ghosts to have more to do, including the opportunity to haunt a place as a career (I'm riffing of a show from my childhood called Rentaghost); they have a head office called Spook Central (obligatory Ghostbusters nod) and written guides for the newly dead ("Handbook for the Recently Deceased", Beetlejuice). You can follow them to the job they're sent to, and can possess objects, scare Sims (BOO!) and also provide counselling services from the beyond. Whatever the job requires - obviously some more original content would be required as well, but it works similar to other careers or timed tasks already in the game.

I have no interest in werewolves, fairies or whatever else is thought to be missing, but this would still be a great way to introduce them. Perhaps we can see something of The Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (or rather, a Sims variant of this), and we can have a character called Heckboy. For... reasons. This is where we can learn more about Emily the Sea Monster, perhaps Bigfoot turns up, and Cthulhu (because why not?!), plus mermaids could be more fleshed out here too. Further, I hear tell of the Simsonomicon, a mystical and powerful tome that is kept hidden in the vaults of the Bureau. It would be quite interesting or terrible, if it were to be removed and fell into the wrong hands!

This is all possibly too much for just one expansion, so let's call it at least a two-parter and have done with it.

I would love demons to be included, by the way, but I'm not sure that'd happen since they may skirt into religious territory which, whilst all of us can have our own takes and mod what we like, may not be something Maxis/EA want to touch in the Sims for all the obvious reasons. Slight sad on my part, since my main guy has to be a vampire instead (he's always been written as a (half-)demon, since I thought him up in 2001).

TL; DR: Frankly, anything would be good but I don't think Happy Haunts losing out to Knitting is the end of the world. We know our occults need more than a stuff pack!

Oh dear XD Lilsimsie is a sim YouTuber, right? I don't follow a lot of Gamechangers or Youtubers outside of Carl and LGR.

She is a very strong advocate for realism only but she did a stream where she challenged herself to see what Occult she could possibly stand if she had one in a household. I forget her comments but I think she hates ghosts the most

I just remembered on video of hers "trying" to play occults and basically saying how much she dislikes then for 15-20 minutes straight. She is a little whiny.

I'd say more than a little whiny if she spent a good 15-20 mins just complaining how much she hates playing as occuls, I mean that can't have been a fun video/stream to watch if all she did was complain. :-/

Ah, that makes sense. People like her are what ruins the fun for other people, they're the reason why vampires have been nerfed. Seriously, if you don't like occult gameplay, don't buy the pack, you can just ignore it. If you don't want ghosts, sell the urns or have the spirit move on so they don't "haunt" the house. It's that simple. I don't get why people can't grasp that?

"But I like the decorations!! How dare EA make a pack with mechanics I hate but awesome CAS items smh cater to me!!!" And here we are...

Ikr? How dare they try to make everybody happy? The sheer audacity is outrageous!
