Strip/Hide Images in Quotes

At times it's just exhaustive, to see the same picture over and over again merely because a post was quoted a couple of times all along with the image links. It didn't bother me all that much, although having to scroll more than what I had to just to see a pic I really don't have to see, it does add to one of my bad days.
So here's what I'm thinking, we already have Quote settings to pick how many quotes would be displayed, why can't we have something like preventing images from loading in them, too? Or a setting that hides images by default and only expand and show them when clicked/hovered on? There can be technical difficulties, but I do feel like we can do something to make sure things are necessarily not-too-lengthy.

Hey there. I'm glad someone saw this, though I was talking about quotes, like what I just did here. I meant to have quoted images hidden, perhaps in a way similar to spoilers you mentioned there(as I often did). The problem is it doesn't do it for others, and I can't blame them for quoting, while still would like to get something to reduce page length.
