Best/Recommended CC For Sims

Yes, I'm aware that this has been asked before. No, I do not have the patience to look through hundreds/thousands of posts dedicated to CC.
I've dabbled in CC for in-game play, but I haven't had much luck. The things I've downloaded were just wonky and didn't look right. The only site I've gone to is the sims catalog one and it's so difficult for me to navigate. There's just so much on it - I feel like I'm looking for a needle in a hay stack!
So, I've decided to ask the experts.
I'm looking for more "natural-looking" CC and not the "cartoonish" look the sims 4 is known for.
skin - preferably for multiple skin-tones (come on now, we're not Tarte)
eyes - colors, eyelashes, makeup
lips - shape, makeup
hands - maybe just nails/polish
hair - colors, length, styles (I love hair, so the more the better lol)
Clothes? Do these end up looking okay in game? I'm nervous about asking for these because the ones that I fell in love with online ended up looking really awkward in-game and I was left disappointed. But I'd be happy to get recommendations for these, as well.

That site can honestly be a bit of a nightmare, I'd recommend The Sims Resource as it's much better organised. A lot of the better known hair creators are on there as well.
If you're looking for makeup I use a lot of crypticsim's stuff, the textures work well in-game in my opinion. Pralinesims on The Sims Resource is also a go-to for makeup for many simmers out there.
As for skins and clothes I use mostly maxis match so I can't help much there, but this is good if you want to add more skin tones into the game.

Most skins I find online don't look well in-game (even with HD installed). There's a good male and female skin I found by Ms Blue on TheSimsResource. They are called Markus for the male and Mirabelle for the Female. You can check out her work here:

I don't have any clothing recommendations. Like you, they've all ended up looking wonky in-game as well. I use default/game clothing.
Sorry I can't help much more. I don't get into CC that much. I only use a few things and I'm good.
