Um, I have another question, sorry ^^' How do I get the link for my sim?? I tried going to the gallery in my browser but when I search under my name, only one sim comes up even though I've shared several.
I stayed up late to create a character because I thought we were writing stories about each other's sims which sounded really cool and fun, but now that I read the whole description, no offense, that sounds too complicated for me to keep up with. I'll probably wait until April to write something again.
Also, the hashtag is too long for the gallery, so the hashtag actually ends up being "monthlysimlitshortstorych."
TY for the heads up on the hashtag
Sorry that the challenge sounds complicated to you .. it should not be if we take it one step at a time.
I did know it would not be everyone's cup of tea. It will be a jump for those who only write their own stories in here .. but jumping is good exercise and the fresh thoughts can give a nice spark to our existant stories. This exercise goes a little bit more along with what I had hoped for when I started this. I have never tried to put other writer's limits on my stories and I look so forward to it.
I hope you will stick around for the fun and see what happens.

You can also just tell readers what your Origin ID and what your household name is. I've noticed that the browser version of the Gallery only has like half of most shared households.

I thought we'd write the backstory of our own created Sims in January, which another writer would use to write their story in February. So I got a little too excited and made a Sim who may not really be fit for this challenge. I can see her in a supporting character role, but not really an antagonist role (depending on other writers' Sims). I do want to keep her and the story I wrote for her as is, though - might be interesting to see what other writers do with her.
Don't forget as you tell your protagonist's story there can be other characters around them (spouse, friends, family, neighbors) your secondary and tertiary characters can add dimension and help with fleshing out your protagonist. They are background subjects (nearly props in your story)
For an example .. mine will have a deceased wife .. but she will appear in the back story and he will have neighbors and townsfolk that will briefly interact with him to help define him

Well you never know .. I had a few ideas after you told me a little bit about your character .. there are mesh points for my story .. I am certain others can find them as well

Awesome! Now that I think of it, I can totally see her as an antagonist! This should be really interesting...
@lisabee2 Yeah, that's what I did before posting here and it's only showing one of the sims I made lol So I'll just tag him and post my origin ID and the name like @divanthesimmer suggested!
I'll have it posted soon! Can't wait to see what kind of sims everyone chooses ^~^/
I guess I'm in the same boat with @QueenofMyshuno. While I've been reading stories and voting this past year, I didn't enter any stories myself. I'd made it a personal goal or resolution if you will, to make an effort to enter every month in 2020. The story collab sounds interesting, but entirely too complicated and stressful for me personally.
While I am disappointed, it's just my personal preference and not the fault of anyone else. The project sounds very interesting though and I'll enjoy reading all of your stories. I'll wait to see what theme is offered in April and perhaps enter a story at that time.
oh my goodness, this sounds hard but I will try my best to cook up something before the end of the month. My game's been on the fritz lately but I'm hoping to be able to find some time. I have a character idea but not a plot just yet...

you don't need a plot til next time when you pick your antagonist

I hope I can add some thoughts to maybe make this doable, if I can be so bold as to add my thoughts on how I am hoping to approch this.
I created a character based on something random that inspired me. Hopefully he will be of interest to use by someone else. I have an idea in my head of where his story will go, but like in real life since I don't know who he will run into next (aka - your character) I can't be sure where the story will take me.
Next month he will be where he is, but someone will come along. (I will choose a character from the submissions) and I will incorporate that into his story progression. But, keeping in mind that because I already have my guy where he is your character may show up in a very different way than your storyline.
The way I see it MY character will, like in real life, randomly encounter your character, and we will see how it develops. But each of our stories will be completely different. We will just get creative with someone else's character that inspires us.
I don't know if this is helpful, but it does remind me of something I did in my writers club. We did this - created a character, shared it with the group. Then we took one of their characters and had them meet our character and we wrote from there. Then we shared that and added yet another person's character to the mix.
She's not uploaded to the Gallery yet, but I will in the next few days!
Thank You Divan. I immediately started to fit her into my possible storyline as an atagonist, so this could work if I choose her. I really do hope we will have several others on board.
@AnnoyingTiger I almost missed yours. Oops. I will read it soon.

I haven't been posting in so long, I totally forgot how to add images not just to my signature but anywhere else as well, please help
Hi. Do you mean on the forums? You first need to upload your images on an image hosting site, like Imgur. Then you copy the link to your image on Imgur, for example. Then you add the image on the forums by pasting the link where it says "Image URL". Hope that helps.

Yep I can see that one coming too
Loving Todd .. I can already see I am going to have issues in where to go with the stories .. so many fun possibilities already.

Meet Todd in this short and purposely vague introduction. Read it HERE at The Simaginarium
He is ready to be molded into your storyline as you may see fit. No CC version is in the gallery HERE and can be searched as Castaway Todd
Thanks for sharing this so soon. It is sparking my imagination and hopefully will inspire more to join us.
Thanks for sharing Todd. He seems like a fun and interesting character!
