Next GP ideas

I think the next pack will be a game pack around February that will be a wild card: it could be anything really, as this is when they seem to try out new things (JA, Strangerville). It could be one of the ideas people have suggested, or something entirely new that no one has guessed yet.

I think we will get our community vote/knitting stuff pack in the summer, around July or August (I'm still hoping it also includes sculpting, at least). And I think we will get another supernatural GP around Halloween... very likely Werewolves... although after the last community vote, it could also include elements from the haunting theme.

Now, as for expansion packs, I believe we will almost certainly get one in June and one in November. I don't feel confident enough to bet on what either will be, but my hope is that one will be related to farming and one will be related to vacations... perhaps with multiple destinations, a hotel system, etc. But I could also imagine one that is related to hobbies more generally, or something entirely new.

I suppose it's possible there could also be another stuff pack thrown into the mix somewhere during the year, possibly another corporate tie-in.

    Dragon GP
    • Dragons are small pets and don't take up a house slot.
    • New NPC: Vicki Vampiress, an egg vendor and expert in all things scaly.
    • Obtain dragon eggs, which you can cuddle, keep warm and dote on until they hatch.
    • Neglecting the eggs can keep them from hatching.
    • There are different eggs, which will decide your dragon's color. Their colors can be changed with special treats.
    • Some dragons have different behaviors based on color (purple dragons are well-behaved, red dragons are more inclined to start fires.)
    • Types of dragons: Gold (More likely to eat plants and bring you gems), Purple (well-behaved, won't start any fires unless commanded), Red (more likely to start fires, will attack any sims its owner has a bad relationship with), Black (more likely to start fires, are harder to befriend and drop more scales/tears), Blue (harder to befriend, less likely to start fires, drop way too many tears), Brown (tend to poop more often), White (easiest to befriend & won't set fires, but won't drop any items and can't be trained), Pink (Easy to befriend and love cuddles, but don't do well with training.)
    • But you can train any dragon not to burn things, eat your plants or attack your gnomes and guests.
    • Train your dragon yourself, or pay for Vicki Vampiress' obedience course.
    • Feed dragons, take them for walks, and let them test their mettle against other dragons in the neighborhood.
    • Dragons love to be cuddled with, and they love attention.
    • Give them wind-up gnome toys for them to play with. If you have C&D, other pet toys can entertain them.
    • They can be trained to set fires, set other sims on fire, garden and eat homework.
    • Neglecting them can lead to them starting fires. Luckily, they only do this when they want attention, so they'll never start a fire when you're not home.
    • Some dragons bring you rare gems and minerals.
    • Their scales, tears and diamond-encrusted droppings can be used for... something. They're probably just high-selling collectibles in most games, but become ingredients for spells if you have RoM.
    • Dragons don't die, so they can stay with a family for generations. But you can sell them to Vicki Vampiress if you're sick of them.
    • Dress your dragons up in adorable hats, scarves and costumes.
    • Get two dragons and start breeding them. Their eggs sell for a decent amount.
    • If you have a strong relationship with your dragon, it might try to attack the Grim Reaper to save your life.

Coming February 2020, The Sims 4: Master of Dragons.

@Gordy That's such a cool idea. Also, Vicki back from SIms 1 would be awesome. I was disappointed in Sims 2 that they kinda left some of the sims 1 premades untouched when I wanted to know their fate... I used to expect that we would get them in new neighborhoods from new Expansion Packs, but that never happened... Not even in SIms 3 which made things worse adding 10283013138 new sims and only adding old sims from Pleasantview. :(

I would LOVE a casino pack with a gorgeous Monte Carlo type world which adds a hotel feature to the game. Could be a vacation GP but I would want the hotel lot trait to be usable in other worlds. There could also be swimmable beaches to add even more gameplay.

    Yes, yes yes!

Bringing in some amusement park content in a GP would make me very, very, very happy. Also werewolves but I would expect if we get them they will be the 2nd GP for 2020 if there is one, since the last GP was a lifestate based one.
It's kind of sad that I have to point out that anything I say is only just my opinion and may be a different one from someone else.

I'm going to go with possibly Fairies or another Family/Generational Game Pack. Could possibly be Dragons too, although they could come with Fairies if they were small.

Things that I think could be in the making are Cars, Farming (with an animal focus), and possibly (hopefully) some new base game features for personality improvement. But I don't know if those things would be next year or not.

I would buy that one in half a heartbeat. Seriously, I need this!

@LiELF I bet they are developing a Create-A-World tool too.

I would love to see an update and more things added to Strangerville as well as the Jungle Adventure. A revamp of Strangerville to include opening up the downtown area for shopping, resturants, pubs, maybe a small park. Add more story lines to both of these packs. Expand the Jungle Adventure to be able to pick up the snakes and maybe have different types of snakes, maybe venom and you have so many hours to get the venom vaccine. More ruins to explore would be nice too.

As far as GPs go in really hoping for a new vacation world. I’m definitely on board for a snow-themed or alpine world. Find it hard to believe they’d leave us with only two destinations to choose from and it’s been nearly two years since the last one, so I’d like to think we could be expecting another one fairly soon.

I’m also wishing for werewolves as they’re my favourite occult, but I think I possibly remember one of the devs stating a while back that they weren’t being planned? So idk. I won’t be getting my hopes up, but I still think they’d make a fantastic GP.

I would love an alpine world that has adventure aspect with mountain climbing and skiing perhaps? Perhaps we could explore beautiful icey caves and collect different treasures. They could include a resort lot type in a pack like this that we can use in all the worlds too.

Whatever it is I hope it’s not just another pretty smokeshow of a world. This game loves making babe worlds with no gameplay.

One thing I really want in TS4 is more venues to go to.

An arcade GP, with arcade machines, claw machines, whack a gnome, shuffle tables, hockey etc, earning tickets by achieving high scores on the machines and redeeming them for exclusive prises (similar to festivals on TS1 and TS3), would be super awesome to get.

A funhouse/amusement park GP would also be very interesting. It could feature a mimes or acrobat NPC's, fun house mirrors, carousels, cotton candy machines/vendors, magicians that pull things out of their hats or do card tricks, inflatable houses for kids, making balloon animals, and so on.

An asian sort of vacation spot like Takemizu Village, would also be something wonderful to have. With a teppanyaki grill/restaurants, sushi, martial arts skill, dojo venue, inn's for sims to stay at, etc.

I would like to see a vacation pack with hotel stuff and lot trait, as well as stuff for a casino. I would also like to see romance and wedding/ honeymoon stuff. I think all of the stuff would go along well with in a new GP. I want to see farming as an Expansion pack.

Based on the simguru comments I think we are about to get horses, which would fit very well with a farming pack.

an ice-snow gamepack where sims could freely ice-skate on frozen over lakes would be awesome. transportation could have skis and snowboards which would work similar to bikes. would love that.

A pack that is not centered around Young Adults, that's all I am asking for.
    Origin ID is: AlbaWaterhouse

@Gordy one of the Maxis fav Sims is a guy who claims he sells dragons. I use him in my sim story video, his name is Magnus. So, maybe that is a hint that dragons are coming. Or it could just be random

As in, the sims that Maxis favorites on the Gallery? Unfortunately, they just seem to pick people at random and like their stuff as a way to promote them, so I don't think it's a hint.

The Sims 4 hasn't introduced a new musical instrument since 2017

I'd see a Cars GP possible. With a mechanic career (I feel like there are not enough careers using the handiness skill), worn-out clothes and some other 'wheely' stuff. Ofc, it'd have motorcycles in addition to cars. And maybe a small world looking like industrial suburbs.
And they could use some of the silly naming conventions from the last EPs - something like 'Discover motors' or Get wheels'.
Plus it'd allow those who're not fond of cars in TS4 to opt out of them by not buying the pack.

Another supernatural pack is likely, though it might take a while - and I wouldn't be against another travel pack.
I like fantasy and a bit of Sci-Fi. Want to know what I'm reading?
I also like wandering the hills.

Farm Life is a common assumption as the next EP. But I'm hoping for something musical in a game pack. The ability to construct a band. More instruments.

Nonetheless I think the number of titles are less predictable than the order.
Prepping a list of mods to add after Infants are placed into the game. Because real life isn't 'nice'.

This is a prediction, not my personal preference (when it comes to the GP).

    Next GP: Horses.

Next EP: Generations (at least so I hope..)

Im hoping for a resort or hotel GP myself. One that allows you to build them in any world, not just vacation worlds or whatever world it comes with. Own and run them, stat in them, etc!
My speculations on hints for future content:
    -Cars Update
    -Spiral/Diagonal Stairs Update
    -Hotel Pack
-Romance Pack (possibly combined with Hotel Pack)
    -Bands Pack
    -Royalty Pack
    -Fashion Design Pack
    -Fairies Pack
    -Werewolf Pack
    -France-inspired World
