I never had that world in TS3 but I think it would have been somewhat fun. It would give sims more to do. The first thought that came to mind was an elder spending their weekends playing the slot machines.
I not only miss the casino, but I also miss the Mid-Century build/buy items that came with it.
"That person who helps others simply because it should or must be done, and because it is the right thing to do, is indeed without a doubt, a real superhero." - Stan Lee
I never really used Lucky Palms and I wouldn't use it now. That said, people do like this kind of game play so they probably should make something similar for them. I don't have to buy it.
I want casino games for sure, but I didn’t get far in sims 3 so I don’t know what gambling activities came with it. Can anyone give me a list of what activities came with it?
I greatly dislike gambling and it wouldn't fit with the current PC theme of TS4 either. Gambling can lead to irresponsible behaviour and eventually addiction. neither of which send the right message for a game like this.
The games themselves without any money passing hands and just for fun i have no objection to.
I'd rather it was a GP. "Worlds" don't come with SPs.
If we had a Vegas-style world, they could do something new - THEMED WEDDINGS! Not only have casino with at least as many gambling devices as they had in TS3, but a wedding chapel that catered to a few different types of weddings (or create our own).
It would be the perfect chance to add more of those romance interactions that others have been screaming for.
I don't know anything about Lucky Palms, I haven't played earlier Sims games, but I don't like gambling, it bores me. I don't mind most of the new stuff on Sims, even if I'm not interested of those things, but gambling is just something that I really don't care at all.
Lucky Palms was cool to look at, but I never sent my Sims gambling. Give me things I can't do in real life, like become a multi-million dollar celebrity by playing a guitar on a street corner with no actual lessons.
I'd rather they just released a pack with things for your sim to do in general. I don't need a theme, with hair, clothes walls etc filler.. Just give me a pool table, a train set for the kids...just some totally new playthings with new animations for everyday use, And a rock radio station, for pity sake.
Not a stuff pack perse, but I would love some items for sims to be able to gamble.
Loved the poker table from Sims 2 and would like something like that back for young adults and up to play.
That and maybe some video poker~ Or maybe a spin off game for it like Moogoo Monkey from the sims urbz gba that'd be fun as it's not quite poker, but you can gamble with placing bets.
Yes, but if it gets its own stuff pack, it should be more fleshed out than what we've seen in TS3 Lucky Palms. However, I doubt it would happen, since this community seems to be more fond of having knitting added into the game instead of something even remotely interesting...
Absolutely! They could give us lots of games by giving us two premium interactive items, and several skins of each that would be a different game. Or an option on the card table games to play one of 3 or so games.
It's kind of sad that I have to point out that anything I say is only just my opinion and may be a different one from someone else.
I'd love to see gambling in the sims and more adult things included.
I feel the game is getting too PC and childish with every pack that is released.
Some of the things are just too childish by far, I mean c'mon, 'speak like a pirate day'!!!
Not something I wish for, but I would buy it .
Besides I don't know this from TS2 and TS3 yet.
Sul Sul!

The casinos in Sims3 weren't just about gambling and drinking. They were venues where bands, comedians, magicians and singers could perform, and your celebrity Sims were sent there to complete certain 'gigs' and be paid for it. And there was a new gambling skill for your Sims. I believe the highest payout on a slot machine was 5000 Simoleans with a hundred Simoleans bet. And playing blackjack and poker was a lot more difficult and the payouts were very low in comparison to like painting a masterpiece. Leveling up skills in Sims2 and 3 was hard, so it took a long time for any Sim to become a pro at gambling. It was something my Sims did for entertainment, never as a lifestyle. A casino could have a restaurant, a bowling alley, dance floor, bar, karaoke stage, along with a couple of slot machines to make the place seem as if it were a casino, rather than a multi-use venue. The decor assets were flashy and definitely screamed Vegas, but they made for some very interesting builds. The Lucky Palms world was one of the best worlds made for Sims3. It is stunning. But if the Sims4 teams tried to recreate the experience I have had with Lucky Palms, I don't think they could come even close. We don't yet have the ability to create a band in Sims4 after five years of waiting, so that doesn't instill much confidence in the devs' ability to recreate the Lucky Palms experience for Sims4. There would be so much missing, it wouldn't be the same. If they do a gambling style pack well enough, I would buy it though. Just so my Sims could have something new to do.

Gambling in TS3 was so much more fun than I thought it would be. In addition to the casino venue, there was also this set: https://store.thesims3.com/setsProductDetails.html?scategoryId=14061&index=0&productId=OFB-SIM3:64896
