Do you have a favorite community lot in your game? I have quite a few actually, but my absolute favorite is the cemetery. I know that sounds weird but I love how pretty the lot is and seeing my simmies interact with the items there
@carlystur03 I love the festival lots! I don't have any in the town at the moment but I miss having all of those fun activities that the festivals always offer.
Yep. The library is great if you want to do some skill-building, especially for toddlers as you can take all of the toddler books there and you'll go through them very quickly if you want your toddlers to have all of those skills go to level 3 or 4 for when they get to child age and older.

That the one the fairy girl is buried at, right?
I build all my lots myself after telling myself for years thay I hated building. Apparently I dont actually hate it lol.
My favourite is probably the library or the arcade. I hope I dont forget to add photos to the thread later.

Yep, that's where she's buried. I both love and hate building because I can be too picky when I make lots. It annoys me xD
The library is always a great place to send simmies! I love how much more quickly they learn there.
Here are mine arcade and library. Another one I really like is the festival grounds in fall.
I really like to work with lighting in my game. And do you see that purple flame on top of the fountain in the library? Fog emitter, together with mod called Decorator's Best Friend. It allows you to move things around without OMSP.
There is no one community lot that I use all the time but there are several I use in certain situations.
The library at University, that I have edited by swapping in 2 skill bookshelves.
Sims can raise their grade point average by going to class, studying, working with their major study's gadget or leveling up in the skill(s) associated with their major. Since I like my sim to raise their skill levels anyway I usually only send my sims to classes on Mondays, and Wednesdays and of course to take the tests on Friday. I never send them to the class in the commons and the only other Tues - Thurs class I send them to is the outdoor art session for art majors if it's not snowing or raining. On those days, and any other times I want them to raise their grades or level a skill, I send most of my sims to the library. Athletic sims I just have them pump iron in their dorm.
The beach, especially in tropical worlds. There is so much to do there - fish, swim, play in the sand, soak up the sun, wind surf, go boating, etc
The town's central park, whether there is a festival at the time or not. There are many activities and it's a great place to meet other sims.
All my towns have a "Miki's Master Karaoke". Sometimes I remove the showtime stage and add some musical instruments. I have a 30x30 version of this lot that fits most worlds.
Secondly, Festival Lots just like carlystur. Fall and Summer are my favorites. I like playing soccer and the soccer net is usually added to the summer version.
If I could choose a third, some libraries. I always have sims hanging out there whether to read books or use the computer.
I, too, love the beach. I add the carousel and few other touches -like the all in one bathrooms - and it's a perfect day out for my sims. I also like the bowling alley.
My faves are always the public pool, gym, festival lots, the "clubs/pubs", and the parks when there are live shows, oh and the mystical consignment shop, forgetting the right name for it, but love sending ALL my Sims there. Esther they are occult or not. Play a little game with myself, by letting them eat a jelly bean to see what happens, haha.
Gah, forgot to mention I love the butterfly dome place in Bridgeport too! And the one archery lot too. Where your sims can not only do archery, but play with the violin.
Sunset Valley: Central Park
Moonlight Falls: Vault of Antiquity/Elixir Store
Starlight Shores: The Beach
Twinbrook: I have yet to fully explore Twinbrook
Bridgeport: Again, yet to fully explore Bridgeport
Appaloosa Plain: Haven't played in Appaloosa Plains yet
Riverview: Haven't played in Riverview yet.
It's very rare my Sims go out into town, but when I make a start on The Oakley Legacy then I will allow my Sims to go out into town more. This is all the Worlds I currently own
And of course I periodically play in Riverview too. https://youtu.be/8CE8mMEraMY
And it makes for great fun to toss rocks around too. Debug Enabler and Disasters and Blessings mod are great.
Always "River McIrish" ...and maybe some Bebe Hart. ~innocent expression~

I'm saddened by the fact that you haven't played Riverview yet... lol That's my favorite world! Honestly, it seems to be among the most stable worlds in the game (aside from Sunset Valley). Plus, it has a decent amount of space to place *almost* every venue type without making it look horrific, but I've just been building my own and just replace all the lots! lol
I generally like dance clubs, disco clubs, parks, hangouts, and the festival grounds! Pretty much any of the entertainment venues... also, the consignment and elixir stores as well! Especially when I'm seeking the hidden content (like music boxes, potions, etc).
When 'Late Night' was originally released, I used to be obsessed with 'The Brightmore' (disco club). I would frequently visit it! At one point, my Sim ended up marrying the bouncer... lol
However, it wasn't until recently when I started to realize how broken and ugly many of the pre-made venues actually are! lol I think that's mostly just because I never wanted to put the effort into actually remodeling them or building my own... but I just couldn't deal with them anymore! lol So, I recently started building my own venues... it's a lot of work, but also really fun!
The Public Pizzeria from Monte Vista. I saved one that I redid to make it a casino/arcade as well and I set it in every world I play in. I also love the the Skylight Studio For The Performing Arts and the Prism Art Studio, too!
I'm having a difficult time coming up with an off the wall answer for this one, given that Graveyards were already accounted for in the original post. Somehow it seems like showcasing a Graveyard now with ferris wheels, ice cream stands, bistros, and a video arcade might be a bit disappointing.
Igazor, you don't really have a Graveyard with those things in it in any of your worlds.
Does anyone know how to get the voices inside one's head to just shaddup already?
Okay, but seriously first choice would have to be a combination java hut/bakery. Every world I play has at least one of those, some have two and many have similar service areas on other lots such as in the lobby of an open cinema or upstairs from the bowling lanes. Honestly, my sims can make the coffee/tea beverages just as well at home, some can do just as well for the baked goods if they have the correct kind of oven while others maybe not so much. But these lots are always so popular among the towns' other residents that it's usually very easy to meet up with old friends and make new ones (or enemies, if one prefers) without really trying or having to plan everything.
Second choice would be a bowling alley. Again there is one of these in some form or other in every world I play and I have NRaas Retuner set to allow up to four sims to bowl together on the same lane, thus all competing against each other. There just aren't enough larger group activities to be had in this game, so I pounced on this idea years ago when I saw another NRaas member mentioning it.
The Skylight Studio as @StephSteb mentions is another good choice, though not all of the sims I play are as interested in such physical activities. But it's still always a popular place with the locals.

@cwaddell I'm the same, actually. The library, the park and the beach are the main lots I sent my sims to (other than the cemetery lol).

im hesitant to take my sims to beaches and pools as the first time i did one of them drowned ... ironically the most athletic one too lol
Always so nice to cause a cataclysm -~Evil_Haruo.
