Indeed. It is a fun concept art turned model without any playtesting, really. It has to be. Not only too many stairs that breaks pathfinding, but at least one set of stairs is actually bugged so they make your Sim reset and stop walking to class when you use it. At least 30% of the time you walk down them.
But yes, even without that it is simply awful design from a game play perspective and cannot have been playtested before release.
My Sim Mary McCoy, who I created for an entirely different purpose (she was made to help repopulate the Science Lab after the game stopped generating coworkers) I just loved her look so I played her life. She finally reached elder after her youngest son became an young adult. Pictures of her becoming leader of the Science Lab, pictures of her late husband she met on her Jungle Adventure. It was just a great picture like she was reminiscing about her life. 🥰💚
Wow! Interesting that your game stopped generating coworkers at the science lab. Mine created more when the originals passed on.
Yeah there was a point a few patches ago where my Sim would go to work at the science lab and literally no one else would be there, which of course meant that my Sim had co-worker job tasks to complete. On the days when it was something about tourists or aliens only those types of Sims would appear. So I created a new household of 4 Sims made them all join the career and placed them on a lot to mark them as played so the game wouldn't delete them.

You know I have never played Foxbury. I keep seeing these kinds of posts and it's totally off-putting. I'm sticking with Britechester.
It has a lot of stairs that causes sims to keep getting off the bikes, getting on the bikes, leaving the bikes in random places. It also has some horrendous camera issues when following sims around the campus. The camera will just bounce around all over the place. It's a real shame cause aesthetically it's favourite of the two universities but I won't let my sims live there anymore.
@DanmanNefarius It's no picnic for one's Global Superstar, either. My Sim has quite the entourage of Paparazzi, even at his dorm. They hang over his bed while he tries to get some sleep, and one in particular is always, always, ALWAYS, carping at him for an exclusive interview — even when the YA is asleep. (Maybe it's just Erik's waking dream? or should I say nightmare.) No need for me to worry over all the generated Sims. In fact I just upped them via MCCC. I don't like how empty the venues are whenever my star holds a concert. It spoils the effect of his Super-stardom.
Remy has to get into some trouble to complete his aspiration (Chief of Mischief). Out of all the Sims at the gym, something made me go right for Eliza Pancakes as his first victim.

I gave poor Babs hard time, making her to skill all day, finally I decided to reward her with luxury bath, only to see poor thing fall in sleep while in it
