Hi this is what I built today, its going to be a French Cafe
Its for coolsims birthday challenge, she loves orange, peach and yellow, loves travelling and speaking French
Your French Cafe WIP is looking lovely! @luckyheather Very nice layout and design! The umbrella covered dining tables are very nice and the water fountain feature is very nice in the middle area. Very pretty flowers that are the colours that she likes
Thanks @rosemow I have extended the pond a bit now and the left build is the Cafe with home above. The rear build has a cupcake machine and the right build has a dining/party room and small kitchen behind so I have stopped for now to rest my hands
I'll admit I'm a bit of a snob. I'm fascinated by the whole concept of the high-end private gentlemen's club, the sort that's all over Pall Mall, St. James and Piccadilly in London. All these rows of respectable Georgian townhouses. You know: "Clubland". So when I got "Get Together" -- oh, how long ago was that, now? -- the thing I wanted to do was to build something like that.
So I went to Magnolia Promenade, which is set up just right for it. (It's not as if I ever used the retail locations there, anyway.)
The building with the corner tower is the only remaining retail location, mainly because it's the only lot on Magnolia Promenade whose front isn't on the central boulevard. For the rest, well, it turns out that you can't leave these lots as "generic" if you want clubs to have their meetings there. So I've got a cafe, a karaoke bar, and a restaurant.
This is the situation:
Here's Clubland Coffee:
And here's Clubland Karaoke. The Clubland Cookhouse is basically the same idea, except with a back yard because its lot is deeper.
Here's what they're like upstairs:
(If you're wondering why some of these don't have front doors, it's to keep the premises off-limits until the club itself is actually formed and can take possession by locking the door to "everyone but this club". Otherwise, you get the karaoke bar mixologist tending the bar of the gaming club, for instance, and people sticking their noses everywhere.)
As you can see, the lots are divided into clubhouses, each nine squares wide, and the public establishments take up the ground floor of just one clubhouse per lot. This gives me eight clubhouses in Magnolia Promenade: three of them upstairs from a public establishment, four of them taking up the whole clubhouse and having a back yard, and one (the one beside the karaoke bar) taking up the whole clubhouse but not having a back yard.
As you can see, the fitness club next to the cafe is basically a gym; upstairs from there is a sort of lounge area where they can chum around, get a sports massage, and watch sports on TV. The music/party club is upstairs from the karaoke bar: the club room has their instruments, and they use the karaoke downstairs along with non-members of the club. The hi-tech club has the rocketship launchpad out back, and the two floors are full of computers and robot stations and the like; and the gaming club is two floors of games.
The club that looks like a Selvadoran museum was a mistake. I wanted to make an archaeology club, but there's not enough in the way of club activities to make it worthwhile.
So here's the problem.
I have four clubs, not including the archaeology club. I need eight, and I need them to be the sort of club that can justify having a clubhouse like this. I need two more clubs that only need one floor of social club space (one above the cafe, and one above the restaurant) and two more that can take advantage of the full clubhouse unit including the back yard. They should each have a few specific club activities to keep them interesting -- something that will make them actually use the space they've been given and the objects within. The archaeology club didn't work out because there wasn't enough for the club members to do in a meeting; likewise, a fishing or gardening club wouldn't work because there's nothing for them to do indoors.
Any suggestions?
An additional detail: each of these clubs will be headed by a vampire sim, because vampire sims don't die, which in turn means that their clubs won't die either. So yeah, I'll also have to make eight vampire sims to go with the eight exclusive private clubs.
(And if anyone's curious, the third storey of each clubhouse is basically bedrooms and bathrooms. Because what's the point of an exclusive gentlemen's club if you can't stay there when you're visiting the city?)
Your WIP is lovely @Xinqun Very nice layout and lovely furnishing of Clubland Coffee and Clubland Karaoke!
I have been thinking of clubs and have a few suggestions. There could be a baking/cooking club, a mixology club, painting club, photography club or a book club.
These are probably silly ideas! I will post them though in case it may help!
Thanks, @rosemow , and don't be so hard on yourself! Every suggestion is worth something! A cooking/mixology club might be worth testing -- I wonder what would happen to all the food they create....
This is what I created out of a shell challenge today after taking the roof off (allowed) and created a Middle Eastern house. Im not sure what I am doing so just doing it! Chall by #aquarterghost #aquarterghostinashell2
Your Middle Eastern home WIP is looking great! @luckyheather Very nice layout of the build! The two water fountain features and the pool area are very nice!
I hope your work on the build continues to go well
Your WIP is lovely! @wendyology Very nice exterior design and the navy colour looks very great! The flower box windows and patterned windows are pretty and go well with the blue colour.
Very lovely gnome home! @luckyheather Very pretty fantasy exterior design, grey stone texture, and pink roofing! It is a very great sims game version of the inspiration home!
Thank you @rosemow I saw the picture above and thought it was a great Fantasy building but I can only do a sim version but I hope it will turn out quite nice. I may get it done today if I can stop changing things Lol
Im finally getting around to building new houses in GlimmerBrook. Since Im stuck inside, Ive got 3 new houses built. The interiors have not been worked on, and lots of landscaping to do but I like how they're turning out right now.
Very lovely exterior design of each of your WIP homes! @InuMiroLover Very great roofing! The attached gazebo, balcony, windows used and the tower in the first build are lovely!
I hope your work on the builds continues to go well
Ok, so I've apparently been working on this house since October last year. Haven't played for several months, due to moving January 1st. Just been stuck in a rut with building since. I've done a couple smaller projects, though.
This is such a huge house (6-7 bedrooms/6 bathrooms), and its taking me forever to furnish. Its mostly done inside. "Only" landscaping, outdoor furniture and such left. Think I'll keep it simple, as usual, just to be done with it! But hey, at least the pool is done!
Your WIP is looking lovely! @Kathykins It is a very nice family home! Very great exterior design, layout and roofing! The roof covered front porch entry area is very nice.
Your family WIP is looking great! @Takissis Very nice exterior design! The roofing and dormers are very nice, and great garage! Very nice roof covered front porch! The interior layout is very nice.
Your Mushroom Cafe WIP is so very creatively designed ! @luckyheather Very great fairytale/fantasy style exterior of the buildings! The mushrooms are great! The flowers are pretty! Very nice lake with the gnome in the boat!
The build is looking great!

Hi.
Never posted here as I am not a builder.
But anyhow , I use a mod to let toddlers to spawn at parks (by Bienchen), and this is my attempt of family fun park.
ETA: Looks like Evie <delgato has some fun times in there
My love, my love, my fearless love, I will not say goodbye..
Sea may rise, sky may fall, My love will never die..
My heart, my heart, My drowning heart, Oh all the tears I've cried
Oh I may weep forevermore, My love will never die..
Your Family Fun Park is very great! @Ellupelluellu Very pretty and colourful play items and the multi coloured fencing is lovely! Toddlers will have fun playing in the tunnels, ball pit and slide! Kids will enjoy playing with the mushroom doll house, and pink teddy is cute there watching on! All sims will have fun on the water slippery slide! Very nice areas where Sims can enjoy playing chess or do painting on the easel in the nice sunshine. The string lights are pretty!
It is a very lovely Fun park! Evie does look like she is having fun there
