There is an incoming call from Claire's assistent, it's about a murder , they found a body in the toilet at the baseball fields , the victim should be a male. They put Claire on the case to solve this murder and find the suspect. Once she arrives at the crime scene , she scrolled her eyes what she see there a white male around 30 y.o being hitted whit a stub subject he has a big flesh wound at the back of his head , now its on me to clear out what did happend here few hours ago. I saw some girl crying outside so lets start to ask her a few questions...

Claire: Can you tell me what exactly happend here from the beginning? Lisa: Here where to best friends playing baseball one of them was my boyfriend , they do that all many years together , they do live for that sport. Getting emotional :'(:'( Claire: u may continue your story you don't have to be scared to tell me "Slowly on she will do" Lisa: So me and my boyfriend came watch to the game they had today , it was really exciting till the last moment but they just lost with 1 point difference , my boyfriend went to the toilet and i saw these two guys enter the building , minutes later still no boyfriend to see "started to worry about it" i decide to take a look where did he stay so long and i found him there on the ground full of blood around his body "start crying again :'(
Claire: That's impressive ,i will check it out maybe i can find something usefull there , thx for your information :)
"searching the area for clues" Claire did found something important for her case a piece of brown male hair near the body , he left his footprints after in the blood " hmm not smart of him" So why we call him not up for a interrogatory Claire: Hi mr. Barnes i got a few questions for you , can u tell me why did i find your hair near his body and your footprints full blood? Nick Barnes: To be honestly i woulden't this guy dead at all , but i would learned him a lesson , i warned him to come not in Lisa's neighborhood but he woulden't not listened to me , the reason is we were a couple few months ago and i still do love her , but she ignored me all the time sine she met her new boyfriend. So me and my best friend tought to learn him a lesson , my friend begun hitting him with his rings so that he feel how hurt it does , then i coulden't keep me in and i hit him with my baseball bat , then a few minutes later he lay there lifeless on the ground , didn't mention to do that. Claire: That was not so a good plan to do that , now u can feel the consequences of it, i will send it to my big chief he decide what's going to happen further with you! I can tell you it doesn't look so good for you. I can close my case, yaay. :D Now we have to wait what happen further with them. zyQBGJd.jpg

Detective Beckett was called to investigate the murder of The Lab CEO’s Robert Ripley. It happened in his house, on the night he was having dinner with his family and business partner. All the attendees are suspects, all with means and motive to have done such a thing. The detective found a few clues on the scene; a strand of blonde hair, a feathered earring, a dirty boot print, and some brown cardigan buttons. #glovelysqcc

It all started when Bella Kaiser was poisoned at her own Bachelorette Party. But, who did it? Suddenly, the stripper becomes the detective and all five bridesmaids are suspects. Could it be Lola Kaiser, the snobby older sister who was always jealous of Bella? Maybe it was Rosa Robbins, the thrill seeker? Ivy Fawkes, the girl in love with the groom? Or even Rina Goldsworthy? Rumors are she was in love with the bride! Certainly, not sweet Patty who's always been there for her friends?! #GLovelysQCC

Lola Kaiser, the maid of honor, was last seen talking to Bella in the restroom right before she was found cold on the floor of the party. But, is that a reason to believe Lola was behind this? Was there enough time for Lola to slip a few pills into Bella’s drink before her dark fate? It had always been clear that Lola was envious of Bella from the beginning. Her younger sister always got what she dreamed about, while Lola always had to work, manipulate, and scheme to get her way.

Rosa Robbins hadn’t exactly been close to Bella Kaiser. They had met in college but maintained some sort of distance between each other after graduating. Bella liked Rosa for her little quirks and impulsive nature but tried to keep it off to the side as she didn’t want them to take-over her life. Could Rosa have squeezed her way back into Bella’s world?

Ivy Fawkes must have screamed when she received her formal invitation to Bella Kaiser and Daniel Lamont’s wedding in the mail. She had fallen in love with Daniel YEARS before Bella had even met him. At the time, she figured it was just a fling and let it go. But, who knew they would still be together years later? Ivy wasn’t having it. It was either her or Bella! When would Daniel wake up and realize that his true love wasn’t Bella, but in fact Ivy all along? Perhaps, she would have to do something about it.

As for Rina Goldsworthy? Unlike Ivy, she was into the bride rather than the groom. Her feelings had only emerged a few months ago. Yet, she just couldn’t let Bella get married without telling her. She was just so afraid – what would Bella think? Would Bella share the same feelings? She couldn’t bear to think what would happen if Bella pushed her away.

Patty Hernandez had always been the glue to the girls’ friendship ever since freshman year of college. She was loving, kind, and generous. Almost too generous. She would always put herself first before she worried about others. Could Patty finally have cracked under pressure? Perhaps, the chaos of the Bachelorette Party was just too much to handle. Maybe she could finally get the peace she needed if she just got one of those girls to disappear – for good.

As for the stripper? Well, luck was definitely not on the murderer’s side as Henry Jackson (the stripper they hired) turned out to be a detective undercover and he was going to get the job done!

Mystery On Set:

Winnie Pruitt is a director for the upcoming film Ocean's Calling. She wants her cast members to get along before filming begins, so she calls a mandatory retreat to her summer home in Oasis Springs. The lead actors of the film are Aiden West and Joanna Stone. The supporting actors are Pearl Hawthorne and Mika Fontana.

The cast was getting along quite well and bonding the first 2 days. Mika and Aiden had been best friends for 5 years now and were so excited that they were working on a movie together. Joanna was a huge actress who only accepted this movie offer because Aiden was the main lead. Pearl was a newcomer to the star scene, she just wanted to try her best and stay out of trouble.

On the third day Winnie found out that Mika Fontana's name was all over the news that morning because of a plastic surgery scandal. She went outside where the cast was enjoying the sun and yelled at Mika for the bad publicity he was bringing to the movie production. Aiden and Pearl were in the middle of a conversation when they stopped to watch the Winnie and Mika. Joanna could care less as she continued to practice her lines. Mika was embarrassed and was not seen for the rest of the day.

The rest of the cast and Winnie spent the remaining of the day outside. Pearl and Aiden stuck quite close to each other. Winnie couldn't help but notice that Joanna seemed jealous of how close Pearl and Aiden were. Joanna got up suddenly and announced that she would be sleeping early. She ran back into the house without saying goodnight. As night approached, the rest of the cast went into their rooms to sleep and were not seen till the next morning.

It was the morning of their third day in Winnie's summer home when a shrill scream awoke the house. Pearl, Winnie, and Mika ran outside to the source of the scream. Joanna was standing near the pool, looking shocked and pointing at something. As they got closer, they saw Aiden floating in the pool. Pearl quickly jumped into the pool and pulled Aiden out. Joanna checked Aiden's pulse and exclaimed "HE'S ALIVE!" Winnie quickly called an ambulance and they were able to save Aiden. When Aiden came back to his senses he looked scared and yelled, "Someone tried to kill me! I WAS PUSHED!" Everyone in the house knew Aiden couldn't swim. Whoever pushed Aiden, did not have good intentions.

A police report was filed and Detective Landon Keller was introduced to the case. Everyone in the house was a suspect. Detective Keller started his investigation and found out that the only two people downstairs in the house at the time of the attempted murder were: Joanna and Mika. Joanna claims she woke up early because she was hungry and had only left her room to go to the kitchen. Joanna says she heard people talking in Pearl's room as she was making her way down to the kitchen. While she was in the kitchen she had heard a splash and went to investigate. Mika claims he woke up early to deal with his publicist. He said he was trying to create new headlines to avert the attention from his plastic surgery debacle. Pearl's room had a balcony right above the pool. Pearl claims she was with Aiden last night and he had left her room early in the morning. Winnie claims she was passed out because she had drank too much the previous night. She says she had only woken up when she heard Joanna scream.

As Detective Keller was finishing his interview with Winnie they heard arguing coming from outside. Outside, they found Aiden and Mika yelling at each other. Mika was furious at Aiden for telling everyone he had gotten plastic surgery. Aiden was Mika's best friend so he had only told him. Aiden admitted he had only told one other person, Pearl. Mika was furious and turned to Pearl, "You're the reason my name is being dragged by the press! I should've pushed you into the pool, not Aiden!" Detective Keller quickly detained Mika and the case was closed.

Unfortunately, due to this incident Aiden had developed a phobia to water. Aiden quit the film Ocean's Calling, because there was no way he would be able to film near water any time soon. The film slowly went down the drain and production was cancelled. Winnie's mandatory retreat was a disaster. She vowed never to hold a retreat like this ever again.

Hi, everyone! I do hope this post isn't too long, once I got started on this idea I just couldn't stop! In the future if this is too long I'll be sure to trim it further.

The Missing Necklace:

The doorbell played a whimsical tune to the two detectives at the door. Within a moment or two, the door opened. "Marilyn Harlow, correct?" "Yes, yes, hello. You two are here earlier than I expected. Forgive my dirty hands, I've just finished some gardening. Come in, though."

"I'm Detective Callahan and this is Junior Detective-" "Dewitt," she interrupted. "Elizabeth Dewitt. Chief Roberts says you called in a stolen item." "Not just any item - my prized diamond necklace." She showed off a black and white photo of her wearing the necklace. "Wasn't I a catch back then?" "That's an impressive rock, ma'am," Callahan noted. "Well, I certainly wouldn't call it a rock. It was a gift from my dear Jason on our wedding day." "Can we talk to Jason as well?" "No, sadly. This necklace is the last piece that I have left of him. Besides our darling son, of course." "Can you show us where you saw the necklace last?" "Of course, let me show you to my room. Watch the boxes, I'm currently in the process
of moving."

"When did you notice the necklace was missing?" Callahan asked as they observed the grand bedroom. "Earlier today. I called as soon as I made the discovery. The last time I had the necklace cleaned was about a week ago. The clasp is broken on the box, see?" "Do you have a list of anyone that you think would take the necklace?" "Not many people know about it. I never wear it, it's far too valuable to me." "Who has been her since you've noticed the necklace missing?" DeWitt asked. My son and his family have been the only ones here besides me. They always come over for Sunday dinner." Marilyn looked around, lowering her voice. "Between you two and me, I don't trust my daughter in law. I think she was
the one to take it, I'd bet my brooch on it!"

"You can't keep coming here," Callahan and DeWitt overheard as they drove up to the sizable Harlow Jr. Estate. "They're around back,"
DeWitt whispered. "Perceptive," Callahan returned sarcastically. "Come on, let's go!" "Wait here for a second. Just listen," Callahan advised.

"I have the right-" "You don't have any rights here, Michael. Now leave, I don't want-" "Excuse me," DeWitt interrupted, stepping into sight. Callahan sighed, approaching slower. "Is there a problem?" "No. Michael here was just leaving." Michael looked between the two Detectives before glancing towards the lush garden and stalking off. "Are you safe, ma'am?" Callahan asked the woman. "Oh yes, I'm fine. Michael is...a friend." That's not how I talk to my friends, DeWitt thought, but decided to drop it. That wasn't why they were there.

"Are you Jennifer Harlow?" "Yes. Is there a problem?" "I'm Detective Callahan," he paused, gesturing Elizabeth forward. "And I'm Detective DeWitt. We have a few quesions for you about a missing necklace." "Oka-Oh, no, Melissa, honey, don't eat dirt!" Jennifer scolded her toddler, picking up the squirming, giggling girl and setting her down away from the plants. "Do you want to say hi to the nice people?" The toddler shook her head, hiding behind her mother's leg. "Okay. Why don't you play with your toys on the deck and give Mommy some privacy?"

"It won't be long, ma'am. You are related to Marilyn Harlow, correct?" DeWitt asked. "She's my mother in law. Is it her necklace that's missing?" "You know of her necklace, then?" "It's all she ever talks about. It's her pride and joy. Besides Jason, of course." "She claims that only you and your family were in the home since it went missing." "...I-" "Jen!" Came an interrupting cry. "When's dinner going to be ready?" Jennifer sighed under her breath, shouting back, "Not long, dear. We have guests." "I'll come meet them after my program's over," he returned inside, barely offering a look at the two Detectives. "I'm sorry about that, he works such long hours and-" "No apology needed, ma'am." "About the necklace - you're welcome to search the house top to bottom. I didn't take it. I'd swear on my life." "Thank you. Can we talk to your husband?" Callahan cut in for the first time. "Oh, yes, I, uh, follow me-"

The television was so loud that DeWitt had to wonder how one could even think with all the racket. "Jason Harlow, correct?" "Jason Junior. Are you the guests?" "Detective Callahan and DeWitt." "Detectives? Why are you here?" "Your mother reported a missing necklace." For the first time Jason Jr.'s eyes left the television. "Is she accusing me?" "She claims that your family was the only one inside the house since it went missing." Jason Jr. turned off the television, tone cold. The silence was briefly deafening. "My wife and I are not thieves. How dare you accuse me of anything of the sort. Leave my property." "We still have-" "That's all we have for you. Thank you, Mr. Harlow." Callahan gestured with his head to the door, walking away, leaving a fuming DeWitt to follow. As Jennifer escorted them out the door, mumbling apologies under her breath, the Detectives heard from the living room, "Jen, kid's gonna need a bath again! She stinks to high heavens."

"What, we're just going to walk away?" DeWitt asked as soon as she closed the car door behind her. "Yes. We are. Calm down, DeWitt. You can't let your emotions get the better of you in this job. You jumped in too early when we were approaching. That kind of
stuff is going to blow the case or get you hurt." "They're hiding something." "Could be. They're the only suspects we have. The question is, is it him or her?" "She's been nothing but kind to us." "It takes more than a few minutes of kindness to make someone innocent." "And she's not wearing jewelry. She doesn't even wear makeup. Why would she be interested in having a necklace like Marilyn's?" "Maybe she took it out of spite." "You think she hates her mother in law?" "I don't know. I do know that Marilyn doesn't care for her, or she wouldn't have
accused her." "Jason, though. I don't trust him. He spent more time looking at the television than at his family." "Being an absentee father
doesn't mean he's a thief." "Who do you think it is, then?" "I don't know." "So, where does that leave us?" "...Nowhere, for now." "Great."

"Let me take you out for a drink," Callahan offered. "A change in scenery usually gets my mind going." "Hey, if you're paying...What are we missing here?" "Well, a necklace for one." "Ha ha. You know what I mean." "The toddler could have taken it. Saw something shiny and climbed the dresser and grabbed it." "Maybe. It's not like Jason or Jennifer would need it for the money. Which leaves us without a motivation for either of them. I wish I had the chance to ask him more." "Well, I can't imagine he appreciated our accusations. He's a person of pride and status. The huge house, the expensive car. Just like his mother." "You know...something doesn't make sense." "What's that?" "Why would she leave her most valuable belonging in a simple jewelry box? Someone with that much pride and status would put it into a safe." Callahan mulled that over. "...What are you thinking?" "I'm thinking we drop by early tomorrow morning. I've got a couple more questions for Marilyn."

It was just sunrise when the two made their way back to the Harlow Sr. estate. "Looks like no one is home." "Looks like nothing is home," Callahan clarified, looking through the window. DeWitt looked in the other window, gasping, "Everything in there is gone!" "Think she left a forwarding address?" DeWitt stared in disbelief. How could she disappear so quickly?

"Wait, there's a note underneath the mat!" DeWitt picked it up. "Careful, you don't know what's-" DeWitt ripped it open. "Detectives Callahan and DeWitt - if you're reading this I'm long gone. Thank you for your assistance in finding my 'missing' necklace. I'll be thinking of you as I sip mai-tais on the beach. Love, the woman formerly known as Marilyn Harlow." DeWitt stared at the note for a long time. "...It was never stolen." "No, it wasn't." "But why?"

DeWitt thought about it for a minute before the cold rush of reality hit her. "She's suddenly come into enough money to live comfortably without selling her home. Which means she's come into a lot of money. She had it insured." "Probably for a pretty penny as well. Come on. Let's go turn this case over to fraud." "I can't believe it. My first case and I fail." "You didn't fail anything. You solved the mystery." "Yeah, but...No one was brought to justice." "Listen, DeWitt. It's good you learned this lesson early. Life isn't an Agatha Cristie novel. There's not always going to be a pretty bow wrapped around the ending." "I guess." "Cheer up, kid. There's nothing we could have done."

DeWitt spared one more glance at the house as they turned to leave. "She must have really been in a rush. She left without closing the back gate." "She probably wanted to get out of town before we figured it out." "Yeah." DeWitt stood, preparing to walk over and close the gate when she spotted a small patch of disturbed Earth in an otherwise perfectly landscaped lawn in the backyard. The two detectives shared a glance. Maybe it wasn't quite over yet. Getting on the ground, DeWitt dug with her hands until she met plastic. "Did you just find-?" "Yeah." DeWitt held the plastic bag to the light to be sure. "I think we have our way to catch our criminal."

It was nearly nightfall when the two Detectives heard the sound of car on pavement and heels on concrete. "Looking for something?" DeWitt asked."Oh, my, Detectives. You gave me a fright." Marilyn's smile dropped as she realized what DeWitt was holding. "Oh." "Oh, indeed. Couldn't just leave it behind, huh?" "What can I say, I'm an old sentimental gal." "Can you answer something for us?" Callahan asked calmly. "Why leave the goodbye note?" "Where's the fun in just leaving? Where's the satisfaction?" "Well I certainly hope that spending the rest of your life in a jail cell is satisfying to you."

"Last thing, I have to know-why accuse your daughter-in-law, of everyone in the entire world?" DeWitt asked as they escorted her to the car. Marilyn smiled, a mischievous, cunning smile. "I can't give you all the answers. Where's the fun in that? If you do ever figure it out, be sure to visit me later, dear."

Right, this is gonna be a long one so I'm sorry in advance. This challenge was so much fun, and I hope I'm not too late. Also, this is my first post on the forum, so I hope it all works ok. I was very inspired by Agatha Christie's The Body in the Library, but I tried to add my own twists to it. So here goes:

The Incident at the Hillview Hotel

Inspector Bird stood staring at his notes, perplexed. He simply could not figure out how it all could have happened.

At 9:00 yesterday morning he had received a frantic phone call from the residents of Aston Manor in Nutley: a body had been found their library! She was young, platinum blonde, wearing a pink evening gown and silver heeled sandals, with a large scratch on her hand and her face was purple and puffy - she had been strangled. When questioned, nobody at the house had any idea who she was and there wasn't a match to anyone on the missing persons list. Then at 9:30, a Mr Arthur Jeffries telephoned from the Hillview Hotel to report the disappearance of a dancer, Miss Goldie Wright, who was last seen the night before; she was young, platinum blonde, and he was sending her cousin down to identify the body.

When Miss Julia Lane arrived she was in quite a state, the poor woman - she just couldn't understand it! It was Goldie Wright, she confirmed; the two of them were dancers and hostesses at the Hillview Hotel, as well as cousins, and Goldie had been filling in for Julia on account of a twisted ankle. At this point Miss Lane completely broke down, so she, Inspector Bird and a couple of constables headed to the Hillview, some 35 minutes away at the edge of Brighton town centre. It was here that Inspector Bird found two things: a motive, and his suspects.

Mr Jeffries was a kindly old man with a very frail heart, and as it turned out, he'd been rather fond of Goldie Wright, which is why he had shown so much concern at her disappearance. He was a regular the Hillview (a rather prestigious hotel), along with his daughter-in-law Annabelle Jeffries, son-in-law John Anderson, and John's daughter from a previous marriage, Hannah. Jeffries' own children (Annabelle and John's spouses) had both died a few years back during the war, so he was rather lonely; thus he had enjoyed the company of the bubbly Miss Wright, so much so that he planned to leave his rather large fortune to her - and with her death, the money reverted back to Annabelle and John, who were the now the two main suspects.

Inspector bird has spent the last 2 days interviewing the three of them, along with Julia, who was also friendly with the family, but this is where he couldn't make sense of the evidence. The post mortem revealed that Goldie Wright died between 10:30 p.m. and midnight. And yet all 4 had their alibis.

At 10:30 p.m. Goldie Wright had begun her first dance number, whilst Mr Jefferies, Annabelle, John and Julia were playing cards.
At 10:40, the dance number finished and the guests took to the dance floor. Annabelle was whisked away by young woman to dance, whilst John excused himself to write some letters. Goldie was seen dancing and talking with several men, although nobody could remember who she was last seen with.
At 11:25 p.m. Goldie retired to her room, and 10 minutes later Jefferies, Annabelle, John and Julia began another game of cards. However at 11:40 Goldie's dance partner interrupted the game to tell Julia that Goldie was missing, eventhough it was time for their next number. He and Julia went to look for Goldie together, but could not find her, noticing she had changed into a pink evening dress instead of her tango gown, so Julia was forced to step in and dance instead, beginning at 11:50 and finishing at midnight. The evening then continued until around 2:00 in the morning.

Mr Jefferies had remained in the entertainment hall the entire time playing cards, and besides that had no motive. Julia Lane also seemed to be motive free and had only left the hall when looking for Goldie, accompanied by her dance partner the entire time. As for Annabelle Jeffries, her late husband, it turned out, had gambled away most of their money, and so she was in great need of Jeffries' fortune - but she had been playing cards and dancing with her lady friend throughout the evening. Then there was John Anderson. He was so devoted to his daughter and clearly wanted to give her the best life possible, but his business was in decline and the money was slowly running out the. He was the only one to have left the hall alone but there were only 10 minutes were both he and Goldie were unaccounted for - to drive to and from Aston Manor was at least an hour, 50 minutes at a push, so there was no way he could have taken Miss Wright there and strangled her too. They all had their alibis. So the question was, who killed Goldie Wright?

"Excuse me, Mr Inspector," a bumbling maid disturbed him from his thoughts. "Sorry to disturb you sir, it's just my friend Maisie Smith, she's a maid here too, well you see she hasn't come in to work today!"
The Inspector sighed.
"I'm sorry, but there's not much I can really do, I'm in the middle of investigating a very serious crime - "
"Oh I know sir. But this is very unlike Maisie, I mean she's a bit absent minded and all, and very clumsy, just last week she smashed a plate in the breakfast room, made a right scene, sliced her hand and everything... Oh yes, sorry sir. Well she was here two days ago, but there hasn't been any sign of her since, and I haven't known her to ever miss a day's work, and what with all the goings on...well... I'm worried about her sir."
The Inspector surveyed her concerned face. "I'll see if I can look into it, but you have to understand this isn't a priority at the moment."
"Yes sir, thank you sir!"
"Inspector Bird, there's a phone call for you" the receptionist peered over to him. He nodded to the maid, then hurried over to the receiver at the desk.
"Ah, Chief Goodacre, any more news on the...a car? Incinerated?! Well was there a body inside? Oh dear. I don't suppose you've been able to identify her?"
"Not yet Bird, the whole body is completely burned. Only thing to survive is a brooch. A brooch from the uniform of the staff at Hillview..."

Another body, another layer to the tangle of mystery. Surely the maid in the car could not be a coincidence! As he headed out of the lobby the Inspector collided with Hannah.
"Careful there! Where are you off to in such a hurry?" he asked.
"I came to find you! See, father and Julia and Auntie Annie couldn't remember who Goldie was dancing with last, but I can! It was the actor, Sebastian Hurst. I remember because I was meant to be in bed, but I really wanted his autograph. I saw them dancing together, but then I had to hide suddenly because Julia nearly saw me, and when I looked back, Goldie was heading up to her room and Mr Hurst was gone!"
"Hannah! Are you bothering Inspector Bird?" John appeared with Julia behind them.
"Oh no, it's fine actually. She was just giving me some information."
"Oh really? What would that be?"
"Miss Wright was last seen dancing with Sebastian Hurst, the actor. Do you know of any connection between him and Miss Wright?"
"Well yes, he and Goldie used to go out together a long time ago actually," Julia interjected.
"Yes, and if you ask me, there may still have been something happening between them, if you know what I mean," said John.
"An affair?! Quick, constable," the Inspector called to the young police officer waiting for him, "I need an address for Sebastian Hurst's house!"
"Well he just bought a home up in Nutley," said Julia, "Just round the corner from where you said Goldie was found!"

Sebastian Hurst watched in horror as three police cars pulled up in his driveway. As Inspector Bird stepped out the car he let out a whimper.
"You're here about the body aren't you?"
"Sebastian Hurst, I am arresting you on suspicion of the murder of Goldie Wright" two constables hurried forward and handcuffed him. An expression of confusion flickered upon his face.
"Murder?! I never murdered her!" he exclaimed, "Her body was just there, when I got home from the Hillview! I panicked, and decided to get rid of it! I was rather drunk you see, so I drove to the first house and dumped the body there instead! But I never killed her, I wouldn't!"
"What time did you leave the Hillview?"
"I don't know, half one or something! It wasn't me, I swear!"
"Mr Hurst, we are taking you to the station for further questioning" the Inspector said sternly.
At that moment, another car pulled into the driveway, and Mrs Hurst stepped out, her flaming red hair falling around her face. She stared astonished as her husband was bundled into the police car.
"Rosaline it wasn't me, you have to believe me, I love you -"
But even as the car pulled away, Inspector Bird couldn't help thinking that something felt wrong.

"It wasn't Sebastian, it just wasn't!" cried Mrs Hurst, "I know he wouldn't do a thing like that!"
"Mrs Hurst, unless you can provide a viable alibi, your husband is our strongest suspect!"
She stared despairingly down at the floor.
"Where were you last night? You were missing from the Hillview for most of the evening?"
"Well if you must know Inspector, I was at my sister's. You see, I had just seen my ex-husband. Mr John Anderson. Last time we met we were signing the divorce papers, and I hadn't seen him since. He used to beat me," she said quietly, "And seeing him there, getting into that car, well, I panicked, I though he might hurt me again. I don't think he's ever quite forgiven me for leaving our daughter."
"What time was this?" The Inspector frowned.
"About 10:45. But Inspector, you have to believe me when I say that Sebastian wouldn't do this, he just wouldn't, I -"
"Mrs Hurst, I believe you. And what's more, I think I know who did. Because you saw John Anderson getting into a car at 10:45, when he was supposed to be writing letters in his room, which means he lied about where he was. And I've just realised what was wrong about the body! Her hands! They were rough and scratched, not those of a dancer, but maybe a clumsy maid. Which means the body at Aston Manor was not that of Goldie Wright, but Maisie Smith! John Anderson has no alibi! And one more thing... Julia Lane lied when she identified the body!"

Of course, it all made sense now! John and Julia were in it together. No doubt the two of them were lovers, and wanted the money for themselves and Hannah. There plan was so detailed - create an alibi for them both by swapping the bodies. John would strangled the maid and take the body to Hurst's house, incriminating him for the murder, then return to the entertainment hall where Goldie Wright as still alive - then later, Julia would drug Goldie when she changed to fill in for Goldie's dance, then in the middle of the night drive the body, dressed as the maid, to a deserted location and set the car alight. It was all so perfect, and yet the one thing they hadn't accounted for was the body not being found at Hurst's home. What was it Julia had said when she first saw the body? "I simply can't understand it!" She couldn't understand why the body was at Aston Manor!

Inspector Bird had solved another case!! John and Julia were arrested, and admitted to the two murders. Hannah went to live her mother and Sebastian Hurst, and Annabelle and Mr Jeffries were able to live the rest of their lives in peace. All was well.

Sorry if there are any errors, and unfortunately I can't post the screenshots for the story or link the gallery page, but they are on my twitter under #GLovelysQCC if anyone wants to see them!

Also well done everyone for all your amazing stories and sims, I've really enjoyed seeing them, and reading the mysteries!! πŸ’œπŸ’œ

Billie's surprise birthday party doesn't go as planned. Billie's ghost walking through the front door ends up as the surprise. Her mom Jill faints and wakes up to Billie bending over her. The ghost of the murdered child opens her mouth as if to speak and manages only gurgling sounds like that of running water. No words. The child stomps (as much as a ghost can stomp) over to a wall and levitates a marker to write in shaky letters, "Give her what she wants and she'll go away."

J1oBWBG.png

In a bid to regain the attention of the upset children at the party, magician Viola resumes her magic show. The girls had all been giggling happily until the ghost child showed, so Viola goes with a fan favorite: she pulls a fluffy bunny from her hat. She leans down as if to offer the bunny for petting only to vanish it with a flourish of her wand. The gasps of the children have her smiling. If only they knew how real her magic is. Throughout the show, she's snuck a strand of hair from each girl.

Police consultant Professor Benoit, a genius when it comes to psychology, soon arrives with Detective Goddard. After hearing Jill's account of her ghostly daughter, Benoit begins to outline the likely profile of the murderer. Benoit expects the murderer to be a single, childless woman with a lack of empathy toward others, especially mothers and their children. In short, a sociopath out to claim a child as her own with no real understanding of that parental bond. The smell of young children nearby has Benoit fighting her own urges, her vampiric thirst, as she works the case with Goddard.

Find my entry here!

00.jpg

I didn't have enough room to write my full description, so I'm writing most of it here:

Harper Newberry graduated from Foxbury University as the top of her class, and since every single one of her classmates that also graduated got high-paying jobs in several different Police Forces, so obviously she expected that too. Well, too bad for her, because the WPD (Windenburg Police Department) didn't think degrees, even Distinguished with Honors, are a worthy testament of one's abilities. So Harper spent four years working her way up, only to be stopped by her very old-fashioned coworkers from getting any higher than a detective.

Eventually, she's assigned a partner. Carter Ragsdale is a conceited, over-confident llama who never even bothers to mention to Harper a case they were assigned until after he's "solved" it. Until, of course, he takes the day off and the chief is forced to tell her, and not Carter, that they have been told to solve a mysterious case of sudden and unexpected deaths. She's told to wait until the next day to begin investigating, and she listens, because how else is she going to get another promotion?

The next day, Carter tries to insist she stays back at the office. Instead, Harper shoves him aside and looks at the crime scenes. The four victims were all found lying on their couch, with no visible harm done, but dead all the same. From investigating the scenes, Harper notices two things- small strands of red hair near the victim, and fingerprints all over the couch. After having the DNA samples analyzed, she determines that the hair belongs to Robbin Banks, a previous inmate, and the fingerprints to C.J. Ashby, a middle-aged man who nobody ever really talked too unless he sought them out.

As they left the final crime scene, Carter spied a young college student named Riker Thomas taking his daily jog just outside the house. Carter jogged up, and asked him what he was doing near a crime scene. Riker insisted he didn't know what Carter was talking about, and then was arrested.

As Harper interrogated the suspects, it was very clear that Robbin didn't do it. She claimed that she had been close friends with all four victims, and after asking their relatives and other friends, that qualified. She knew exactly where she was during every murder, and since they were all at public places, it was easy to determine that as fact.

Riker didn't do it either, Harper knew that before he even walked in. He was sweating buckets, and his eyes were red and puffy. "I didn't do it..." he murmured. "I know that," Harper said. "You're free to go. You shouldn't have been here in the first place." He thanked her and walked out.

C.J. was weird though... he claimed to have been on a date, but he refused to say who it was with. He tried flirting with Harper, which was super creepy since he was in his 50's and Harper was in her mid-20's, and he said that Riker obviously did it.

Who do you think it was?

It's time to solve a crime: Are you ready for a Murder Mystery?

00.jpg

It was a warm and sunny August evening when the local police department received a call. Late Matthew Smith's widow, Mary Smith, was found dead in the garden of the family manor. Their Butler Frank B. was about to call for dinner when he saw the body of the elderly lady lying on the lawn. Every member of the local police agrees, the cause of death is definitely natural, nothing unusual at that age. Every member? Well, young detective Ana Solven has some doubts but the other detective brush her off. What does she know? She hasn't even been on the force for a year and is just a woman on top of that. Despite her colleagues’ doubts, Ana continued to investigate the case. Quickly she found out that Mary Smith’s jewels and other valuables have started to go missing from the manor in the past weeks. Now that sounds suspicious! Was Mary perhaps murdered for her fortune and heritage? What can we find out about Mary Smith? Mary was an ambitious lady around the age of 75 who has always strived for wealth and possessions. Her husband died seven years ago under unexplained circumstances. Since then she has lived alone in the manor with the butler of the family.

Let’s ask the neighbours if they heard or saw anything suspicious. Most people in the neighbourhood were too concerned about themselves to notice anything. Only a little girl around the age of 7 from the house next door seemed to have spotted something. She told the detective that she saw a tall man with a green hoodie and piercing blue eyes climbing over the fence of Ms Smith’s garden and handing her some sort of beverage. The man was quickly identified: Slavko Morovich, a reserved young man, who was recently brought in for a petty theft. He denies the murder and generally being in the neighbourhood at the time of the crime. But can you honestly trust a person with a criminal record?

Okay next suspect.. the butler! It’s always the butler isn’t it? He was the one who first found out she was dead. Is that because he is responsible? Him being the one calling the police could be a great cover? He does have unrestricted access to the manor and would be able to mix something extra in one of her drinks. Ana has the butler’s private quarters searched: Lo and behold some of Smith’s valuables and lots of cash were found under the butler’s bed. It turns out, the butler is a bit of a klepto and has been stealing from his employers. But is that reason enough for murder? At the station, the butler confesses to the thefts but denies the murder. He does, however, recollect seeing a little girl wandering around the edge of the property, glaring over the fence a couple of times in the last week. But come on.. do you honestly suspect that this cute little girl could have murdered Mary Smith??

Let's look into the girl. She appears lovely and innocent. She is the pride of her parents and the smartest of her class. Only her nanny talks of a slightly different side. According to the nanny, little Lisa sometimes seems a little different, not at all like herself. Almost like there are two different personalities inside her. The nanny is sure that this must be aroused by the soul of someone reincarnated. Ana is unsure, are there really people who actually believe in reincarnation?

Ana Solven is puzzled. Three suspects but no hard evidence for the murder. What should she do?

Who do you think did it? Find out in the spoilers:
Yes, little Lisa is indeed Mary Smiths reincarnated late husband. Matthew Smith was murdered by his wife seven years ago and came back in the body of a little girl to revenge his murder.

I posted my sim. I don't know how to do the link to the gallery, but here's the description for Jackie Barnes:

Jackie believes that you should be who you are; not who people think you should be. And be darn proud of it! After all, wouldn't the world be boring if everyone was alike? And as the great Oscar Wilde said, "Be yourself; everyone else is already taken."

Thank you, @GLovely1 for your help! I appreciate it.

For the Everyday outfit/Gallery picture, I tried to do all the Pride flag colors from Jackie's shirt in makeup and jewelry, but I'm not sure it looks very good. I think that I unconsciously inspired myself yesterday with the one of the songs (at least with the title, if not the song itself) that I chose to listen to during lunch. I didn't realize it, though, until after I had posted my sim. The first song was, "Be Yourself" by Audioslave. 😊 That would've made a better entry title too. C'est la vie.
