Would you like a Gambling stuff pack/game pack similar to Lucky Palms?

I actually would really like a carnival pack in general instead. Sims Vacation was so fun for the whole family. Plus the arcade is a form of gambling anyways. Gambling stuff pack wouldn't feel very different from what Sims could do already plus Luxury Party pack feels like it already fit the style of outfits for it anyways. Carnival pack would have a more varied style of decorating and outfits and offer better game play with roller coasters and rides and food. Bigger options for makeup as well and hair styles and accessories with a carnival pack.

Omg, the casinos that came with Lucky Palms were great but most of mine were from the community, some really great places. Casinos, like above were places that your sim could go to perform, bands could play there and of course there were the one armed bandits, loved them! The 21 tables were really fun too. I would love to have a Sims 4 version of casinos, even if it didn't have a neighborhood to go with it. :)

The stuff pack (or game pack) would be a perfect chance to reintroduce the lucky and unlucky traits to the game. o:)

The casinos in Sims3 weren't just about gambling and drinking. They were venues where bands, comedians, magicians and singers could perform, and your celebrity Sims were sent there to complete certain 'gigs' and be paid for it. And there was a new gambling skill for your Sims. I believe the highest payout on a slot machine was 5000 Simoleans with a hundred Simoleans bet. And playing blackjack and poker was a lot more difficult and the payouts were very low in comparison to like painting a masterpiece. Leveling up skills in Sims2 and 3 was hard, so it took a long time for any Sim to become a pro at gambling. It was something my Sims did for entertainment, never as a lifestyle. A casino could have a restaurant, a bowling alley, dance floor, bar, karaoke stage, along with a couple of slot machines to make the place seem as if it were a casino, rather than a multi-use venue. The decor assets were flashy and definitely screamed Vegas, but they made for some very interesting builds. The Lucky Palms world was one of the best worlds made for Sims3. It is stunning. But if the Sims4 teams tried to recreate the experience I have had with Lucky Palms, I don't think they could come even close. We don't yet have the ability to create a band in Sims4 after five years of waiting, so that doesn't instill much confidence in the devs' ability to recreate the Lucky Palms experience for Sims4. There would be so much missing, it wouldn't be the same. If they do a gambling style pack well enough, I would buy it though. Just so my Sims could have something new to do.

When you describe it like this, it actually sounds fun. I'm up for it 🤗🤗🤗🤗

I'm not sure. If they made a pack for casinos and gambling I would probably buy it and play it but at the same time I can think of better more worth while things that they could add to the game instead.

A pack like this would be great had they not nerfed community lots limiting the activities that can be done on them. Would be great to have a casino with a restaurant and bar also the ability to have bands play there if we ever get them at this point you would have to hope the club system would even give you a portion of this game play.

Gambling just conceptually doesn't appeal to me at all, so no. Subjective boundaries and all. I can see how this sort of thing would appeal to others though, so if we get something like it I would just not buy it myself, as simple as that.

In terms of what @Paigeisin5 said though, besides what we can already do with venues, it does sound more appealing to me that way, but I don't think we would get so much more variety outside of gambling in this iteration of the game. What appeals to me, such new and different kinds of performance careers I'd much rather see in a showtime-esque pack than thrown in on the side of a gambling focused pack.

I'd love it if the odds were greatly against the player, just like how it is with gambling IRL. I want more ways for my sims to go broke in this game.

@sinra I know what you mean about the limitations we have in Sims4 when it comes to venue lots and how they're set up. The gurus are very fond of telling us how much exciting new content they are working on, and how wonderful it will be in 2020 when some of that content is released. But I have my doubts about that new content and how much of it will actually bring some life back into the game. These days, playing Sims3 is far more entertaining than Sims4 has become. I love the build mode and art style of Sims4, but it doesn't feel as alive as Sims2 and 3 did. Sims3 had it's problems which required using mods to fix, but it never lacked gameplay. We had much more control over our games in past iterations, and the fact we can't form bands or create multi-use venues five years into Sims4, is just sad.

I didn't play with Lucky Palms but a gambling pack sounds great to me. There is stuff I'd want more but would be happy to see it. Could give a very nice vacation flair for some of my sims ... a way to build a great place for all sorts of characters to hang out or just a fun pastime for other sims. More stuff = more stories! I'm in!

Yeah, I'd really like to see some ability to tweak venues somehow. Perhaps similarly to how we can set club activities in GT? Granted I'd like the chosen activities to be encouraged, not something sims follow like brainless clockwork.

As things are now, what's stopping us from putting bowling alleys, pools, and other "unrelated" activities inside nightclubs? Nothing, but if the venue is set to be a nightclub, sims don't really take the opportunity to use features outside the bar, dance floor etc. I made an extravagant nightclub once, and had to practically force npcs to engage with activities on the lot that the game hasn't flagged as nightclub specific. Very few engaged with the stuff autonomously.

Yet another pack focused entirely on YAs? No thanks.
I just want things to match. :'(

But only if you are able to have the poker tables and whatnot on your Sims' lot and that they function. I was grossly disappointed last go-around as nothing worked when I got it onto the desired lot.

I could be interested in this. I could also go for more of a Monte Carlo style. I actually think Luxury Party would integrate better if more crossover activities are added such as casinos and art galas.

As for the idea of it being YA-centric, I don't think so. Casinos are pretty multi-generational and often skew toward the elderly.

I just generally want more to do. The appeal of casinos is of adding more randomness. We have the wishing well already but I'd like more ways to have surprises even though I also like directing my own game.

No, also with the recent controversies with the casino like things in games, doubt it will ever happen, and if it does, there is gonna be some backlash.

I chose no, but its more of a maybe. Ive never played Lucky Palms so i dont know how it is... but im more interested in a lot of other features to be added on the game first. I dont think it would be a pack that i would buy instantly.

I'd love for them to bring back casinos, but the game is so censored these days they might be deemed too controversial. 🙄

Just last night I bulldozed all the lots of Oasis Springs and realised it's actually quite a nice world. A casino would look great there ala TS3 Lucky Palms.

It's not something I'd be personally interested in when it comes to gameplay but it's a "maybe" from me on the possible BB and CAS. It's definitely more of a GP theme than something that could be squeezed into an SP.

I’d like more group game activities in the first place. So my vote is definitely a big fat yes.

    - Pool tables.
    - Poker tables.
    - Craps
    - Blackjack
    - Roulette
    - Slots

This shouldn’t be too much of a big deal for EA to implement since they do encourage a method of actual gambling... ahem... loot boxes.

I'm not interested in it really and it sounds like another pack just for young adults but I don't want to vote no as enough people want it that I hope it gets added for them. Besides if the cas and Bb was good I'd maybe buy it anyways
