What is your favourite thing about the Sims 4?

Hello Everyone!
What is your favourite thing about the Sims 4? It could be a pack or even just a small detail or update!

My favourite thing about the Sims 4 is the CAS items in Discover Universities. The CAS in that pack looks like Custom Content and it is essential for my gameplay!

My favorite thing about TS4... That's hard, because TS4 is far from my favorite in general. But I think I'd have to say... CAS. But not the personality part, because just... no. I mean the dragging and pulling of body parts and face - that's really good.

@LiELF I don't have the Vampires game pack but it looks really good!

If you like Vampires, I definitely recommend it. I personally love to play with Occults and have fantastical elements in my game, and I've been into Vampires since I was young, so it's right up my alley. Plus, there's some gorgeous Victorian build/buy and gothy Victorian CAS styles that I use all the time. And Forgotten Hollow, even though it's a small neighborhood, is nice and dark and spooky. >:)

    Smooth movements and routing.
I used to curse a lot to my screen when sims took forever to move from one task to another or got stuck over nonsense. I still think they can work on the clipping through everything, but for now I like it far better than how previous games handled it.

The graphics. Everything looks gorgeous. I've always preferred the more cartoon style graphics of TS2 and TS4 over the T3S style graphics.

    Probably the visual aesthetic.

The fact that you can travel to each world in one save without mods. This is the only redeeming quality for me.

This is hard, because there is so much I do appreciate and enjoy, and I am excited most for content still new to me (I only just picked up Island Living on sale). But if I back out and look at my not-quite-a-year-yet of playing TS4, what I have appreciated most is Toddlers.

I am glad I waited to migrate from TS3 until they were included, because TS4 Toddlers are super engaging and I really enjoyed raising them.

Building. I never really paid attention to building until Sims 4, and now I'm actively trying to learn more to improve my builds.

The smooth animations and the freedom in cas concerning clothes and hairstyles (no age or gender restrictions). Also the routing is so much better than in TS3.

@Huiiie_07 I agree. I love the animations in the game and I love the clothes and hair in the game!

@LiELF Without vampires, I would've given up on the game long time ago. I almost did in fact.

To answer the question, Sims 4 is an excellent medium for storytelling.

I like that teenagers are the same height as YAs and that pregnant women don't have to wear ugly pregnancy clothes.

Favorite thing for me is definately Seasons, from actual seasons and weather to calendar which is someting that my game evolves around a lot with and it makes it interesting. I made my own custom calendar and its just awesome. I love that 😁

@Vanesa1118 I agree. Seasons adds so much to the gameplay. I love making little holidays for my Sims too!

The art style is the best it’s been with TS4, with the best looking sims, CAS is also the most versatile it’s been, minus the create a style feature obviously. But I honestly didn’t even buy or play TS3 because of the ”art style” (or lack of), so that’s a fair trade for me.

I think the semi open neighbourhoods were also a good trade off with the open world from TS3. Nice loading times and neighbourhood activity. It would be perfect if we could knock on the doors of the other houses without a loading screen though, wink wink Sims team ;)

I also love the slightly more far fetched elements and items like the giant microscope, the talking toilet, the cow plant, Strangerville.. I appreciate the cartoon/quirkiness of the sims reality, I just wish they leaned into it a little more with TS4..

    How TS4 sims look.
There are tons of little features that I like. I just wish they had put as much attention to traits and core game play.
Once I've played a new pack for a couple of weeks I am back to other games or The Sims 3.

Building/creating sims and toddlers I have more fun creating sims and their homes then any other sims games. I would say toddlers is the best so far as well

I like how expressive sims are. It shows very well when taking screenshots. Combine that with how good everything looks and how well you can customise them and it's just a screenshot heaven.
