Wow, I can't believe two have already finished already! Nice job, both of you! @creativemetaphor - I love the beach theme and you made impressive use of everything to keep in budget! @StephSteb - I really like that rock half wall for the outdoor patio with those columns. Great thinking to include a basement. That's usually the cheapest way to go. I can't see your album. Maybe you could recheck your link.
@StephSteb - Great! Thanks for the links! Sorry you had to post each one separately. I don't know about that site. I've never used it. So I can't help much. I just use Word Press now. I forgot to comment on your request for roof help earlier. I usually stretch a hip roof over the main section and add gables or half gables to it for a bit of pop.
@StephSteb on imger you can have more than one image by draging more than one picture into the box it makes it easier to share links and easier for people to see the pictures

OPTIONAL CHALLENGE: n/a
LEVEL: Beginner
LOT SIZE, ADDRESS & FINAL COST: 20 X 15, No idea somewhere in adventureland, $29,648
LOT DESCRIPTION & DETAILS: Stella Orange loves her job, her nephew, and falling in love. Since her brother and sister-in-law's tragic death, her life was turned upside down and she is now her beloved nephew's caretaker. She couldn't be happier as she has always loved her brother's artistic, broody, genius son! She was happy that he took initiative and got the construction of their new home started! It's a nice spot with just enough room for both of them! 2 bedrooms, one in the basement for Stella as she loves the cool basement on hot nights, and one in the loft for Guy, it's the perfect space for him to find his inspiration and pour himself into his art!
CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM: SOMEBODY TEACH ME HOW TO MAKE ROOFS THAT DON'T LOOK STUPID, PLEASE!

Also, I ran out of budget so it's very sparsely decorated but plan on uploading the lot (with the skilled household) after I build and decorate without a pesky budget, lol!
Ok, I'm linkymaking dumb on how to share the whole imgur library so I have no idea how to show the whole thing so here are the individual links:
Hmmm...I am having nothing but problems with the launcher, today and yesterday. Anyone else having to constantly log in? The last time it opened, the welcome page would not even display. This is sad when you wake up in the middle of the night with great ideas for a build and you can't build.
@StephSteb When using Imgur, log in to the website. Then, at the top left, there is a green button that says "new Post." You want to click that button, add all your photos for the build, and then grab the link to the album from the address bar. Just copy it and paste it into the challenge form, and then everyone can see it! That will hopefully work, but just ask if you have more questions or run into a problem.
I'm still on the old patch and don't use the launcher except to upload lots and install downloaded lots or sims, so my advice probably won't help... BUT try @iampes23 to clear out and reset the Internet Explorer browser that the launcher is tied to. There is a place to check that nothing is saved when you click reset. That is what helps me along with ccleaner and clearing out cache.package files and cleaning out the export, download, and screenshots folders. Good luck!
Because things have been very quiet on the staff facebook page, I have gone ahead and put this same challenge up for Sims 4 as well, in case anyone here is interested. I just hope everyone is doing well!!
@iampes23 if you happen to need more people to judge, I'd be more than happy to help out. I've been playing Sims 3 for many years and I love looking at the awesome builds people come up with! I enjoy building too, but I havent had much time lately. Feel free to send me a message if you need to. Have a great week everyone!
@seaben - I like that you have both a porch and a balcony for extra outdoor space and that the top floor is smaller than the bottom. I might have added a little terrain paint under the fire pit so that the fire wasn't so close to the grass.
Thanks @creativemetaphor@ciane@StephSteb for the kind comments and thanks for the suggestion ciane I like everyone's builds i can't believe how fast sum of you are at building also @iampes23 I only found this out earlier and forgot two mention it but the sims 3 does have a rabbit costume that came with showtime maybe there could be a second challenge that is Easter themed Sense people have completed there builds so fast this month

I vaguely remember writing an Easter challenge, but I no longer have it. I will rewrite it and post it here, not to be judged but just for fun. I know some of us are trapped at home, and having something to do helps greatly. Give me a day or two to get it together! Happy Easter, a bit early!
Well I managed to keep the footprint to under the 10x7 for the house. The porch extends out one tile more, but... since we were graciously given leave to use more, I am happy with it. I spent all 30k exactly and now have to CAS everything.
