Meat walls...who wants that in their house? Are the Sims turning into 'Silent Hill'? WooHoo in a dumpster...there's nothing quite like saying 'I Love You' unless you've woohooed in a dumpster. Dumpster diving is equally uncool...that's what rats do! Literally!
I'm so disappointed in this expansion...total let-down from start to finish. Bug growing and harvesting for fuel and food? Really??
It's disgusting!...and I'm a poor working class guy! But this is grim and certainly not fun!

The Sims (especially older installments) have been about being able to tell every story no matter how crazy or chaotic. Many players just wanna do stuff they can't in real life. There are different playstyles and that's how the Sims always worked.
You're supposed to play with life and not just replicate life. Many people would find that boring.
Also if one Expansion Pack isn't for you, you don't have to buy it.
But agree, dumpster woohoo is revolting. Actually people living in trash and totally okay with it is gross...
And the overall buggy mess the expansion is...:(
Well, at least the bugs and the meat are being comfortable.
I have loved the stars too truly to be fearful of the night.
Ha'aheo, e hoʻomau i kō kāua aloha, kau a kau.
There is fizzy juice, and candle making, pretty furniture and lovely windows, and you can totally avoid the grimy stuff if you don't want it in your game.
Everything else though is not appealing to me though. Free love, dumpster whoohoo etc
Dumpster diving isn't all that bad looking for different items and things you need. Kinda like thrifting, scavenging along those lines
Personality,depth,humor,consequences,lore,customization.
And I still find that meat wall hilarious. If there's a mod around that will turn it from "faux" to "100% Grade A mystery meat", Im downloading that immediately.
I've been wanting dumpsters in this game for a long time. I remembered dumpster diving from the Urbz and always liked it. Was glad they implemented it in this game. Nice addition for me playing my rags to riches for a sim or just letting them live in squalor to be a general panhandling hobo that naps in dumpsters if they don't have a tent.
The cowplant meat wall I thought was funny. Can even use it in any meal that requires fruit, vegetables or otherwise.
Can understand that it's not for everyone, but I really appreciate them doing different new packs. If they didn't wouldn't have ones people are use to seeing now (University, Seasons etc.). I know there are many that can use this to their advantage with more off the grid options when playing those period related challenges or just how they play in general.
Not every pack will be for everyone for sure.
I LOVE that! They are all pretty attractive though so makes sense.
I do like the idea of making candles and the auroras, and I did initially like the idea of juice making, until, as I'm slowly learning, a lot of harvestables create 'suspicious' juice or whatever it is - I don't want that, and I'm not prepared to pay even half price for a couple of small interesting features.
I've learnt today that turning off the eco thing in the options menu doesn't actually stop it, it just hides the UI - that's a dealbreaker for me.
I haven't even patched yet as I hear the patch has had a lot of breakig/negative effects.
