Should I buy Aurora Skies or Hidden Springs?

I think both of these towns are beautiful, and I love the aesthetic both of them offer. I've wanted both for a long time, but I've never really had the funds to purchase them. Now that I can buy one, I want to know which one I should get and why.

Note: I already have the majority of the premium objects Aurora Skies has to offer, so I would buy the standard version.

Hidden Sprigns are buyable in Wolrds bundle with Monte Vista i will recommend to buy Aurora Skies is its only for Simspoints. And there is chance sometime there will be good discount for the Wolrds bundle on origin.

On one hand, Aurora Skies probably has more of a noteworthy and unique setting. I've heard it compared to Scandinavian/Nordic countries and Iceland. The sky (the auroras) would add some mood. It has hot air balloons, houses with grass roofs, it seems to include many more items (even without counting the Gold version). The dreary colors (compared to the other) would go against it for me, and the primary color saturated roofs aren't my thing.

Hidden Springs may be less noteworthy, but of the two, it's the one I'd personally be more interested in between these two (I'm really only interested in four of the store worlds and neither of these two are among them, although there's a second category of "sort of interested" consisting of two worlds of which Hidden Springs is a part of). I like its setting more, personally.

That being said, I think I'd probably suggest Aurora Springs. If I were to look at it as liking both equally (whereas I don't, which is why I prefer Hidden Springs), then I'd probably have to consider that Aurora Springs seems to include more new stuff, and in your case, the cost is similar since you'll be passing on the Gold version of it (were this not the case, I might suggest the other). So, unless you have a notable preference for one of the settings (in which case, go with that), then go with Aurora Skies. Only you know the best answer though (if majority says one then your gut says "wait" then maybe get that other); I was going to make a thread a month ago and ultimately decided what to get for myself, so good luck.

The question in the title: "Should I buy Aurora Skies or Hidden Springs?" makes me puzzled since you said in this thread that you've already bought Hidden Springs:

"A bit frustrating considering I just bought Hidden Springs and now I can't even download it."

@KatyFernlily It doesn't look like it's available anymore. Try the download link, I keep getting the 404 error for that world.

Hidden Springs is a pretty world and the premium content coming with it is the fountain of youth. A sin gets a day younger when they drink from it

Dang...I just downloaded it a couple months ago...let me see if I can find a working link. Sorry guys!

Couldn't find a working download link but did send an ask to k-hippie. Hopefully they will answer and fix the link. If not I can ask to share the one I downloaded.

I think a lot depends on what you want from your game. While both are very attractive places for your sim to reside there is probably more to do and see in Aurora Skies. Hidden Springs on the other hand is a fantastic place for anyone who enjoys building. There are some beautiful empty lots on the lakeside and there is something very special about building there so your sim can come straight out of the house and go swim in the lake.

One of the things that put me off getting Aurora Skies was the premium objects. Not so much the day nursery with the playpen and walker but the air balloon. Given what EA could do at the time I think a balloon which only goes a few feet off the ground and doesn't travel very far is a big disappoint. I understand you have most of the premium content from Aurora Skies so you may feel differently about it but in dismissing the balloon as a waste of time I did not feel the day nursery sufficient inducement to buy Aurora Skies. Especially when you consider the Casino which came with Lucky Palms or the Boardwalk from Roaring Heights.

Just to mention... I just looked at the wiki page for Aurora Skies, which above has a little Nordic inspiration...
Two deceased sims are Olaf Oddison (died of Electrocution), and Anna Olsen (died of Old Age). And the pizza delivery girl is Elsa Sparks. I'm getting major Frozen vibes... Which is odd since Aurora Skies came out in in February of 2013 and Frozen came that November...

Looks like the votes are close. Personally, I love the scenary of Hidden Springs. Its fairytale illusions are nice too! The relaxation station is a major redo because of routing issues, but the world itself is beautiful if you love woods, mountains, and lakes.

Aurora Skies has had problems with basements flooding I think and a weird snow discoloration, but otherwise, plays very nicely.

The only reason people got flooded basements was because they used the original dig down method (before we got the basement tool) to make a basement. Use the basement tool you won't have that happen.
I'm just a little bit crazy LOL
Okay actually I'm totally and completely nuts LOL :p
