@chr1ssymuah If the original sim dies then you should just carry on but playing no-one. So no, you can't pay the bills. How far away is the heir from aging up? If it's not long then you might be able to manage ... or you could start over.

Thanks, @Karise! I figured that was the rule, so I continued the game and the heir went 8 days without showering and without electricity, but he survived!

I am on house 2. It was a really rough start! My heir (and now drifter) started with needs in the red AND in winter. I don't know how, but he pulled through. He's already married and I'm working on a few more of the goals before producing an heir.
Alrighty, well I powered through and finished House 01! \o/ Yay! I took a TON of screenshots though and haven't had time to sort them out. Would y'all like to see some screenies or just rather have a synopsis type post? I feel kinda anxious posting so many screenshots since I know what it's like to not have the best computer while trying to load a page with a bunch.
It's not a problem for me now, but I'm sure there are others that might get annoyed/frustrated waiting for them to load. I still need to take screenshots of the final house too for the Imgur slideshow I mentioned in a previous post. Hmm, perhaps I should make an Imgur slideshow of the conclusion screenshots for House 01 too? Let me know your thoughts.
I've started House 02 with Della as well! Actually I've played so much she's already married (the pizza guy) and the House 03 heir was just born. I'll of course post about that in the thread for House 02 once I sort those screenshots out too.

@SimmingKim I've done exactly that in previous posts. I had over 50 screenies for the finale and figured that would be way too much to post here. But I've managed to cut it down to 23 and made them a bit smaller. So, forgive me for not waiting for others to chime in, I have the finale for the McDonough House 01 in the spoiler below.
Winterfest was over and all the decorations had been put away until next year. With that chore finished, Ella asked Della if she'd like to play a round of chess. She also tried to give Della 'the talk.' But it didn't go over so well. They both just ended up embarrassed.
This is the only shot I have of their New Years Eve. They celebrated together watching the countdown and drinking a toast to the brand new year. Della was even allowed a glass of 'juice.' With her parents gone to bed to continue the celebration privately, Della sat and finished her glass. She looks a bit dazed here I think. lol
Ella thought it would be a great idea for them to go out to dinner as a family to a local Italian restaurant. I don't remember the name of it, I downloaded it a long time ago. I love it though, it's very pretty.
"Great idea getting dressed up and going out, eh? We've never done that before."
Della wasn't exactly pleased with the idea. She was going through a 'mood.'
"I hate this dress! I'm not a child anymore Mother, why'd I have to wear this silly jacket with it? Uhg, it's not fair!"
Della: "Oh come on, I think you look very pretty. I know you're not a child, believe me. And besides, at least you get to have a nice steak, right?"
Don: "Ooo, it looks sooo yummy!"
Ella: "That's true."
"At least I don't have to eat your rabbit food!"
I hope Ella doesn't make Don pay for laughing later. o.O
"Just kidding Mom. I'm feeling a bit goofy tonight."
"It's okay dear, I understand."
I'm so glad I had them go out to dinner at a formal restaurant. Ella looks so beautiful in that dress, even as an adult!

The Romance Festival was going on still so Don & Ella decided to go and renew their Wedding vows.
The festival sponsors graciously shot off some fireworks to help celebrate my wonderful couple's love.
Not a lot happened the next day, except Don & Ella took the time to woo hoo in every place possible around their house one last time before Ella aged up to an elder the next day and they'd have to be more careful. Here they are relaxing afterward in the hot tub on their second floor bedroom balcony. This is one of my all-time favorite screenshots from House 01. They're so much in love. I'm going to miss playing with them.
Annnnd, here's elder Ella after a make-over. I'll spare you the aging up pics since Ella was still in her lingerie when it happened. Uh, not a good look. o.O Don of course, didn't bother to put on clothes either. He's still in his undies chatting with Della. *rolls eyes*
I'll spare you Don's gray look too, but he actually looked pretty good. Especially since his eyebrows and beard both stayed black! I've never had that happen before with any Sim after aging up. Here's elder Don after his make-over.
Ella: "Hey, let's watch a movie together, okay?"
Don: "Might as well. I've got nothing better to do since The Watcher locked up my home gym."
Della: "How dare you make my Daddy angry on his birthday! I won't forget this Watcher."
*gulp* Sheesh, I just don't want him to die from overexertion, okay?
Ella & Della: "This movie is horrible, turn it off!"
Don: "I don't get it. How am I supposed to keep my buff bod if I can't exercise?"
Ella: "OMG! He's got a chainsaw!"
Della: "Don't look!"
Ella: "I, I can't not look."
Della: "Me neither. AHHHH!"
Don: "Aha! I know what I can do!"
Ella: "...and you can take some seeds from the garden to grow your own too. You'll be just fine. Dad and I will visit every day too! Won't that be nice?"
Don: "Ooof, my back! GAH! Okay I give up, you win Watcher."
Mom & Dad went to bed and Della took solace in her room for the last time. For some reason, she decided to play the guitar that's been sitting in her room untouched since she aged up to a teen. Is it just me or does she look a little sad here?
She then decided to view her birth certificate, something she's never done before. In fact, she's never viewed any kind of painting/art or what have you on a wall. If I didn't know better, I'd think she knows what tomorrow brings.
The big day arrived all too fast. It was time for Della to age up to a young adult and move out to start her own life.
Wow! I didn't think she'd change that much, and she didn't really, just filled out a little. But those dimples! She didn't have those before. Very cool! Della is one of the prettiest born in game Sims I've ever had. Notice Don and Ella watching the Kids Channel? I think they're getting nostalgic already and she's not even gone yet.
Goodbye Della! See you soon in Willow Creek!
House 01 is now complete! Ella finished the Painter Extraordinaire, Freelance Botanist and Fabulously Wealthy aspirations. The only one she didn't finish was the one she started out with, Angling Ace. She only needs to level up to finish it though. Perhaps she will all on her own without my help. The house is worth close to 150K! I'll get that imgur slideshow link for y'all sometime soon!
Della left her childhood home with; a soccer ball, photo of Mom & Dad and some garden seeds for a total of 241 simoleans she needed to earn before buying anything else. She's done that already and much more, but I'll save that for a post in House 02. Thanks for reading if you got this far! I had SO much fun and am looking forward to a lot more.

@SimmingKim I've done exactly that in previous posts. I had over 50 screenies for the finale and figured that would be way too much to post here.
