    This thread will be for me to showcase my home builds as I build them. Some will be WIPs (Works in Progress) others will be completed. I will update this front page and the title as I update the thread.

    I have 15 homes either completed or in progress at this time. The following is a list with the newest first:

    All artwork has been moved to a new thread entitled Takissis's Balefire. This thread has been renamed Takissis's Freehold. CtD references for those that don't understand the names. No worries, my own warped and twisted mind. Anyway, since I recently redid all my art, I thought separating the threads was a good idea. You can find the new thread HERE.

      **Consolidating to save space**
      Willow Creek (Family Home)

      This was my first home from scratch. I played it for quite a while, so the garden if fully developed with perfect plants. There are a few more rooms besides the ones listed. I had to stop somewhere....

      My second house is just started. I managed to get most of the outside done and ran out of steam shortly into the interior. It is listed as Home 2 - Shell Only in my gallery without any of the rooms that are decorated so far.

      Oasis Starter - Shell Only

      This was created by request for my husband. I started on the interior and got the kitchen started before he told me he wanted to decorate himself. It is uploaded in my gallery as Oasis Starter.

      Vampire Gothic Manor - Another request from my husband. He wanted a home for his vampire. The limit on bathrooms was by his request, as he didn't need them, so there is only one. It has 3 bedrooms plus a crypt in the basement. It is accessed by a secret stairs in the back that leads to a sitting room. The door to the crypt can be locked so no one else can come in. There is also a small gravesite in the back.

      All paintings by reference are done by me.

      Blueprint Challenge March - Shell by @AlJay2000

      This was for the monthly challenge created by AlJay2000. I didn't follow it exactly. I changed the porch. It was the first challenge I entered. I'll do better next time. The porch is wrap around. In the backyard there is a large pool and greenhouse, as well as a back deck on the porch. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath. Paint by reference paintings by me.

      Not So Bargain Bend

      So the first lot I started on when I was first building this was Bargain Bend. I had in my mind I was building a starter home, but it seems I went a bit overboard. The final price is about 67k before lot price. Needless to say, that's a bit over the price range of a starter home.

      So its the Not So Bargain Bend home. This is my entry for the April Challenge by @BreeMiles. The challenge was to use her floorplan with unlimited gold, but basegame only. That is such a challenge for me. I like building with all packs. But I tackled it anyway.

      My inspiration on this was a small family, one parent and one teen girl. The parent loves flowers, but not so much growing them; shown by the tons of landscaping but no growing garden. She kind of just lets them grow wild and trims them down when they are encroaching over their boundaries. Her favorite color is green, and she uses it liberally in her decorating.

      The teen is just old enough to keep things neat, wear makeup, and rebel a little. However, she is still young enough to have an active imagination. She loves dragons, fairies and pretty much all things geeky. Her favorite color is purple and refuses to let mom decorate anything in her room.

      So that's the inspiration. On to the pictures. I couldn't limit myself on them, so I made a slideshow. I'll post a few here, then you can view the rest HERE if you'd like to see the rest.

      Note - The kitchen, dining room, entryway, and office nook are all in the same room. In order to upload the kitchen and living room into separate gallery rooms, I added walls to upload and take pictures, then tore them back down for the final entry.

      All paint by reference paintings within are adapted by me. Please tag #Takissis if you use any of the paintings or my rooms in your builds.

      Not So Bargain Bend is a lovely family home! :) It was great reading the background details that you write about the home and family. Very nice exterior design and the arch windows look great! The flowers are pretty! Very nice furnishing of each room! The flowers on dining, living room and study desk tables are very lovely! Very nice sofa and armchair sitting area to enjoy watching tv. The coat stand is a homely touch. The blue and yellow colour and bathroom floor tiling is very nice. Very nice study desk area for Sims to enjoy using the computer or reading books. Very nice bedrooms with the colour schemes reflecting the Sims’ favourite colors. Great study desk nook in the teens room and the shoes rack is a homely touch :)

      Purple Bunny Girls Room is a very lovely bunnies themed girls bedroom! :) Very pretty purple colour theme and lovely furnishings! Very nice purple butterflies wallpaper and the paw prints on the floor are a great touch! Purple bunny is very cute on the toy chest! The reading nook is great! It looks nice the way the wall divider separates it off. The butterflies are pretty on the wall. and the decorations around the very nice beaded curtains windows there and throughout the room are lovely! Purple Chompie and koala are cute on the bookcase! The flowers are pretty! Very great toys wall display area! The purple coloured toys on the shelving and the wall prints look great! Kids will have fun playing with the dollhouse and the purple bricks are great! Very pretty purple floral patterned door! The floral patterned mirror is very nice for kids to check their appearance in. Very pretty bedhead windows area! Sims will enjoy waking up to sunshine coming in through the windows. The mosaic bunny and butterflies pictures are very nice on the walls.
      It is a very pretty purple and bunnies themed bedroom! :)

      Entry for Rosemow's One Room One Week One Theme Challenge

      Theme for the week: a small study for a student studying at home

      Story: This has been our sort of fix band-aid in our household. My daughter is seven. She's been off school now for three weeks with three more to go at least. We don't exactly have a spare room to send her to for homework. Besides, she needs to use our computer to access the internet. So our solution was to move her into our computer room for the time being. This is a fairly good replica of the computer room for my husband and I. It is plastered with geeky posters and paintings (some are exactly the same as what I have on my wall currently). It is completely cluttered. Actually, ours is worse. Yes, there is a second door to a walk in closet there. Yes, it is completely blocked by a pile of books because we haven't needed anything out of that closet in three years. I really need to clean it out. Yes, there is a pile of toys in the middle of the room right now. My daughter was playing in here earlier and fell asleep before cleaning up. Yes, we own that many books. We are tabletop gamers (D&D) and own more books than we could possibly ever need.

      For homeschooling, we have her at my desk for the time being as mine is a little bigger. She sits next to me with her tablet and books and we go through her work packet. She will also sit with me to stream a movie when we find the time. Pretty much, for three weeks, we have lived out of this room leaving only to tend to basic necessities.

      Homeschooling Nightmares is a great study room for a child who needs to do home schooling in their parents crowded computer room! :) It is great that you based it on your family’s current living situation! It was great to read the background details! The design, layout and overcrowded furnishings look great! The many books on the luggage case, side wall tables.seating and bookcase top are great! The posters on the walls look great and it is special that some are the ones that you do have in your real life room! The patterned floor rug is very nice. Very nice computer desks area for your daughter to be next to your computer desk and enjoy sitting on the pink seat using her pretty pink laptop or tablet for her do her studies.Her pink school bag is nice. The drinks are a nice touch on the desk. The cards and files boxes are great on top of desk bookcase.It is great there is another study desk for your husband to use his computer in the room also. The toys are a nice homely touch in the middle of the room.
      The cluttered design of the study looks very great! :)
