My sims are living in left-hand neighborhood on Sulani so I just probably haven't spent enough time in that area. Don't worry, Diego will have an active afterlife once I get around to creating my haunted household.

@Becka28 Usually the notifications I don't get are the ones that leave out an e, or have a lowercase d. But your previous comment was spelled perfectly and I don't know why I didn't get the notification. But yes, in this thread it's not so bad because I check it regularly.
I think I once read in a thread about a mod to stop the camera jumping in general (like off the buildings in San Myshuno which used to drive me crazy). Maybe that would help you? Assuming you use mods and can find that one from such a vague reference.

Oh, and the hotel lot that I used for the retirement home is the Kailua-Kona Hotel. There was a restaurant in what is now the common area, but the decor and the pool area that you see in the picture are the original. All I did was remove most of the tables, add more activities in their place, and replace the restaurant kitchen appliances with domestic ones.

Okay, so Lucas and Holly's wedding pictures are inside the spoiler.
It was an outdoor setting so of course it rained. They got married in a wedding barn in Brindleton Bay. Holly has embraced the country girl aesthetic, despite growing up in San Myshuno.
I think she's pretty proud of finally getting him hooked!
There was an indoor reception area but half the guests preferred to sit outside with umbrellas.
So, for those who may not have been following long enough to have seen all of the extended family before... the bottom picture from left to right is Erick Andreas (Athena and Khaled's son), Charlotte Munch-Andreas (Wolfgang and Cordelia's daughter), Athena (still in her own wedding dress, oops), Holly, Derrick Andreas (Erick's twin), and Cordelia Munch-Andreas (Athena and Arthur's daughter). Up above you also have Cordelia's twin sister Amelia in the pink, Alexander Goth (husband of Holly's twin Ivy) beside Derrick on the front bench, and Geeta Rasoya (Athena's current wife) on the back bench.
Lucas even opted to take the cake slice outside. They had honey cake, to celebrate the fact that Holly's bees are making honey.
Apparently if there's a dance floor sims will dance even with no music. Or do situps, if they're Ivy.

The family is a little weird at this point, because Lucas's brother is married to Holly's half sister (Wolfgang and Cordelia), and two of Holly's half-brothers are Lucas's stepbrothers (because Khaled married Mila after he broke up with Athena).
Finnian and Gillian did not attend because I had the choice between Lucas inviting all of his family and all of Holly's siblings but those two, or Holly inviting all of her family but not most of his. Plus Lucas could invite the mutual niece and nephews because he goes to visit Wolfgang's family practically every day when I'm playing their household.
Ivy is at Lucas and Holly's house every day also. It's a bit like a sitcom, really.
Oh, did you know that a sim could fall asleep from watching a boring movie? Holly did just that while her sisters were visiting.
Yes her winter wear is a little over the top. She is Father Winter's daughter after all.
And not long after the wedding, Holly woke Lucas up for a big announcement!
And then she also told the Flower Bunny. I guess so he can pass the word to Father Winter.

I'm not crazy about the materialistic trait myself. I often change it on Sims I play regularly.
I don't use any mods in my game, I'm too afraid of corrupting my save, and/or crashing my computer. 😅
But the mod does sound fun! As I've said, if there was a foolproof one that made townies dress and look appropriate, and stopped toddlers and kids from dumping paint everywhere, I just might go for it anyway, despite my fears 😂
I think it will be great if you put up links in your posts, and I think you should probably put them at the beginning, so people can look back to remind themselves about what's going on if they are already following the story. Or read it from the start if they are new. 😊
I totally get you about written comments. They are very nice to get, and I love that there are several people who try to comment on everyone's updates here.
I can tell you a secret too. With the new notification system I sometimes don't go through the thread, but I will answer mentions in my notifications. (I only do that when I'm in a really big hurry though, because notifications are so spotty now) Anyway, if the comments to me are written on the same post with the person's update I can easily respond to their story as well, because it's right there.
So the more comments and mentions that you make about other people's stories, the more people will see your update!
There are posters who almost never respond with comments on your story, despite you commenting on theirs. I believe that is mainly because some of them are super super busy. And I can understand that.
But I still think it's a good way to get conversations going.

I have always wanted to be a published author as well. I'm definitely not posting my best work here on the forum. 😅 It's just for fun here, especially because so many people want pictures to tell the stories. It's much faster to get through the thread with the whole "a picture is worth a thousand words" idea in mind. I like those stories myself. 😊

@AlwaysAsking Mostly I plan to continue with the parents of other young premades, as the children marry into whatever generation.
But aside from Akira, yes all the fathers and in-laws either live with their children or in the retirement village right now.
I have plans to marry Olivia Spencer-Kim-Lewis into the next generation, so I'll be adding her grandparents to the retirement village soon and later her parents. Siobhan might move in there rather than live with Morgan forever, but that depends on whether she meets someone else after Gerardo passes. Also if they can earn the points, they can each have up to three potions of youth just like the elders in my family households, making them live to just over 100 if they take all three, so some of them may be around a while.
And eventually, the Sigworth and Bjergsen parents will move in there when their children marry into one of my families. And the Landgraabs. And the Bheedas, who have a baby girl. And I'll probably do like I did with the Heckings for the Pancakes, and create a child who will marry in. Whether they move in with that child or go to the retirement village will be determined when the time comes.
And if it starts to look like the household might become empty before someone moves in, I can cheat and not play it for a rotation or two so they don't age until the next residents are ready to move in.
That sim does look like the one on the tv. Makes you wonder.

Events the last days changed Munch familytree forever. Hunter, Iselin & Janelle became children and I gave birth to baby Kenneth and baby Liana into our family.

A lot of people posted about color of the year 2020 on Instagram. The color i classic blue. So I decided to dress up in blue clothes.
A fire started in the kids room while Gunther & I were at work. So happy Mila was there to extinguish the fire.
Mila brought Iselin, Hunter & Janelle to beach to cheer them up.
We knew this day would come. But hoped it wouldn't come this soon. My mother in law Mila died while she took a nap. Everyone in the family are very sad because we lost a dear family member. It is heartbreaking to see my husband Gunther so sad. This brings back memories about when my parents Penny Pizzazz & Adam Vera Le Chien died.
Kenneth & Liana became toddlers today. So Gunther & I brought them to the beach, while the other kids were at school.

@LehmanLegacy Wow, getting a probation after forgetting about a final must be tragic. I guess that's why we have to make sure our Sims get to classes on time, especially during the finals period. So far, my Sim was late to class two times. One time because he overslept and another time was because he was doing something and I forgot to cancel it out.
@AlwaysAsking Yup, there are new careers that come with DU, which are the law, education, and engineer careers. The research and debate skill is useful for the law and education. According to the guides for DU, the requirements ask for the Sim to reach a certain level of that skill to be promoted in those careers.

It is sort of interesting but they are always so busy I was sure they rocked all their classes. We'll have to see of studying more makes a difference. They moved out of the dorm to be with one another and ar more alone than ever.

All the sims err'day
My heir, Roslynn, whose been orphaned and lives in the Orphanage was once again woken up in the middle of the night to the monster under her bed. She tried to make friends with it for maybe the fourth night in a row, but it does not want to be her friend no matter how kindly she speaks with it.
She later invited over a friend to the Orphanage to play. However, he showed up in a bad mood. Despite pestering him, all I could make out was that he was probably being bullied at school? So, good-girl Roslynn tried to cheer him up by spending all day telling him jokes, making silly faces, and later pushing him on the swings out back without even taking a turn for herself.
But it didn't last for very long... He still went home sad.
The kids spent the rest of the weekend focusing on their unfinished schoolwork, with a little helpful supervision from Auntie.
So as a reward, I wanted Auntie to take them out, but I realized I didn't have many family-friendly community lots. So, I spent most of my playtime making a movie theater for them to enjoy
BEHOLD!
So, I finally had her take the kids out for the night for being so well behaved throughout the last week. I think they had fun, but it got late and they ended up staying out way past their bedtime. Everyone went straight to bed when they got home!
Alas... Roslynn was woken up again in the middle of the night...
But this time it wasn't the monster. It was her little sister, who'd wandered up the stairs and seems to be having trouble sleeping herself. Who knows maybe the monster is visiting her, too?
Roslynn spent the rest of the night into the wee hours of the morning cheering her little sister up.
Man, school is gonna be ROUGH this week...

The Debate Guild held its Debate Practice event and he stayed to watch the debate.

Those three then talked about their plans after graduation. Blake intends to get a career as a Computer Engineer. By the way, I noticed that photographs can be placed on a table, turning it into a standing photo. I did that with Blake's recent picture with Florian.
Something unprecedented happened in my game, today. As part of the storyline I was developing, I had Gaston go on a "spirit journey" by calling a shaman and drinking a beverage that is part of folk medicine/religious experiences in some places, and he went on a trip and came back better for it...but I was checking his relationships, and was surprised to see a baby in there, and apparently he had a daughter by Mrs. Bjergsen. I can't even remember her name I deal with her so little, but she's the mom of Sophia and ...Elsa I think.
So that's so like him. But the weird thing was, his daughter Rose, that he had with Lilith, was nowhere to be seen! I then played the Vatore household so I could check Rose's family tree personally, and found that Gaston was wiped from her record! She had no father at all. She had Lilith as a mother, but as if she had been made in CAS with only Lilith as a mother. No dad.

@LehmanLegacy Lucas has a habit of looking right at the camera like he sees me sometimes. Which is disconcerting, but not as weird as Ivy waving at me in this shot from today.
@Becka28 Usually the notifications I don't get are the ones that leave out an e, or have a lowercase d. But your previous comment was spelled perfectly and I don't know why I didn't get the notification. But yes, in this thread it's not so bad because I check it regularly.
I think I once read in a thread about a mod to stop the camera jumping in general (like off the buildings in San Myshuno which used to drive me crazy). Maybe that would help you? Assuming you use mods and can find that one from such a vague reference.

Oh, and the hotel lot that I used for the retirement home is the Kailua-Kona Hotel. There was a restaurant in what is now the common area, but the decor and the pool area that you see in the picture are the original. All I did was remove most of the tables, add more activities in their place, and replace the restaurant kitchen appliances with domestic ones.

I think she's pretty proud of finally getting him hooked!
There was an indoor reception area but half the guests preferred to sit outside with umbrellas.
So, for those who may not have been following long enough to have seen all of the extended family before... the bottom picture from left to right is Erick Andreas (Athena and Khaled's son), Charlotte Munch-Andreas (Wolfgang and Cordelia's daughter), Athena (still in her own wedding dress, oops), Holly, Derrick Andreas (Erick's twin), and Cordelia Munch-Andreas (Athena and Arthur's daughter). Up above you also have Cordelia's twin sister Amelia in the pink, Alexander Goth (husband of Holly's twin Ivy) beside Derrick on the front bench, and Geeta Rasoya (Athena's current wife) on the back bench.
Lucas even opted to take the cake slice outside. They had honey cake, to celebrate the fact that Holly's bees are making honey.

The family is a little weird at this point, because Lucas's brother is married to Holly's half sister (Wolfgang and Cordelia), and two of Holly's half-brothers are Lucas's stepbrothers (because Khaled married Mila after he broke up with Athena).
Finnian and Gillian did not attend because I had the choice between Lucas inviting all of his family and all of Holly's siblings but those two, or Holly inviting all of her family but not most of his. Plus Lucas could invite the mutual niece and nephews because he goes to visit Wolfgang's family practically every day when I'm playing their household.
Ivy is at Lucas and Holly's house every day also. It's a bit like a sitcom, really.
Oh, did you know that a sim could fall asleep from watching a boring movie? Holly did just that while her sisters were visiting.
Yes her winter wear is a little over the top. She is Father Winter's daughter after all.
And not long after the wedding, Holly woke Lucas up for a big announcement!

I'm not crazy about the materialistic trait myself. I often change it on Sims I play regularly.
I don't use any mods in my game, I'm too afraid of corrupting my save, and/or crashing my computer. 😅
But the mod does sound fun! As I've said, if there was a foolproof one that made townies dress and look appropriate, and stopped toddlers and kids from dumping paint everywhere, I just might go for it anyway, despite my fears 😂
I think it will be great if you put up links in your posts, and I think you should probably put them at the beginning, so people can look back to remind themselves about what's going on if they are already following the story. Or read it from the start if they are new. 😊
I totally get you about written comments. They are very nice to get, and I love that there are several people who try to comment on everyone's updates here.
I can tell you a secret too. With the new notification system I sometimes don't go through the thread, but I will answer mentions in my notifications. (I only do that when I'm in a really big hurry though, because notifications are so spotty now) Anyway, if the comments to me are written on the same post with the person's update I can easily respond to their story as well, because it's right there.
So the more comments and mentions that you make about other people's stories, the more people will see your update!
There are posters who almost never respond with comments on your story, despite you commenting on theirs. I believe that is mainly because some of them are super super busy. And I can understand that.
But I still think it's a good way to get conversations going.
I didn't really comment enough about your last update, I got off on a tangent about something, lol. I'll have to go back and look for it again. 😊
I have always wanted to be a published author as well. I'm definitely not posting my best work here on the forum. 😅 It's just for fun here, especially because so many people want pictures to tell the stories. It's much faster to get through the thread with the whole "a picture is worth a thousand words" idea in mind. I like those stories myself. 😊

W is not good friends with Morgan either, yes they belong to that club, but I never visited the lot the club is gathering. As with my old and hubby's old computer, those multistory lots at Windenburg lagged my game a lot. W is actually best buddies with Ted, he was in that one gym clubs of Ted's from while back at the start of the save, when he still was a teen. But aside from Akira, yes all the fathers and in-laws either live with their children or in the retirement village right now.
I have plans to marry Olivia Spencer-Kim-Lewis into the next generation, so I'll be adding her grandparents to the retirement village soon and later her parents. Siobhan might move in there rather than live with Morgan forever, but that depends on whether she meets someone else after Gerardo passes. Also if they can earn the points, they can each have up to three potions of youth just like the elders in my family households, making them live to just over 100 if they take all three, so some of them may be around a while.
And eventually, the Sigworth and Bjergsen parents will move in there when their children marry into one of my families. And the Landgraabs. And the Bheedas, who have a baby girl. And I'll probably do like I did with the Heckings for the Pancakes, and create a child who will marry in. Whether they move in with that child or go to the retirement village will be determined when the time comes.
And if it starts to look like the household might become empty before someone moves in, I can cheat and not play it for a rotation or two so they don't age until the next residents are ready to move in.
That sim does look like the one on the tv. Makes you wonder.

Events the last days changed Munch familytree forever. Hunter, Iselin & Janelle became children and I gave birth to baby Kenneth and baby Liana into our family.

A lot of people posted about color of the year 2020 on Instagram. The color i classic blue. So I decided to dress up in blue clothes.
A fire started in the kids room while Gunther & I were at work. So happy Mila was there to extinguish the fire.
Mila brought Iselin, Hunter & Janelle to beach to cheer them up.
We knew this day would come. But hoped it wouldn't come this soon. My mother in law Mila died while she took a nap. Everyone in the family are very sad because we lost a dear family member. It is heartbreaking to see my husband Gunther so sad. This brings back memories about when my parents Penny Pizzazz & Adam Vera Le Chien died.
Kenneth & Liana became toddlers today. So Gunther & I brought them to the beach, while the other kids were at school.

@AlwaysAsking Yup, there are new careers that come with DU, which are the law, education, and engineer careers. The research and debate skill is useful for the law and education. According to the guides for DU, the requirements ask for the Sim to reach a certain level of that skill to be promoted in those careers.

They make some pair that way its funny to imagine Don rejecting people I think I have had him do that....or no that was Bob who he got close to while being his personal trainer. It is sort of interesting but they are always so busy I was sure they rocked all their classes. We'll have to see of studying more makes a difference. They moved out of the dorm to be with one another and ar more alone than ever.

All the sims err'day
My heir, Roslynn, whose been orphaned and lives in the Orphanage was once again woken up in the middle of the night to the monster under her bed. She tried to make friends with it for maybe the fourth night in a row, but it does not want to be her friend no matter how kindly she speaks with it.
She later invited over a friend to the Orphanage to play. However, he showed up in a bad mood. Despite pestering him, all I could make out was that he was probably being bullied at school? So, good-girl Roslynn tried to cheer him up by spending all day telling him jokes, making silly faces, and later pushing him on the swings out back without even taking a turn for herself.
But it didn't last for very long... He still went home sad.
The kids spent the rest of the weekend focusing on their unfinished schoolwork, with a little helpful supervision from Auntie.
So as a reward, I wanted Auntie to take them out, but I realized I didn't have many family-friendly community lots. So, I spent most of my playtime making a movie theater for them to enjoy

So, I finally had her take the kids out for the night for being so well behaved throughout the last week. I think they had fun, but it got late and they ended up staying out way past their bedtime. Everyone went straight to bed when they got home!
Alas... Roslynn was woken up again in the middle of the night...
But this time it wasn't the monster. It was her little sister, who'd wandered up the stairs and seems to be having trouble sleeping herself. Who knows maybe the monster is visiting her, too?
Roslynn spent the rest of the night into the wee hours of the morning cheering her little sister up.
Man, school is gonna be ROUGH this week...

I then played the Vatore household so I could check Rose's family tree personally, and found that Gaston was wiped from her record! She had no father at all. She had Lilith as a mother, but as if she had been made in CAS with only Lilith as a mother. No dad.
Never saw anything like that before. Was wondering if the beverage he consumed that took him on a life-changing journey could actually delete his paternity like that, but if so, why only Rose, and not Lakshmi Bjergsen? Maybe Lakshmi was born after the journey?
It's weird. I know he was completely ambivalent about the way he became a father in the first place, but the story I had intended to continue, had him doing his best to be an involved father anyway. Now he's just some stranger. Odd.

Update on Pretty Little Liars Legacy Charlotte + Tane (Generation 7)
That's Mike as a toddler.
This is our current "heir cat" His name is Poptart. (male)
This is a female kitten we adopted named Penny.
Charlotte had her third baby named Samara. (Naming theme is Pretty Little Liars in case you didn't know) The character Samara was a minor character that I think dated Emily for a little bit.
This is our cat Penny as an adult cat.
Not the best looking cat but whatever we still love her.
Birthday time.
Charlotte went from young adult to adult.
The oldest son, Noel, aged into a child.
Noel was a character in the show that was kind of a bad guy... but don't worry Noel in the show got what's coming to him. (ya'll should watch the show if you haven't already. It's great!)
Then Samara became a toddler. I really like her so far. As of now she's probably my top pick for heir.
See all that gardening? Charlotte has the freelance botanist aspiration and she completed it!
It started out pretty well with the two playing around on the swings and getting to know each other a bit better
Afterwards Dre gave Camila the portrait of her that he had painted and she loved it!
Then he serenaded her with a love song he wrote specifically for this occasion
The song was so beautiful that a small crowd formed to hear him play
After finishing the song, expressed exactly how he felt about her and lucky for him, Camila felt the exact same way
So he took a chance, went in for the kiss and she loved it!
Dre asked Camila to be his girlfriend and she said yes
