I would like for it to be a Heroes & Villains pack. But they shouldn't be dictated by a life state like vampires, aliens, etc. Every sim should be able to become a hero or villain at any point in their life. Child heroes? Yes please. Teenage villains? Absolutely. I think it should be a mix of an active career and a reputation system similar to that in Parenthood or Get Famous, with a progression system similar to Vampires or Realm of Magic. You could create teams of heroes and villains using the Get Together group system. Along with a new world (preferably with many decent-sized lots), we could get two new lot types: Heroes HQ and Villains Lair. The heroes can go around stopping everything from petty crimes to world-affecting catastrophes. They could also bring in the detective system from Get to Work in order to have a mystery or whodunit element to it. And finally, there needs to be the option for the heroes to fail. A huge problem in TS4 is that everything comes so easily. There's no real effort required. Basically, this type of pack could easily tie several other packs into it. Whether it's a game pack or an expansion pack doesn't really matter to me. What matters is that it creates new gameplay opportunities and enhances or at least utilizes some of the things introduced previously.
Also, on a separate note, can they just do away with the idea of "vacation" worlds. We've only gotten two of them and we should just be able to live in Selvadorada or Granite Falls indefinitely if we want. I always forget those worlds exist because vacations are barely a thing in this game and I shouldn't have to download a mod for something as simple as that.
I agree with catloverplayer on the second part of a Showtime like Expansion pack. The new trailer with
the celebrities might be a glimpse into the direction that the team is going in.
So weird EA is so quiet about everything. And it’s almost like they take pride in it.
I personally have lost interest in the game lately. Also I’ve lost interest with expecting any news.
If it’s something that’s “crosspacky” or enhances overall gameplay, I’ll be excited again.
But if it’s just more one-off experiences like go to Uni or play a doctor a handful of times before losing interest, I personally won’t feel much enthusiasm.
I don't know about a Showtime type of pack since a lot of functionalities fitting for this type of pack came in different EP. Singing came in city living, DJing and dancing in Get together and the fame system in Get famous, what would the gameplay look like for those who do not own those packs?

I own those packs and yet i still wonder what there's to add on this (besides the ability to have a band, but that wouldn't need a whole themed gamepack...).
I also think the next EP might be Showtime. I personally would like for it to focus on a modeling career and circus performance, since Singing, DJing etc. are stuff we already have in the game like mentioned before. Bands would be a nice addition as well of course, then they could bring back drums and the cello.

But please don't let the horses walk around in the world.
There's been alot of ovious sutle hints that the new Gamepack will be Sims 4 Showtime with a Singing & Dancing Career.
Either this would go against their claim of having three completely original pack ideas, ot this means they will postpone said original ideas for after that pack. As far as I'm concerned, I'd love, in case you're right, that they don't forget about the ever so gracious acrobats!
I hope it's not Showtime because I didn't enjoy that at all in Sims 3. The Winter themed pack would suit me a little better even though I don't consider it a "must have."
I had a dream the other night they released a second Magic pack as an Expansion much to everyone's confusion that included Witches and Fairies. The witches part caused a lot of drama on the forums since we have Spellcasters already. I doubt this is actually the next theme but who knows I've had weirdly prophetic dreams before 🤷♀️

At this point I wouldn't put it past EA to force Maxis into doing that
I've seen a lot of players say the next EP will be Showtime, which was a flop in S3 I know, but I can see how it can be improved for a more fun experience, especially if combined with an amusement park theme.
Although - the main theme of the EP should be Freetime and Entertainment, while the performances will be part of it. This EP can feature things like Carnival Games, Casino, Arcade, Slow Dance, 🐸🐸🐸🐸 Matchmaker and Mrs. Crumplebottom!
At the moment, there is nothing interesting to do in your free time, especially outside the house. public places like bars and nightclubs are so empty and boring, and it makes me miss expansions like S2 Nightlife, when you can actually go out and have fun with your Sim and his friends.
Also, the last survey had questions about relationships and social interactions, and I think that's a great addition to the game.
You all saw the hint on the new patch, right? Those award lights... They all seen to link to previous expansion packs except one that says 'you travelled to the future and all you got was this lani award'. I don't want that to be the next expansion pack!
