Musician along the lines of the actor career, absolutely.
I also want what I'm missing from Sims2, the ability to run a hair salon or a bar (or other entertainment venue).
I'd like playable factory and construction careers, because I think a lot could be done with them animation-wise and I would like more blue collar options. They could totally make a construction site like the acting set that changes every time or as you advance so that you can move up from plumbing through running big equipment...
I just want more low-paying jobs. I don't like my sims to get too rich, since it's boring. I want the "part time jobs" to have a "full time" option, just poorly paid.
How about a doctor or vet who makes house calls? Or pet groomer/stylist? Also, wouldn't it be nice is sims who reach level 10 and can mentor can register as Instructor and receive a fee for their time spent mentoring?

I second this. Mentors should have the option to register as an Instructor and get paid for their time and effort.
Although I don’t think their kids should have to pay...they can do house chores instead.

Oh well, I guess we'll need supermarkets to go with the supermarket employee (career?). I don't mind
Also, active teacher career, yes please!

know its a long list but there are so many careers out there why can't our sims have the same
I would like like hotel manager, interior designer, funeral director, nanny, event planner... More jobs that can be active should you choose to go to them.
I am thoroughly enjoying a lot of these suggestions! I think a farmer, elementary/high school teacher, librarian (especially if you can do storytime since I'm a children's librarian IRL), mechanic, firefighter, therapist, a live-in nanny would be cool if you didn't have to control the rest of the household, construction worker, professional athlete, dancer, astronomer, gymnast, zoologist (I want more animals in-game, even if they are not playable), etc. I love having options for jobs! It would also be fun to have "exotic" jobs like a psychic or fortune-teller, paranormal or occult investigator/hunter, beer/wine producer, magician, professional treasure hunter/adventurer, photojournalist, racer (cars, bikes, horses, whatever), animal trainer, equestrian, acrobat/circus performer or like Cirque de Soleil, etc.
Personally, I think the greater variety of careers we can have in the game, the better!
Me personally I wish my sim could be Rockstar or an Iventor.
Oh I definitely want the Rock star and Rock God aspiration back. One of my fav Sims Ivan Rasputin went from a one room cabin to a goth rock idol with a mansion. The musician career we have now is only classical. Boring.
A more immersive music career for sure where you can go to concerts. I would like to also have a vet career without having to own your own vet because it can be hard and I would like a rabbit hole sometimes for a career like that.
I would like to see careers involved in air travel, like a pilot career and flight attendant career. It could work a bit like the freelance career and acting career where you choose your flights and get paid per flight if you are a pilot and it tells you how long the flight will take, so your sim might not be back for a couple of days and you have the option to bring family if you want to? This seems like a realistic way to approach it.
I would like to be able to join all the npc careers - maid, gardener, repairman, mail delivery. I would enjoy if it was a non active career, but when you would switch the household you could actually see your PC sims doing their jobs around the worlds.

Ha..the cruelty...
Journalist actually exists. It's a branch in the writers career.
Hold SHIFT while using the FRIEZE tool to apply it to a single wall, and not an entire room!
** SailorCeti's Builds **
If you download one of my builds, by all means, leave me a message and tell me what you did and did not like about it.
Something to do with pets could be fun too, like a dog walker or animal trainer
I saw someone say zoologist and I think that would be really neat!
I'll probably think of more careers later, lol
As a doctor in GTW your sim is sometimes required to make house calls and travel to community lots to help during an outbreak.
Ooo, I should play some more then.
