Hi all.
I'm hoping some of you can point me in the right direction. There are so many lots on the exchange and I find it a tad overwhelming. I'm hoping to find a cafe/coffee shop, bowling alley, arcade and just general recreation places like that.
I'm currently playing in Appaloosa Plains. My sim is living in the barn with her horses. I'm not great at building and she didn't have a lot of money to start with so I just put them all in one big room. It's actually been quite convenient, especially when the horses get spooked. However, as you might imagine, there isn't a lot for her to do on her home lot besides watch TV or read. The rest is taken up by an awkwardly built race track and jump run.
I'd like to place a few fun places out in the community for her to visit, hence the above request. Thanks in advance for the suggestions!

Reuploaded it,the link on another post on this thread*
I have to find my link if not got to reupload.I have used this since making it in any town I use since and it seems to do well patron wise.No CC but lots of stuff packs store and expansion pack content used so if you dont own all that I would not recommend DL it.The signs are my orginal designs the pub is named after Riverview Townie Betty Simovitch and they were made using create a pattern so no CC will be in your game.
The activitiues are ordering drinks of course, can eat bar food, play pool, has a jukebox for dancing regular or slow and dartboard to use also.I used two pro dive bars so if it gets busy there is no wait.
My advice is EA towns they tend to have useless community lots that take away from the ones you want to fill.Example a town may have 3 different pool lots or 4 parks those sims would show up at your key businesses instead of spread all through the town always keep that in mind when wanting lively venues.Destroy ones that are not needed

This is the last one I added so it'll have the most in it but you really only need to have the gondola as everything else would be replaced by other things.

It's got a large area underground with cafes and all sorts of things. I wanted it to be a bit mysterious with under ground tunnels. This was because I didn't like the look of huge bridges for Sims to cross over to the island. You'd probably need Into the Future too as I added lots of Dew Flowers to the lot.
I've had it in a few different worlds but not Appaloosa Plains. The colours change in each world so you might not see the colours in these pictures in that world.
I only found out about the colour change thing after I built it. I think the worlds in these pictures were Lucky Palms, Aurora Skies and the Future world. All the bright pinks and blues were in the future.
This is the Old Mill Teahouse and Residence.

I never managed to get the teahouse to work properly. But there is enough other stuff in it for it to be fun to play in and you might have more patience with it than I did. I think the best part of it is the barn. It is set up for horses with a paddock and they have a greenhouse too. The residence is upstairs. The teahouse is set up but if it's on a residential lot it doesn't really attract customers. I put a mod in to get some customers but I didn't set it up right and the whole town turned up so I gave up after that.
Upstairs where they live
The tea house part of it - ground floor
They have tables set up outside on the veranda too.
I discovered the horses got a panic attack from the scare crow so I had to lock the gates to pets to keep them away from the scarecrow.
The barn has two levels above the part the horses live in.
It's full of skilling stuff.
You could knock the house down and remove the skilling items from above the barn and make it a comfy living area and you horses could then have a huge area to run around in.
I also have a few roller coaster lots as well.
Magic Gnome's Magical Treasure Park

It has all sorts of things in it for Sims to do for fun including a magic mirror room where they can find treasure.
Carnival on the Water has a Showtime stage and a few other things for sims to do.

Green Fun Park is a cut down version of Rolling Thunder which is way too big to run on a normal gaming computer

I have this one in my video series of Perfect Genetics Challenge. It's got 3 roller coasters in it including a Scary roller coaster underground.
There's a lot of different things for sims to do on this lot.
Spectral Bakery is haunted - the graves in the yard have ghosts in them and they do come out at night.

I built it in Midnight Hollow but have it in Moonlight Falls in my Perfect Genetics Challenge game.
There is a residence upstairs but sims tend to not want to stay there if it's on a community lot. There are plenty of customers to the bakery though.

Another attempt at having a residence upstairs. It is best played as a bakery. Lots of customers turn up.
The fridge from Into the Future generates a waiter if it's on a community lot.
I've used Katy Perry Stuff Pack in it.
The Green Door Bakery has several areas for sims to enjoy.

Bluewaters Fun Park has 2 roller coasters plus lots of things for Sims to do. I used it in a recent video I did over the Christmas New Year break for 2019 2020. I had a lot of sims in a single house and experimented to see how many I could fit into the house. I stopped at 98 when the game was becoming unstable. I then released them into this venue and they seemed to find a lot of different things to do.

You might like some of the lots made by My Sim Realty. I like Barney's Corner Arcade. mysimrealty.com/Sims3_Community_University.html
Not sure if you have Showtime, but I like these 2 because they fit on relatively small lots and combine more than 1 function.

I'm looking forward to checking out the different builders and looking at all the resources. This is definitely a huge help and will make things a lot easier.
