So everyone's Caleb is a little bit different, but it's still him.
Mine is a good yet powerful vampire by now.
I played him actively when making then raising Ezra (because I like to raise my sims from toddlers) and somehow he ended up in relationship with Morgan.
Well, it was Morgan who fell hard for him when she was still a teen and it was Lilith who turned her when she became YA (she wanted her brother to have a partner).
So there was the iconic Caleb's behavior when he flirted with Morgan shamelessly but then rejected her flirts.
But she wouldn't give up and eventually he became her boyfriend.
Morgan got her prize, but for Caleb it's more like friendship with benefits.
He's not lovey-dovey at all until he suddenly is and goes into 200% passion mode, but then he gets up and goes to watch culinary shows like nothing happened.
So... um... I really fancy the pairing with Morgyn
But I don't want to break Morgan's heart.
What do I do?

Actually funny story, the bit about Caleb and Lilith not remembering how to human, that was sort of the game's doing. I had to chase them to get them to eat and sleep, and Caleb still tries to avoid sleeping any way he can (I think he doesn't like having to sleep), for at least a week after turning them human. So I kinda just worked it in there. xD Apparently they didn't quite remember how to human at first, and Caleb still hates sleeping. Lilith did a bit better, but she does have an obsession with working out. It's almost unhealthy.
... I take that back, I just noted she's starving and has no interest in fixing this. -_-
Also, interestingly, Caleb has a Glimmerstone. I do not know why because he's not a spellcaster. Or he shouldn't be. ... Morrgyyyynnn!! (To be fair, could've been Damian.)
And the shock emphasis is rooted in the Goth aversion to electronics. I presume it had something to do with Lolita Goth, you can find her gravestone in the Goth cemetery in TS3. She died by electrocution, but we don't know for sure who she is or how she's related to the Goths, and this is fascinating because the Goths never have any electronics in their home. There's theorising that she's the first wife of Gunther, and subsequently Mortimer was raised without electronics as Gunther got rid of all of them to prevent another electrocution. So my Cassandra has a fear of electronic things, particularly trying to fix electronic things without magic, and resolutely did not like her boyfriend messing with a broken laptop.
(Damian? Well, he's a spellcaster, what the heck's he afraid of? Precisely.)
Yeah... I was totally down for an OT3 too. (I'm in a real-life poly so I'm absolutely not against poly lol it solves a lot of problems xD). It's just often such a pain to get it to work that I just don't bother, typically. Sad for Caleb, but maybe he can get'im a pretty blond instead. Morgyn definitely seems into the idea. Won't leave Caleb alone for two seconds and was determined to get along with Lilith, even when Lilith went off in a rage for... I don't even know what reason, I missed it. (I guess Lilith got hangry. I suppose it stands to reason old former vampires wouldn't take to hunger pains very well...)

Well, I guess this really depends on where you wanna go, but uh. Ifffffffffff Morgan were to... say.... have an unfortunate accident with a vampire pulling a drain life spirit... it wipes relationships, if I remember rightly, which does have the annoying side effect of wiping them ALL, but Caleb would uh, suddenly be very single, and Morgan wouldn't know what's missing. Not sure you can use that power on other vampires though so you may have to de-vamp her first.

The very next day, Thorne went to Dash's house to tell him about how Don felt. He'd promised Don that he would be kind, and he would help Dash. That was the only thing that would placate Don, and Thorne didn't want Don to be in such mental distress, just now.
At first Dash had no idea what was happening. What’s going on? Dash said to himself. "The" Thorne Bailey, came to my front door and requested a moment of my time. But what Thorne is telling me makes no sense, what does he mean, the Don I know isn't actually Don?
"Look Dash, you aren't going to want to see or believe this," Thorne said, "but Don Lothario is as far from a sweet caring man as Brindleton Bay weather is from Hawaii weather, and he says he can't keep deceiving you like he has been. It's causing him mental distress, so I promised him that I'd come to talk to you, to make you understand."
"And what exactly does that mean?" Dash asked him, "And why are you the one telling me this. Why isn't Don here? Why should I believe you?"
"Look," Thorne said, "See this picture of Don, hitting on someone at 8 Bells? I'm the one who sent that picture to you. I’ve been trying to save you from him for a long time. I've been around Don, I know what he's actually like, and he's not the best person."
"Here are some videos of him, listen to his voice, that's not the voice he uses for you. Look at how he walks, look at his hand gestures. This is the real Don. The man you know is a persona he puts on for nice gentlemen like you, who wouldn't want to spend time with the real him."
"I know you don’t want to hear this. I know that you love him, and think he’s wonderful. But he’s not. He's a liar, a conman. Generally he doesn't care about people's feelings, and if you spent any time talking to the people around here you'd hear the same thing, over and over. Don Lothario is not trustworthy, he pretends to care, he acts like a loving person - when he wants to. But it isn't the real him. He doesn't want to go out with you any longer Dash, and I'm so sorry I have to tell you that."
"Dash?" Thorne said. "Are you listening? Do you hear what I'm saying? What are you thinking? I need to help you."
"What do you think I'm thinking?" Dash spoke, and his voice was a mixture of pain and rage. "I can't believe this! Does he have Any idea how much I love him!? Does he even care? Why did he do this? And why are You the one telling me? Where is he? I want to hear this from Him!"
"He does know how much you love him," Thorne answered, "and he's not here in person, because he's a coward. He knows how much this will hurt you, and he isn't equipped to deal with someone in pain like this. Don is a classic, 'Love 'em and leave 'em' guy. He's continued seeing you for so long, because he's afraid of the consequences of telling you he doesn't want to see you anymore."
"No, I'm not going to believe this from some stranger," Dash said. "Even if you are famous, that doesn't mean you don't lie. I know him! He loves me! He cares about me. I see it in his eyes, all the time."
"He told me things about your times together, things that only you and he would know, so I could prove to you that what I'm saying is true. He told me about the lighthouse, and the hot tub. He told me about the poem you wrote for him, he said it was about doves. He told me how you lay with your head on his chest, and run your fingers through his hair. He told me ..."
"Enough," Dash said.
"Why? Why did he do this? Why did he want to hurt me like this? I don't understand." Dash said.
Thorne had Dash sit down, "He wasn't trying to hurt you on purpose. He wanted you for one thing, because you are beautiful, and Don likes beautiful people. And he likes those beautiful people for one reason."
"So I was supposed to be a 'one night stand,' for him?" Dash asked.
"I'm sorry Dash, but yes, that's what was supposed to happen. That's what always happens with the people he picks up." Thorne answered.
Dash was staring at the picture of he and Don at the park. Then he said, "Why am I different? Why did he keep seeing me? I'm sure he loves me. If I could just talk to him, I can tell him he doesn't need to be that fake person for me. He can be the real Don."
"Dash," Thorne said, "the real Don is a monster. Do you know how many people he's slept with since he met you?"
"He did that? He's been with other people?" Dash whispered.
"At least 3," Thorne said. "And those are just the ones I know about for sure. There could easily be more."
Thorne got up, this was going as badly as he'd expected, or possibly worse.
Thorne needed to be ready for a breakdown, if (or most likely, when) it happened.
"So I was a bother to him?" Dash asked. "He was annoyed with me?"
"I don't think so," Thorne answered. "I think he honestly liked being with you, but you're far too good for him Dash. He knows he'd just disappoint you over and over."
"But I think I could change that," Dash said. "If he sees that I love the "real" Don, I think he would stop picking up people, stop sleeping around."
"A lot of people have thought that." Thorne said. "They've all been wrong. Ask yourself why he isn't with someone yet? Married and happy? It's very unlikely that a 'tame-able' person would be single this long, isn't it?"
"He's single because he wants to be single." Thorne continued. "Not because people don't fall in love with him. Most of them fall in love with him. He doesn't care. He likes chasing people, and he likes the thrill of knowing he got one more person in bed with him."
"But something must be different about me," Dash said, "You said he's worried about hurting me, and it's causing him mental distress. Has he been that way about other people who fell in love with him?"
"As far as I know, he hasn't," Thorne admitted, "but I haven't personally known him that long. The thing is, the exact reason that he's so worried about you is the same reason he'll never be happy with you. You are selfless, and he doesn't understand that. You are pure, untainted. He doesn't know the word for it, but he knows there's something so remarkable about you that he can't stand to kill it. He at least has that much humanity in him."
The tears were starting now, as Thorne had expected. "Dash?" Thorne asked, "You need a shoulder to cry on? I think you need a friend right now."
Dash nodded his head, yes.
So Thorne held him while he cried. Thorne looked at the picture of Don, and wanted to smack the smile right off of his face. How much pain is enough Don? He thought to himself. How many more people deserve this?
"Dash, There is a doctor outside. A psychologist. He's going to stay here with you tonight. I don't want you to hurt yourself because of Don Lothario," and he tried his hardest to hide the disgust in his voice as he said the name. He couldn't have Dash thinking that he'd done this just to hurt Don. On the contrary, he did actually want to save Dash.
"I don't want some stranger in here with me," Dash said.
"I know you don't," Thorne said. "But I have to insist. He's a nice man. He'll talk to you, make sure you're safe this first night. And I'm going to come over on Thursday, to see how you're doing."
Dash didn't have the energy to say no.
So Thorne went out to ask Dr Harrison to come in, and he introduced him to Dash.
Dr Harrison asked Dash to come and sit down and talk to him.
And Dash did.
Thorne waited for a few minutes, to see if everything was ok, and then he left.
He drove back to where Don was waiting, and got out to talk to him.
"Is he ok? Did you fix it?" Don asked
"Of course he's not ok. Why did you think he'd be ok this quickly?" Thorne replied. "He's heartbroken. But the Dr is there, and I'm going to get him on Thursday, and take him to meet the acquaintance of mine that I mentioned. The one that just got his heart broken too. Even if they aren't attracted to each other, at least they can commiserate with each other."
"But you said you'd fix it!" Don replied. "I thought you knew how to make him ok right away."
Keep it together Thorne, he said to himself.
"Don, I will fix it. It takes time;" Thorne told him. "Thursday is much too soon to even think about introducing him to another man, but I have no choice. I think they will like each other, so we'll see. It would really help if you'd stop doing this to people, you know?"

I missed some of your questions: Diego twirling Jessica was 100% me - using the slow dance mod and quickfire pause pressing. (That's why I said it was pure self indulgence) when I saw her in that dress I just wanted to go full Disney (Diego did not mind at all!).
The judgey celebrity is (after a quick google) called Kayla Flemming. She is a personal trainer (I don't know how she got famous from that maybe she is an ex pro athlete?) and she has a celebrity quirk called juice enthusiast (needs to drink juice regularly and gets angry if can't drink or go to bars) - sounds like she needs to join a sims version of AA (JA?). She never interacts and my only times seeing her in the game are usually at the gym or awards. (and this one time).
Thanks for the info about the cafe table (my sims usually hang out inside - so they need to get alfresco when they get romantic from now on. I didn't use a filter at the wedding - the venue has arches instead of doors on one side so it is not sealed properly and the lights take on a soft glow even on top brightness. Also the only lights are the two candle holders, the floor lights near the aisle and some ceiling get together dance floor lights (one set on purple and another on pale blue - plus the pink glowing dance floor)- it combines for lovely lighting effects - i change the dance floor and ceiling light colours for different weddings and different effects - I also remodel the flower / fountain displays outside the windows to give it the feel of a new venue (its my oldest venue in the game).
@sarabeth2984 I definetely had "fun with Vlad"reading your update. I can't believe he bought his pipe organ (or that they all gather around).
@DoloresGrey its not a temperature related death (don't own seasons) but I wasn't expecting it at all as I never have had this happen before.

@Morkovka Your dialogue in the spoiler gave me a laugh and I needed it to write this update.
Both Jessica and Bjorn were at work - Viktor decided to invite his friends around for a party and decided on a weenie roast - I didn't even have time to screenshot anything before fire went everywhere. ............ no one died ...............yet (although Viktor sat in his burning chair so long I thought it was inevitable (screaming at sim not screenshotting occurred - but he got up and ran before he died).
Jessica and Bjorn spawned in from work - they were really pleased to find half the neighbourhood panicking in their front garden.
Lets play spot the evil sims in these pictures (Viktor needs a better group of friends)
At this stage everyone started to go home and I focused on calming my sims and making sure everyone was safe. When the death sounds happened ....

It wasn't these 3 (Lyra was in bed so it wasn't her either).
It was Bjorn - he'd gone and had a heart attack! (emotional death - anger!) The tense moodlet from the fire had temporarily hid his angry moodlet from work and, then it didn't and boom no more Bjorn.) I had not checked him as with the freelance botanist aspiration complete he is fireproof so I assumed he would be safe.
Jessica pleaded for his life but Grim was unmoved.
I have never seen anyone cry so much in game.
Poor Jessica - she is so sad and confused.
I do feel bad as Bjorn was getting back to his old self but now she will find out things about him and he won't be there to give his side, or be there for her to scream at/ talk things through / get answers from and it will be very emotionally complicated for her. - Bjorn may have said he felt bad during the previous bonfire scene but he never said at any point that he was sorry or even really took any of the responsibility for what was happening to them. Now Jessica won't get the chance to hear that (it would have meant something even if / when their marriage ended). And she will be left with a load of guilt around her role in everything which mightn't be there if he hadn't died and they had some honest conversations. Now she will always have unanswered questions/ doubts.
But honestly with his careers, and double life/ family , feud with Brytani Cho and his general emotional state if this were RL a heart attack may have been on the cards anyway.
(and I am going to miss him as I played with him for a long while in this save.)
@Morkovka ooh I'm an expert now, I like the sound of that ;D ...Uh, anyway, my general advice for that sort of dilemma is polyamory. There's a few ways to do it - you can cheat in the Player trait for all of the involved parties, which gets rid of jealousy. It's usually the reward trait for the Serial Romantic aspiration, code is 'traits.equip_trait Player'. Second method is via MCCC, specifically the Woohoo module. The bits you want there are No Jealousy and Allow Polygamy. The last method is via a mod that I can't mention here that includes a specific Polyamory trait, which not only allows for relationships between multiple Sims, but gives them positive moodlets when they see their loved ones with others.
Basically, go forth and give your Caleb a Morg*n collection!

The "Life Essense" part was a no-no at first, because that's exactly what happened with Ezra and his ex-gf (autonomosly), but now that I think of it I could certainly use this idea!
I'm all for polyamory! I think it's a beautiful thing and I've done it before with the Player trait cheat (wish there was a normal ingame method to set up consenting sims for that). But the problem is - I don't think Caleb's really into MorgAn He was her prize yeah, but for him it's not the same.
I'll take time and consider both options!

Tl;dr though, he's practically throwing himself at Morgyn anyway. Actually he seemed to see Damian as more of a rival than anything at first, and then he seemed to be like "Okay, well if I can't beat you, maybe I can claim you too," and that didn't work either, and he changed his tune pretty darn quick when Morgyn walked in, so you know.
Nothing beats the Genuine Article I guess. LOL
Tbh 4 is the first game I've played the Goths in. I found Lolita info on the Sims wiki and was like uwotm8... which I was reading about the Goths on to get my lore right for the Goth Legacy so yeah... stumbled into some interesting xD

@Morkovka Yes, Morgan is young and not particularly wise. She's a teen, and having a mature perspective isn't her strong suit. Similarly, Gaston is a young adult, but hasn't been one long, and neither one of them has been around as long as Caleb, who despite being kind of innocent at heart in matters of love, has had the benefit of more life experience than most Elders. Not running off half-c ocked is a benefit of experience. Gaston and Morgan have some things in common (a high appreciation for hijinks, and a deep need for passion) and Caleb and Morgan have in common the romantic bent and the innocence of heart. Then we've got Caleb's fundamental "love butterfly" nature, and a surprisingly strong attachment to him by Gaston...I was shocked to find that Gaston's jealousy was all for Caleb, when he walked in on Caleb and Morgan exploring a latent interest in each other. He wasn't the least bit jealous that Morgan was with Caleb, only the other way around.
@ryttu3k It does seem like Caleb has high need for romance, but has an innate duality to express with it, and can't get his needs fully met in just one person (unless maybe that one person also has a matching and equally compatible set of dualities? Maybe that's Morgyn, but I haven't play them yet with anyone. I categorize Caleb as a love butterfly who doesn't like to put fences around open pasture. He makes a good monogamous father and spouse in games where I have done that, but he seems to get bored and boring, at the same time. It stifles something essential to his Calebness.
@AlwaysAsking So it appears Don does have a tiny scrap of compassion in his otherwise calloused moldy little lump of a heart? Fascinating! And someone is obviously quite loaded, being able to pay a psychiatrist to babysit overnight personally!

I'm kind of wondering if Morgan's dad is next for a rage-fueled heart attack, in my game. Dominic has died from rage in my games before. Some Sims seem more prone to it than others.
@Keidra Don't apologize for your "long" explanation: I was hanging on every word! I had no idea about Lolita Goth, for instance. That kind of background lore is just what those of us who don't have it, need shared.
I felt kind of exhausted for Caleb's sake, too, and considered that maybe it would be best for all involved if he just said "Inata!" and pushed them both out of his life. But he can't stay away from the pretty pretty fire.
Edited to rescue the perfectly appropriate term "half-c ocked" (it has nothing to do with anatomy or anything vulgar) from the insane degree of 'plum-izing' that sometimes obscures the meaning of words and phrases, or worse, as in the horse reference of in Gaston's head of trying not to s pook Morgan lest she bolt, it made it sound like he was thinking something innapropriate, because it covered it with the plum sticker again. When things that don't need to be, get censored out, it makes the phrase sound dirty when it wasn't.

Just about time for me to call it a night, so before I go, another update.
Recap: Damian Ember the Morgyn Ember CAS Clone and Cassandra Goth moved in together in San Myshuno, got a posh apartment, stole the Vatores, turned them human, and shipped them off to college. Cassandra and Damian are engaged and expecting a baby.
Ugh. This one sure moved a lot already. Cassandra had to wonder if that was normal, or if it was just this particular baby. Then again, Damian and Morgyn never seemed to sit still; maybe it was an Ember thing.
One thing was for sure, she hated morning sickness, and if it was always going to be like this, maybe it was going to be the one kid for them, and no more.
For a moment, Cassandra thought to call her mother. Bella had birthed two children, maybe she knew a magic fix for all this rearrangement of innards that was going on. Maybe after a nap. On Damian, because it was his child she was carrying around, anyway.
"Good morning," Morgyn greeted.
Caleb thought he might be imagining things, but Morgyn always seemed happier to see him than everyone else. (Barring Damian. One should be happy to see one's sibling, after all, and Caleb was always notably happier to see Lilith, too.) He wasn't sure if he was feeling brave. (Two flops didn't inspire confidence.) "Good morning," he greeted back, hoping his voice didn't shake. And what was Morgyn wearing, because good heck it looked good.
"Did you sleep okay?" Morgyn asked.
"I did, thank you," Caleb answered. "You?"
"Alright," Morgyn replied. "Having a hard time getting used to the bright lights of the city."
"We could get thicker curtains if..."
"Oh no," Morgyn said. "I'll get used to it. It's only been a few days."
"Okay." Silence settled between them. Caleb tried not to fidget too much. He remembered how much trouble Cassandra had with Damian. He wasn't sure if he wanted to be too bold. Morgyn might react the same way.
"You look really nice in white," Morgyn said suddenly. And then turned to go up the stairs, and winked along the way.
Caleb laughed quietly to himself. Maybe it wouldn't play out quite the same way as Cassandra and Damian.
"Morgyn," Damian called, sounding a little frantic and sitting at the bar next to his sibling, "please tell me you know where Cassandra went?" Their wedding had only just begun, but the guests were all here, the mixologist was present and working, and where was the bride?
"In the kitchen," Morgyn answered. "Baking the cake."
"What?" Damian asked, and then sighed. "Why is she making her own wedding cake?"
"You know her," Morgyn said, smirking in amusement. "She's so picky about foodstuffs anyway, it's probably for the best. Besides, it's also cheaper."
That was true. Damian did not have an argument for that. Aside from that they had plenty of money and if Cassandra wanted the wedding of her dreams, they could likely afford it. On the other hand, he also recognised it was unlikely to be the wedding of her dreams if she didn't do some things herself.
"Calm down," Morgyn said, reaching over and patting Damian's shoulder. "Everything will be fine, you'll see."
"I keep expecting her to change her mind," Damian whispered.
"Just remember she's Cassandra," Morgyn said. "And Cassandra is only Cassandra."
Cassandra smiled shyly. "I actually never figured out what to say here."
"That's fine," Damian said. "You can wing it if you want." Sometimes winging it turned out alright, and it meant more because it was from the heart.
Cassandra seemed to consider it for a moment, glancing at the crowd. Her eyes met her mother's, who nodded encouragingly. "Well, I guess we can start with, I never thought it was possible for me to love someone so much," Cassandra said. "I always thought that kind of thing belonged in story books and fairy tales, and that reality was a little different, not for girls like me. I'm glad I was wrong. I'm glad I met you. Every day is a new adventure, and I love finding new things about you, good and bad, and I hope that, whenever you experience things that hurt, you won't be afraid to tell me."
Damian was quiet for a moment, smiling slightly. "I wasn't ready for that," he said.
"Wing it," Cassandra whispered.
"Words just aren't enough," he said. "It's fascinating to me how we try to make words convey certain ideas and feelings but it's fairly common that words aren't enough. I thought, for a long time, that I'd be alone forever, because no one could ever love someone like me. I don't make it easy to love me, and I know it, and I'm sorry for that, but somehow you make it seem easy. I can only hope that I can love you back even half as much. ... and I also make fun of you enough to keep your celebrity status from getting to your head."
Cassandra laughed. Didn't he see, that was part of what she loved about him? He wasn't difficult to love at all. It was just a matter of loving all of him, and not just the parts of his personality that were idealistic.
"I think this is the part where you kiss!" Caleb called from the back row. Cassandra and Damian laughed, but they kissed alright.
"AAAHHH, AHHAH, IT'S CASSANDRA GOTH, AAHHH, I'M AT HER WEDDING!!" A thunk sounded as the girl fell over into the grass. Alice, one of the Goths' family friends from Willow Creek, glanced down at her.
"What's her problem?" she asked.
"She's a big fan, can't help it," Morgyn answered, head shaking. Grace had never been quite so... so, before.
"Why her wedding..." Bella grumbled.
Because privacy was an illusion when you were famous, of course.

"Oh my gosh, I love your work," the woman squealed. Cassandra had only been asked to take pictures with probably four or five fans by now. Someone had let it leak she was here, the sanctity of her wedding be darned, apparently.
"Thank you," Cassandra answered. She was too happy right now to be truly annoyed.
"Can I have your autograph?" the woman asked. "Please?"
Cassandra glanced around, looking for Damian. He, it seemed, was taking the opportunity to get to know Alexander, and Cassandra was glad for it. Alexander was almost more of a wallflower than she had been at his age. "Sure," she decided, holding a hand out.
"Oh my gosh!! Thank you!!" The woman handed her a picture and a pen, and Cassandra dutifully signed and returned it. It made her day, and it took only a few moments.
Why not?
"You guys aren't a mafia family, are you?" Damian asked.
Mortimer simply got a very interesting look on his face. Damian paled, and Mortimer laughed. "No," he said. "No that would be the Fengs. Don't tell them I said that."
"Oh." Why was Mr. Goth aware of which rich families were mafia? Then again, maybe it was just a rich family thing.
"And before you ask, the Landgraabs aren't vampires," Mortimer went on. "Despite how vampiric their business methods are."
Damian snorted. "I'll take your word for it." Thankfully, Damian had no experience with the Landgraabs. And he had no intention of having experience with the Landgraabs, either.
"You take care of Cassandra, understand?" Mortimer said.
"I intend to," Damian answered.
"She is more delicate than she shows, and stronger than she knows."
Damian smiled. "Yeah Mr. Goth," he said. "That's part of why I fell in love with her. Her broken pieces and mine aligned in just the right ways as to fit together."
Mortimer tilted his head and smiled. That was the way Mortimer had always hoped someone would talk about his little girl someday.
"FINALLY," Lilith happily declared, jumping onto the treadmill. "I haven't been working out all day. No thanks to someone's wedding taking all day!"
Cassandra snorted somewhere behind her, getting out of her wedding dress and back into normal clothes. "It was a wedding, Lilith," she said.
"And it took all day," Lilith insisted. "I'm getting so close to my fitness goals, I can feel it!"
"If you say so," Cassandra answered. "Whatever makes you feel better. Hey, thanks for being there anyway." Even if her dress was more old-fashioned, she'd looked great in it.
"Of course," Lilith replied. "That's what friends are for. Even if you did keep me out all day."
Cassandra laughed. Of course she wouldn't let that go.
Caleb tilted his head, nodding at something on the table beside Morgyn. "What is that, anyway?"
Morgyn glanced at it. "Ah, it's called a Glimmerstone."
"What's it for?" Caleb asked.
For a moment, Morgyn wasn't sure if answering was a good idea. On second thought, Caleb and Cassandra had been friends a long time. It may not hurt anything. "For returning to Magic Realm," Morgyn said.
"Oh. Cassandra mentioned that place once," Caleb said, thoughtful. "It's like uh, floating islands or something in space."
Morgyn looked bemused. "Or something."
"What's being a spellcaster like, anyway?"
Morgyn smirked. "Want to find out?"
Caleb blinked. "This isn't like becoming a vampire, is it?"
"Not really," Morgyn said. "You can undo it much easier. And what's not to love about being able to freeze paparrazzi when they start really getting pushy?" Morgyn may or may not love to do that.
Caleb snorted. "You can freeze things?"
"And set them on fire," Morgyn answered. "Oh, and fix things. Potions do lots of interesting things, too."
"There are potions?" Caleb asked. "Like, like chemistry?"
"Sort of," Morgyn answered.
"Okay," Caleb decided. "I do want to find out."
Morgyn smiled, and stood up. And maybe if Morgyn was feeling kind later, Caleb might get some... personal magic lessons...
It was kind of silly Cassandra couldn't even go to the museum without a disguise anymore. She remembered back when nobody knew her name. It was much easier to blend in, then. Damian hadn't kept his name, deciding instead to take hers. Cassandra would wonder why, but she did know that Damian had a falling out with he and Morgyn's parents, something about Morgyn. Cassandra hadn't asked beyond that. Whenever Damian wanted to tell her, he would. Until then, that was between Damian and Morgyn.
She should probably go home soon, but it'd been a long time since she could look at the artwork in a museum. She was usually too busy painting and doing coursework.
Ah, how was she going to juggle university and raising a child? Well. There were two parents for a reason, right? Hmm. Maybe she'd go drop in on her family...
"How're you feeling?" Alexander asked.
Cassandra smiled. "Alright," she said. "My back hurts constantly."
"That doesn't sound fun," Alexander said.
"It could be a lot worse," she said. "The part I don't like is the nausea. Morning sickness, they call it, but you can get it at any time of the day."
"Then why is it called morning sickness?" he asked.
"Who knows."
"It's more common in the morning upon waking up," Bella explained. That made sense. Cassandra's story was still that it was stupid.
"You'll make a great mother, Cassandra," Mortimer said.
"Thanks, daddy." At least someone thought so. Most days, Cassandra wasn't so sure herself.

@Keidra Only in TheSims can you bake and decorate the wedding cake the same day you serve it, love how you work in game things. And the swooning fans at Cassandra's wedding! Your writing is such a pleasure to read. Titillating banter and awkward conversations all flow so believably.
@Morkovka though I'm no Caleb expert, what you wrote about your experiences with him was interesting. I agree he seems the kind of person who can fall in love so easily, but can be fickle without much explanation. Maybe there's something in him that likes being a tease? Or maybe he just can't make up his mind. Now that I have an Attraction system where I get to see who each Sim finds attractive, basic, very attractive, or extremely attractive, it helps, but I'm not so sure it's a static system. Will have to play with it longer because I swore Caleb's kept shifting. Maybe all of them shift with the day and mood and interactions? If so, it's like quicksand for building a house on. But even before I got that mod, seemed like Caleb was a bit of a mystery.

My two cents in the matter of Caleb: he is materialistic and a foodie, two traits that feed his obsession with pretty things and everything food-related. As I see it, it is not that he does not care, he simply lacks the required attention span for prolonged romantic scene. My experience with him is that he is way more manageable when separated from tv and bar, because his desire to mix endless drinks is almost as bad as the cooking shows 24/7
Adding a third party would sure spice things up, for better or worse.

It was a big mess at the hospital, between the staff, Morgan's father (who wanted Gaston's blood but would settle for bringing him up on charges), Gaston being detained, and Caleb being questioned.
Caleb went home a shell.
Please, Lilith. No talking right now.
He was always crying lately.
But he was running out of tears. Crawling into a coffin for the long stay, sounded appealing.
But he had to say goodbyes first.

After being released to her father's custody from the hospital on the condition that she enter therapy and rehab, Morgan tried to fit back into her old life, but nothing was the same. It was as if she really had died, and was now back as a ghost in her former life. Or a transplant in her own body. Even if she tried to go back to life the way it was, everyone around her knew. She was the talk of the town! The pregnant teenage OD/attempted suicide! Conversations between people she used to chat with, died down as she walked past. People stared, some with sad eyes and some with suspicion and dislike. But she was now The Other. Even her dad locked himself in his room when he came home, and never met her eyes or talked to her, and Siobhan tried to be supportive but ended up lecturing with told-you-so about hanging with the wrong crowd. Siobhan had ALWAYS been telling her so, warning her to conform, insisting her wayward spirit was a fatal flaw.
Ironically, the only two people she felt like she could talk with now, were Caleb and Gaston. Gaston had been arrested, and Caleb probably hated her guts. She'd never forget how he looked at her when she was being strapped to a gurney. She prayed ardently that she would go ahead and die, so she'd never have to face him again. But that hadn't happened.
All the more reason they had to talk.
Lilith answered the door, said that Caleb was upstairs, and proceeded to interrogate Morgan with the ruthless precision of a raptor.
Being yelled at would have been easier.
He didn't look up or move as she entered the room.
It was a long time before he spoke.
"Why, Morgan?" He glanced at her with hollow eyes, "Was it true? Were you really trying to die too?"
"I would have..." his voice choked off,"...raised..." --his voice rasped to a higher register-- "the child!"
"Caleb, I.. I'm so sorry! I have to go now!"
She was leaving. It was now or never. He got in front of her.
"Morgan, I'm going to go into hibernation. So this may be the last time you see me."
"Then take me with you!" she cried, "Turn me!"
He recoiled. How could she even ask that of him?
"I'll do it."
Lilith appeared suddenly, moving toward Morgan.
"NO!" Caleb moved at blur speed to block Lilith.

It's such a cute update about your Sims family. I had to laugh when you said Isaiah blew up on Farrah and spent most of the day tormenting his sister, and that there was no reason for it. Then you go on to talk about what a good student she is and how she gets to have her friends come over because she's getting good grades and she even got to play voidcritters with someone and have a group homework session on the weekend. While I believe that Isaiah didn't get to have a single friend over, so maybe that's why he was so crabby to her 😂
Lol, I'm incredibly lucky in that I have Thorne, but not Get Famous. So he can be as rich as Midas, but have no paparazzi to deal with.
And he is Extremely rich in my game, as will become apparent.

And perhaps he's better off. He was pretty tortured. He hated not seeing Tiffani and Walter very often. He was wracked by guilt, though as you said, he never apologized - to which I say, technically she wouldn't know at that time that he needed to apologize.
Idk, he ticked me off by saying it was her and her music driving them apart. Talk about a guilt trip. And I don't think there's anyone that he talked to about what was going on in his mind
I have a feeling she's going to blame herself for his stress, because of hanging out with Diego.

It's great that Jade and Kendrick are going strong, though I still dislike her for cheating with Bjorn. My philosophy is that people who know a person is married/attached, yet still sleep with them, are as bad as the adulterers themselves. If they didn't agree to do it, well, a lot less cheating.
Of course it's different if they don't know the person is married/attached. They can't be blamed at that point.
Yeah, Thorne knew what to do. And knowing that none of it was Dash's fault made it easier to be kind.
Thorne has reason to be sick of Don hurting people. And...he has the money for a psychiatrist, so get him there.
He needs Don to be healthy, mind and body, at this point.
My advice for the Morg*n issue is to get Morgan together with someone else first. Then breaking up will not bother her as much.
I tried that 3 people together thing once. Penny Pizzazz and two guys.
Personally I could take it, and it was fun and cute until I wanted her to have kids. Then I felt like it was weird. I had her decide by "try for baby" with both, but of course, in my game, they always get pregnant first time. So, I guess I knew who I wanted her with.
Anyway, everything is going so well with Ezra! But I'll bet he never expected himself in the role he's in. Lol
Slow and steady with Bianca seems smart after what happened. And I loved how the woman got Vlad Jr out. Spellcasters to the rescue!! The bowl of fruit was amazing 😅
And Ivy's children are all wonderful. 😊 How many are Simeon's? The youngest 3? Or 4? Lol, I can't keep track. And no curls, that is weird.
Madison moved to San Myshuno and into a two-bedroom apartment. She started working as a Critic and then met a man named Jack Avery. They hit it off instantly and she even invited him to spend Winterfest with her and her family. I forgot to get pics of Winterfest, but Madison's dad likes him.
Oh, the bartender at the art gallery also kicked the bucket. It took two sim-hours before I could save.

Usually, when I start my game, I either continue playing the current family or play a different one for awhile. Now, wanting to know how the University works, I played as the Antoines...or one of them, Jonathan.

Jonathan got accepted to the University of Britechester and moved in to a small house with three roommates. He's majoring in Psychology to be a Professor, and his Elective is Archeology and Ancient Simology.
Here are the roommates: Genesis Nielsen, Masato Hayashi, and Cheyenne Baca.
Thankfully, he still got a picture of him and his husband, Christian, on their trip from Selvadorada.
Jonathan got along with one of his roommates on his first day, probably because they're both snobs. XD
We had some guests over, and Jonathan wasn't interested in meeting with them, but there was one person he's familiar with. His best friend, Don. Never thought they actually met before.
I jokingly said they would make a cute couple...
...and the game took it serious. They have no romance bar, just a little flirt, and they're both married to someone else.
(I really need to stop jinxing myself.)

You can understand why. Though there are some physical differences, they do look a lot like one-another.

Since I wanted to play and interact with my sim, whether or not I specifically played that family, I made different files to make it seem like I've played them in one big game. I've been pretty updated in my sims lifes.
I have yet to see him as a ghost though.

Like I have some idea before I start, but they develop further the more I play them. Same goes for original Sims too.

Mine is a good yet powerful vampire by now.
I played him actively when making then raising Ezra (because I like to raise my sims from toddlers) and somehow he ended up in relationship with Morgan.
Well, it was Morgan who fell hard for him when she was still a teen and it was Lilith who turned her when she became YA (she wanted her brother to have a partner).
So there was the iconic Caleb's behavior when he flirted with Morgan shamelessly but then rejected her flirts.
But she wouldn't give up and eventually he became her boyfriend.
Morgan got her prize, but for Caleb it's more like friendship with benefits.
He's not lovey-dovey at all until he suddenly is and goes into 200% passion mode, but then he gets up and goes to watch culinary shows like nothing happened.
So... um... I really fancy the pairing with Morgyn
But I don't want to break Morgan's heart.
What do I do?

Actually funny story, the bit about Caleb and Lilith not remembering how to human, that was sort of the game's doing. I had to chase them to get them to eat and sleep, and Caleb still tries to avoid sleeping any way he can (I think he doesn't like having to sleep), for at least a week after turning them human. So I kinda just worked it in there. xD Apparently they didn't quite remember how to human at first, and Caleb still hates sleeping. Lilith did a bit better, but she does have an obsession with working out. It's almost unhealthy.
... I take that back, I just noted she's starving and has no interest in fixing this. -_-
Also, interestingly, Caleb has a Glimmerstone. I do not know why because he's not a spellcaster. Or he shouldn't be. ... Morrgyyyynnn!! (To be fair, could've been Damian.)
And the shock emphasis is rooted in the Goth aversion to electronics. I presume it had something to do with Lolita Goth, you can find her gravestone in the Goth cemetery in TS3. She died by electrocution, but we don't know for sure who she is or how she's related to the Goths, and this is fascinating because the Goths never have any electronics in their home. There's theorising that she's the first wife of Gunther, and subsequently Mortimer was raised without electronics as Gunther got rid of all of them to prevent another electrocution. So my Cassandra has a fear of electronic things, particularly trying to fix electronic things without magic, and resolutely did not like her boyfriend messing with a broken laptop.
(Damian? Well, he's a spellcaster, what the heck's he afraid of? Precisely.)
Yeah... I was totally down for an OT3 too. (I'm in a real-life poly so I'm absolutely not against poly lol it solves a lot of problems xD). It's just often such a pain to get it to work that I just don't bother, typically. Sad for Caleb, but maybe he can get'im a pretty blond instead. Morgyn definitely seems into the idea. Won't leave Caleb alone for two seconds and was determined to get along with Lilith, even when Lilith went off in a rage for... I don't even know what reason, I missed it. (I guess Lilith got hangry. I suppose it stands to reason old former vampires wouldn't take to hunger pains very well...)

Well, I guess this really depends on where you wanna go, but uh. Ifffffffffff Morgan were to... say.... have an unfortunate accident with a vampire pulling a drain life spirit... it wipes relationships, if I remember rightly, which does have the annoying side effect of wiping them ALL, but Caleb would uh, suddenly be very single, and Morgan wouldn't know what's missing. Not sure you can use that power on other vampires though so you may have to de-vamp her first.

The very next day, Thorne went to Dash's house to tell him about how Don felt. He'd promised Don that he would be kind, and he would help Dash. That was the only thing that would placate Don, and Thorne didn't want Don to be in such mental distress, just now.
At first Dash had no idea what was happening. What’s going on? Dash said to himself. "The" Thorne Bailey, came to my front door and requested a moment of my time. But what Thorne is telling me makes no sense, what does he mean, the Don I know isn't actually Don?
"Look Dash, you aren't going to want to see or believe this," Thorne said, "but Don Lothario is as far from a sweet caring man as Brindleton Bay weather is from Hawaii weather, and he says he can't keep deceiving you like he has been. It's causing him mental distress, so I promised him that I'd come to talk to you, to make you understand."
"And what exactly does that mean?" Dash asked him, "And why are you the one telling me this. Why isn't Don here? Why should I believe you?"
"Look," Thorne said, "See this picture of Don, hitting on someone at 8 Bells? I'm the one who sent that picture to you. I’ve been trying to save you from him for a long time. I've been around Don, I know what he's actually like, and he's not the best person."
"Here are some videos of him, listen to his voice, that's not the voice he uses for you. Look at how he walks, look at his hand gestures. This is the real Don. The man you know is a persona he puts on for nice gentlemen like you, who wouldn't want to spend time with the real him."
"I know you don’t want to hear this. I know that you love him, and think he’s wonderful. But he’s not. He's a liar, a conman. Generally he doesn't care about people's feelings, and if you spent any time talking to the people around here you'd hear the same thing, over and over. Don Lothario is not trustworthy, he pretends to care, he acts like a loving person - when he wants to. But it isn't the real him. He doesn't want to go out with you any longer Dash, and I'm so sorry I have to tell you that."
"Dash?" Thorne said. "Are you listening? Do you hear what I'm saying? What are you thinking? I need to help you."
"What do you think I'm thinking?" Dash spoke, and his voice was a mixture of pain and rage. "I can't believe this! Does he have Any idea how much I love him!? Does he even care? Why did he do this? And why are You the one telling me? Where is he? I want to hear this from Him!"
"He does know how much you love him," Thorne answered, "and he's not here in person, because he's a coward. He knows how much this will hurt you, and he isn't equipped to deal with someone in pain like this. Don is a classic, 'Love 'em and leave 'em' guy. He's continued seeing you for so long, because he's afraid of the consequences of telling you he doesn't want to see you anymore."
"No, I'm not going to believe this from some stranger," Dash said. "Even if you are famous, that doesn't mean you don't lie. I know him! He loves me! He cares about me. I see it in his eyes, all the time."
"He told me things about your times together, things that only you and he would know, so I could prove to you that what I'm saying is true. He told me about the lighthouse, and the hot tub. He told me about the poem you wrote for him, he said it was about doves. He told me how you lay with your head on his chest, and run your fingers through his hair. He told me ..."
"Enough," Dash said.
"Why? Why did he do this? Why did he want to hurt me like this? I don't understand." Dash said.
Thorne had Dash sit down, "He wasn't trying to hurt you on purpose. He wanted you for one thing, because you are beautiful, and Don likes beautiful people. And he likes those beautiful people for one reason."
"So I was supposed to be a 'one night stand,' for him?" Dash asked.
"I'm sorry Dash, but yes, that's what was supposed to happen. That's what always happens with the people he picks up." Thorne answered.
Dash was staring at the picture of he and Don at the park. Then he said, "Why am I different? Why did he keep seeing me? I'm sure he loves me. If I could just talk to him, I can tell him he doesn't need to be that fake person for me. He can be the real Don."
"Dash," Thorne said, "the real Don is a monster. Do you know how many people he's slept with since he met you?"
"He did that? He's been with other people?" Dash whispered.
"At least 3," Thorne said. "And those are just the ones I know about for sure. There could easily be more."
Thorne got up, this was going as badly as he'd expected, or possibly worse.
Thorne needed to be ready for a breakdown, if (or most likely, when) it happened.
"So I was a bother to him?" Dash asked. "He was annoyed with me?"
"I don't think so," Thorne answered. "I think he honestly liked being with you, but you're far too good for him Dash. He knows he'd just disappoint you over and over."
"But I think I could change that," Dash said. "If he sees that I love the "real" Don, I think he would stop picking up people, stop sleeping around."
"A lot of people have thought that." Thorne said. "They've all been wrong. Ask yourself why he isn't with someone yet? Married and happy? It's very unlikely that a 'tame-able' person would be single this long, isn't it?"
"He's single because he wants to be single." Thorne continued. "Not because people don't fall in love with him. Most of them fall in love with him. He doesn't care. He likes chasing people, and he likes the thrill of knowing he got one more person in bed with him."
"But something must be different about me," Dash said, "You said he's worried about hurting me, and it's causing him mental distress. Has he been that way about other people who fell in love with him?"
"As far as I know, he hasn't," Thorne admitted, "but I haven't personally known him that long. The thing is, the exact reason that he's so worried about you is the same reason he'll never be happy with you. You are selfless, and he doesn't understand that. You are pure, untainted. He doesn't know the word for it, but he knows there's something so remarkable about you that he can't stand to kill it. He at least has that much humanity in him."
The tears were starting now, as Thorne had expected. "Dash?" Thorne asked, "You need a shoulder to cry on? I think you need a friend right now."
Dash nodded his head, yes.
So Thorne held him while he cried. Thorne looked at the picture of Don, and wanted to smack the smile right off of his face. How much pain is enough Don? He thought to himself. How many more people deserve this?
"Dash, There is a doctor outside. A psychologist. He's going to stay here with you tonight. I don't want you to hurt yourself because of Don Lothario," and he tried his hardest to hide the disgust in his voice as he said the name. He couldn't have Dash thinking that he'd done this just to hurt Don. On the contrary, he did actually want to save Dash.
"I don't want some stranger in here with me," Dash said.
"I know you don't," Thorne said. "But I have to insist. He's a nice man. He'll talk to you, make sure you're safe this first night. And I'm going to come over on Thursday, to see how you're doing."
Dash didn't have the energy to say no.
So Thorne went out to ask Dr Harrison to come in, and he introduced him to Dash.
Dr Harrison asked Dash to come and sit down and talk to him.
And Dash did.
Thorne waited for a few minutes, to see if everything was ok, and then he left.
He drove back to where Don was waiting, and got out to talk to him.
"Is he ok? Did you fix it?" Don asked
"Of course he's not ok. Why did you think he'd be ok this quickly?" Thorne replied. "He's heartbroken. But the Dr is there, and I'm going to get him on Thursday, and take him to meet the acquaintance of mine that I mentioned. The one that just got his heart broken too. Even if they aren't attracted to each other, at least they can commiserate with each other."
"But you said you'd fix it!" Don replied. "I thought you knew how to make him ok right away."
Keep it together Thorne, he said to himself.
"Don, I will fix it. It takes time;" Thorne told him. "Thursday is much too soon to even think about introducing him to another man, but I have no choice. I think they will like each other, so we'll see. It would really help if you'd stop doing this to people, you know?"
"I will, I swear I will," Don told him.
Yes, Thorne said to himself, you will.

@AlwaysAsking I hope you are feeling more rested and towards normal. This time of year is exhausting even when we don't have as much going on as you do. Thanks for asking about the migraine. (Your poor son - I don't wish them on my worst enemy.)
I missed some of your questions: Diego twirling Jessica was 100% me - using the slow dance mod and quickfire pause pressing. (That's why I said it was pure self indulgence) when I saw her in that dress I just wanted to go full Disney (Diego did not mind at all!).
The judgey celebrity is (after a quick google) called Kayla Flemming. She is a personal trainer (I don't know how she got famous from that maybe she is an ex pro athlete?) and she has a celebrity quirk called juice enthusiast (needs to drink juice regularly and gets angry if can't drink or go to bars) - sounds like she needs to join a sims version of AA (JA?). She never interacts and my only times seeing her in the game are usually at the gym or awards. (and this one time).
Thanks for the info about the cafe table (my sims usually hang out inside - so they need to get alfresco when they get romantic from now on. I didn't use a filter at the wedding - the venue has arches instead of doors on one side so it is not sealed properly and the lights take on a soft glow even on top brightness. Also the only lights are the two candle holders, the floor lights near the aisle and some ceiling get together dance floor lights (one set on purple and another on pale blue - plus the pink glowing dance floor)- it combines for lovely lighting effects - i change the dance floor and ceiling light colours for different weddings and different effects - I also remodel the flower / fountain displays outside the windows to give it the feel of a new venue (its my oldest venue in the game).
@sarabeth2984 I definetely had "fun with Vlad"reading your update. I can't believe he bought his pipe organ (or that they all gather around).
@DoloresGrey its not a temperature related death (don't own seasons) but I wasn't expecting it at all as I never have had this happen before.

@Morkovka Your dialogue in the spoiler gave me a laugh and I needed it to write this update.
Both Jessica and Bjorn were at work - Viktor decided to invite his friends around for a party and decided on a weenie roast - I didn't even have time to screenshot anything before fire went everywhere. ............ no one died ...............yet (although Viktor sat in his burning chair so long I thought it was inevitable (screaming at sim not screenshotting occurred - but he got up and ran before he died).
Jessica and Bjorn spawned in from work - they were really pleased to find half the neighbourhood panicking in their front garden.

At this stage everyone started to go home and I focused on calming my sims and making sure everyone was safe. When the death sounds happened ....

It wasn't these 3 (Lyra was in bed so it wasn't her either).
Jessica pleaded for his life but Grim was unmoved.
I have never seen anyone cry so much in game.
Poor Jessica - she is so sad and confused.
I do feel bad as Bjorn was getting back to his old self but now she will find out things about him and he won't be there to give his side, or be there for her to scream at/ talk things through / get answers from and it will be very emotionally complicated for her. - Bjorn may have said he felt bad during the previous bonfire scene but he never said at any point that he was sorry or even really took any of the responsibility for what was happening to them. Now Jessica won't get the chance to hear that (it would have meant something even if / when their marriage ended). And she will be left with a load of guilt around her role in everything which mightn't be there if he hadn't died and they had some honest conversations. Now she will always have unanswered questions/ doubts.
But honestly with his careers, and double life/ family , feud with Brytani Cho and his general emotional state if this were RL a heart attack may have been on the cards anyway.
(and I am going to miss him as I played with him for a long while in this save.)
Basically, go forth and give your Caleb a Morg*n collection!

The "Life Essense" part was a no-no at first, because that's exactly what happened with Ezra and his ex-gf (autonomosly), but now that I think of it I could certainly use this idea!
I'm all for polyamory! I think it's a beautiful thing and I've done it before with the Player trait cheat (wish there was a normal ingame method to set up consenting sims for that). But the problem is - I don't think Caleb's really into MorgAn
I'll take time and consider both options!
Tl;dr though, he's practically throwing himself at Morgyn anyway. Actually he seemed to see Damian as more of a rival than anything at first, and then he seemed to be like "Okay, well if I can't beat you, maybe I can claim you too," and that didn't work either, and he changed his tune pretty darn quick when Morgyn walked in, so you know.
Nothing beats the Genuine Article I guess. LOL
Tbh 4 is the first game I've played the Goths in. I found Lolita info on the Sims wiki and was like uwotm8... which I was reading about the Goths on to get my lore right for the Goth Legacy so yeah... stumbled into some interesting xD

I can gavotte!" "...you can what now?")
@ryttu3k It does seem like Caleb has high need for romance, but has an innate duality to express with it, and can't get his needs fully met in just one person (unless maybe that one person also has a matching and equally compatible set of dualities? Maybe that's Morgyn, but I haven't play them yet with anyone. I categorize Caleb as a love butterfly who doesn't like to put fences around open pasture. He makes a good monogamous father and spouse in games where I have done that, but he seems to get bored and boring, at the same time. It stifles something essential to his Calebness.

I'm kind of wondering if Morgan's dad is next for a rage-fueled heart attack, in my game. Dominic has died from rage in my games before. Some Sims seem more prone to it than others.

I felt kind of exhausted for Caleb's sake, too, and considered that maybe it would be best for all involved if he just said "Inata!" and pushed them both out of his life. But he can't stay away from the pretty pretty fire.
Edited to rescue the perfectly appropriate term "half-c ocked" (it has nothing to do with anatomy or anything vulgar) from the insane degree of 'plum-izing' that sometimes obscures the meaning of words and phrases, or worse, as in the horse reference of in Gaston's head of trying not to s pook Morgan lest she bolt, it made it sound like he was thinking something innapropriate, because it covered it with the plum sticker again. When things that don't need to be, get censored out, it makes the phrase sound dirty when it wasn't.

Recap: Damian Ember the Morgyn Ember CAS Clone and Cassandra Goth moved in together in San Myshuno, got a posh apartment, stole the Vatores, turned them human, and shipped them off to college. Cassandra and Damian are engaged and expecting a baby.
Ugh. This one sure moved a lot already. Cassandra had to wonder if that was normal, or if it was just this particular baby. Then again, Damian and Morgyn never seemed to sit still; maybe it was an Ember thing.
One thing was for sure, she hated morning sickness, and if it was always going to be like this, maybe it was going to be the one kid for them, and no more.
For a moment, Cassandra thought to call her mother. Bella had birthed two children, maybe she knew a magic fix for all this rearrangement of innards that was going on. Maybe after a nap. On Damian, because it was his child she was carrying around, anyway.
"Good morning," Morgyn greeted.
Caleb thought he might be imagining things, but Morgyn always seemed happier to see him than everyone else. (Barring Damian. One should be happy to see one's sibling, after all, and Caleb was always notably happier to see Lilith, too.) He wasn't sure if he was feeling brave. (Two flops didn't inspire confidence.) "Good morning," he greeted back, hoping his voice didn't shake. And what was Morgyn wearing, because good heck it looked good.
"Did you sleep okay?" Morgyn asked.
"I did, thank you," Caleb answered. "You?"
"Alright," Morgyn replied. "Having a hard time getting used to the bright lights of the city."
"We could get thicker curtains if..."
"Oh no," Morgyn said. "I'll get used to it. It's only been a few days."
"Okay." Silence settled between them. Caleb tried not to fidget too much. He remembered how much trouble Cassandra had with Damian. He wasn't sure if he wanted to be too bold. Morgyn might react the same way.
"You look really nice in white," Morgyn said suddenly. And then turned to go up the stairs, and winked along the way.
Caleb laughed quietly to himself. Maybe it wouldn't play out quite the same way as Cassandra and Damian.
"Morgyn," Damian called, sounding a little frantic and sitting at the bar next to his sibling, "please tell me you know where Cassandra went?" Their wedding had only just begun, but the guests were all here, the mixologist was present and working, and where was the bride?
"In the kitchen," Morgyn answered. "Baking the cake."
"What?" Damian asked, and then sighed. "Why is she making her own wedding cake?"
"You know her," Morgyn said, smirking in amusement. "She's so picky about foodstuffs anyway, it's probably for the best. Besides, it's also cheaper."
That was true. Damian did not have an argument for that. Aside from that they had plenty of money and if Cassandra wanted the wedding of her dreams, they could likely afford it. On the other hand, he also recognised it was unlikely to be the wedding of her dreams if she didn't do some things herself.
"Calm down," Morgyn said, reaching over and patting Damian's shoulder. "Everything will be fine, you'll see."
"I keep expecting her to change her mind," Damian whispered.
"Just remember she's Cassandra," Morgyn said. "And Cassandra is only Cassandra."
Cassandra smiled shyly. "I actually never figured out what to say here."
"That's fine," Damian said. "You can wing it if you want." Sometimes winging it turned out alright, and it meant more because it was from the heart.
Cassandra seemed to consider it for a moment, glancing at the crowd. Her eyes met her mother's, who nodded encouragingly. "Well, I guess we can start with, I never thought it was possible for me to love someone so much," Cassandra said. "I always thought that kind of thing belonged in story books and fairy tales, and that reality was a little different, not for girls like me. I'm glad I was wrong. I'm glad I met you. Every day is a new adventure, and I love finding new things about you, good and bad, and I hope that, whenever you experience things that hurt, you won't be afraid to tell me."
Damian was quiet for a moment, smiling slightly. "I wasn't ready for that," he said.
"Wing it," Cassandra whispered.
"Words just aren't enough," he said. "It's fascinating to me how we try to make words convey certain ideas and feelings but it's fairly common that words aren't enough. I thought, for a long time, that I'd be alone forever, because no one could ever love someone like me. I don't make it easy to love me, and I know it, and I'm sorry for that, but somehow you make it seem easy. I can only hope that I can love you back even half as much. ... and I also make fun of you enough to keep your celebrity status from getting to your head."
Cassandra laughed. Didn't he see, that was part of what she loved about him? He wasn't difficult to love at all. It was just a matter of loving all of him, and not just the parts of his personality that were idealistic.
"I think this is the part where you kiss!" Caleb called from the back row. Cassandra and Damian laughed, but they kissed alright.
"AAAHHH, AHHAH, IT'S CASSANDRA GOTH, AAHHH, I'M AT HER WEDDING!!" A thunk sounded as the girl fell over into the grass. Alice, one of the Goths' family friends from Willow Creek, glanced down at her.
"What's her problem?" she asked.
"She's a big fan, can't help it," Morgyn answered, head shaking. Grace had never been quite so... so, before.
"Why her wedding..." Bella grumbled.
Because privacy was an illusion when you were famous, of course.

"Oh my gosh, I love your work," the woman squealed. Cassandra had only been asked to take pictures with probably four or five fans by now. Someone had let it leak she was here, the sanctity of her wedding be darned, apparently.
"Thank you," Cassandra answered. She was too happy right now to be truly annoyed.
"Can I have your autograph?" the woman asked. "Please?"
Cassandra glanced around, looking for Damian. He, it seemed, was taking the opportunity to get to know Alexander, and Cassandra was glad for it. Alexander was almost more of a wallflower than she had been at his age. "Sure," she decided, holding a hand out.
"Oh my gosh!! Thank you!!" The woman handed her a picture and a pen, and Cassandra dutifully signed and returned it. It made her day, and it took only a few moments.
Why not?
"You guys aren't a mafia family, are you?" Damian asked.
Mortimer simply got a very interesting look on his face. Damian paled, and Mortimer laughed. "No," he said. "No that would be the Fengs. Don't tell them I said that."
"Oh." Why was Mr. Goth aware of which rich families were mafia? Then again, maybe it was just a rich family thing.
"And before you ask, the Landgraabs aren't vampires," Mortimer went on. "Despite how vampiric their business methods are."
Damian snorted. "I'll take your word for it." Thankfully, Damian had no experience with the Landgraabs. And he had no intention of having experience with the Landgraabs, either.
"You take care of Cassandra, understand?" Mortimer said.
"I intend to," Damian answered.
"She is more delicate than she shows, and stronger than she knows."
Damian smiled. "Yeah Mr. Goth," he said. "That's part of why I fell in love with her. Her broken pieces and mine aligned in just the right ways as to fit together."
Mortimer tilted his head and smiled. That was the way Mortimer had always hoped someone would talk about his little girl someday.
"FINALLY," Lilith happily declared, jumping onto the treadmill. "I haven't been working out all day. No thanks to someone's wedding taking all day!"
Cassandra snorted somewhere behind her, getting out of her wedding dress and back into normal clothes. "It was a wedding, Lilith," she said.
"And it took all day," Lilith insisted. "I'm getting so close to my fitness goals, I can feel it!"
"If you say so," Cassandra answered. "Whatever makes you feel better. Hey, thanks for being there anyway." Even if her dress was more old-fashioned, she'd looked great in it.
"Of course," Lilith replied. "That's what friends are for. Even if you did keep me out all day."
Cassandra laughed. Of course she wouldn't let that go.
Caleb tilted his head, nodding at something on the table beside Morgyn. "What is that, anyway?"
Morgyn glanced at it. "Ah, it's called a Glimmerstone."
"What's it for?" Caleb asked.
For a moment, Morgyn wasn't sure if answering was a good idea. On second thought, Caleb and Cassandra had been friends a long time. It may not hurt anything. "For returning to Magic Realm," Morgyn said.
"Oh. Cassandra mentioned that place once," Caleb said, thoughtful. "It's like uh, floating islands or something in space."
Morgyn looked bemused. "Or something."
"What's being a spellcaster like, anyway?"
Morgyn smirked. "Want to find out?"
Caleb blinked. "This isn't like becoming a vampire, is it?"
"Not really," Morgyn said. "You can undo it much easier. And what's not to love about being able to freeze paparrazzi when they start really getting pushy?" Morgyn may or may not love to do that.
Caleb snorted. "You can freeze things?"
"And set them on fire," Morgyn answered. "Oh, and fix things. Potions do lots of interesting things, too."
"There are potions?" Caleb asked. "Like, like chemistry?"
"Sort of," Morgyn answered.
"Okay," Caleb decided. "I do want to find out."
Morgyn smiled, and stood up. And maybe if Morgyn was feeling kind later, Caleb might get some... personal magic lessons...
It was kind of silly Cassandra couldn't even go to the museum without a disguise anymore. She remembered back when nobody knew her name. It was much easier to blend in, then. Damian hadn't kept his name, deciding instead to take hers. Cassandra would wonder why, but she did know that Damian had a falling out with he and Morgyn's parents, something about Morgyn. Cassandra hadn't asked beyond that. Whenever Damian wanted to tell her, he would. Until then, that was between Damian and Morgyn.
She should probably go home soon, but it'd been a long time since she could look at the artwork in a museum. She was usually too busy painting and doing coursework.
Ah, how was she going to juggle university and raising a child? Well. There were two parents for a reason, right? Hmm. Maybe she'd go drop in on her family...
"How're you feeling?" Alexander asked.
Cassandra smiled. "Alright," she said. "My back hurts constantly."
"That doesn't sound fun," Alexander said.
"It could be a lot worse," she said. "The part I don't like is the nausea. Morning sickness, they call it, but you can get it at any time of the day."
"Then why is it called morning sickness?" he asked.
"Who knows."
"It's more common in the morning upon waking up," Bella explained. That made sense. Cassandra's story was still that it was stupid.
"You'll make a great mother, Cassandra," Mortimer said.
"Thanks, daddy." At least someone thought so. Most days, Cassandra wasn't so sure herself.

@Morkovka though I'm no Caleb expert, what you wrote about your experiences with him was interesting. I agree he seems the kind of person who can fall in love so easily, but can be fickle without much explanation. Maybe there's something in him that likes being a tease? Or maybe he just can't make up his mind. Now that I have an Attraction system where I get to see who each Sim finds attractive, basic, very attractive, or extremely attractive, it helps, but I'm not so sure it's a static system. Will have to play with it longer because I swore Caleb's kept shifting. Maybe all of them shift with the day and mood and interactions? If so, it's like quicksand for building a house on. But even before I got that mod, seemed like Caleb was a bit of a mystery.

My two cents in the matter of Caleb: he is materialistic and a foodie, two traits that feed his obsession with pretty things and everything food-related. As I see it, it is not that he does not care, he simply lacks the required attention span for prolonged romantic scene. My experience with him is that he is way more manageable when separated from tv and bar, because his desire to mix endless drinks is almost as bad as the cooking shows 24/7
Adding a third party would sure spice things up, for better or worse.

After being released to her father's custody from the hospital on the condition that she enter therapy and rehab, Morgan tried to fit back into her old life, but nothing was the same. It was as if she really had died, and was now back as a ghost in her former life. Or a transplant in her own body. Even if she tried to go back to life the way it was, everyone around her knew. She was the talk of the town! The pregnant teenage OD/attempted suicide! Conversations between people she used to chat with, died down as she walked past. People stared, some with sad eyes and some with suspicion and dislike. But she was now The Other. Even her dad locked himself in his room when he came home, and never met her eyes or talked to her, and Siobhan tried to be supportive but ended up lecturing with told-you-so about hanging with the wrong crowd. Siobhan had ALWAYS been telling her so, warning her to conform, insisting her wayward spirit was a fatal flaw.
Ironically, the only two people she felt like she could talk with now, were Caleb and Gaston. Gaston had been arrested, and Caleb probably hated her guts. She'd never forget how he looked at her when she was being strapped to a gurney. She prayed ardently that she would go ahead and die, so she'd never have to face him again. But that hadn't happened.
All the more reason they had to talk.
Being yelled at would have been easier.
He didn't look up or move as she entered the room.
It was a long time before he spoke.
"Why, Morgan?" He glanced at her with hollow eyes, "Was it true? Were you really trying to die too?"
"Caleb, I.. I'm so sorry! I have to go now!"
She was leaving. It was now or never. He got in front of her.
"Morgan, I'm going to go into hibernation. So this may be the last time you see me."
"Then take me with you!" she cried, "Turn me!"
He recoiled. How could she even ask that of him?
"I'll do it."
Lilith appeared suddenly, moving toward Morgan.
"NO!" Caleb moved at blur speed to block Lilith.

It's such a cute update about your Sims family. I had to laugh when you said Isaiah blew up on Farrah and spent most of the day tormenting his sister, and that there was no reason for it. Then you go on to talk about what a good student she is and how she gets to have her friends come over because she's getting good grades and she even got to play voidcritters with someone and have a group homework session on the weekend. While I believe that Isaiah didn't get to have a single friend over, so maybe that's why he was so crabby to her 😂

Not gonna lie. If it had to be a major character I'm glad it was Bjorn. Not because I hate him or anything, only because he was the oldest. I hate young lives cut short 😫
And perhaps he's better off. He was pretty tortured. He hated not seeing Tiffani and Walter very often. He was wracked by guilt, though as you said, he never apologized - to which I say, technically she wouldn't know at that time that he needed to apologize.
Idk, he ticked me off by saying it was her and her music driving them apart. Talk about a guilt trip. And I don't think there's anyone that he talked to about what was going on in his mind

It's great that Jade and Kendrick are going strong, though I still dislike her for cheating with Bjorn. My philosophy is that people who know a person is married/attached, yet still sleep with them, are as bad as the adulterers themselves. If they didn't agree to do it, well, a lot less cheating.
Of course it's different if they don't know the person is married/attached. They can't be blamed at that point.

Yeah, Thorne knew what to do. And knowing that none of it was Dash's fault made it easier to be kind.
Thorne has reason to be sick of Don hurting people. And...he has the money for a psychiatrist, so get him there.
He needs Don to be healthy, mind and body, at this point.
My advice for the Morg*n issue is to get Morgan together with someone else first. Then breaking up will not bother her as much.
I tried that 3 people together thing once. Penny Pizzazz and two guys.
Personally I could take it, and it was fun and cute until I wanted her to have kids. Then I felt like it was weird. I had her decide by "try for baby" with both, but of course, in my game, they always get pregnant first time. So, I guess I knew who I wanted her with.
Anyway, everything is going so well with Ezra! But I'll bet he never expected himself in the role he's in. Lol
Slow and steady with Bianca seems smart after what happened. And I loved how the woman got Vlad Jr out. Spellcasters to the rescue!! The bowl of fruit was amazing 😅
And Ivy's children are all wonderful. 😊 How many are Simeon's? The youngest 3? Or 4? Lol, I can't keep track. And no curls, that is weird.

Usually, when I start my game, I either continue playing the current family or play a different one for awhile. Now, wanting to know how the University works, I played as the Antoines...or one of them, Jonathan.

Thankfully, he still got a picture of him and his husband, Christian, on their trip from Selvadorada.
Jonathan got along with one of his roommates on his first day, probably because they're both snobs. XD
We had some guests over, and Jonathan wasn't interested in meeting with them, but there was one person he's familiar with. His best friend, Don. Never thought they actually met before.
I jokingly said they would make a cute couple...
...and the game took it serious. They have no romance bar, just a little flirt, and they're both married to someone else.
