Urgent, Please HELP: Where Is the Cave of the Forgotten Grotto?

I'm using a mod and there is a situation going on in my game that requires my Sim to drop off the ransom at the Cave of the Forgotten Grotto. I just don't have where it is in my memory banks at this moment.

The life tragedies mod? You can go there through the phone. You don't actually need to get to the place. But it's in Oasis Springs's park and you need 10 handiness skill to open the entrance for it.

Yes! Thing is I thought I had shut off stuff from happening, since I've already gone through a great deal. Their mother was killed in a fire, courtesy of the Arsonist and I'm still playing that save. Are you quite certain my Sims don't need to go there? Will their sister be recovered if they don't? I've changed that lot into a Concert Venue, is why I ask. If she isn't returned I'll have to attempt to go back a save or two, which means I'm further away from their graduation than I am at this point in time. How do they go about going there through the phone? I'm sorry to be so full of questions, but I'm very new to this mod and I'm finding it a bit difficult to figure out. Now, my O/C's life is on the line and her three older brothers are all terrified.

At 15:00 watch. It's actually on the sim itself, not on the phone sorry, but like I said, you don't actually need to get to the cave through unlocking it.

Thank you! Man, the gal in the video got off cheap. The request for Simoleons to get their sister back is §250,000 unless I seriously misread it. No matter Erik is a Proper Celebrity and he's racked up the bucks even while at uni. But, still, things aren't happening in my game as quickly as they did in hers. I paid the initial §5000 and was told where to go to deliver the rest but from there I got nothing. I just re-watched the video, too. May have to view it a third time. There's no option under Life's Tragedies at this point to go deliver the money.

ETA: Correction. It's §25,000 after all. I did misread it. But, I'm not getting the ability to travel there via the phone as in the video. I just had to basically start all over again. Erik just paid another cool §5000 and he was told where he could pick up his loved one, and to bring §25,000 with him. He's got the money, that's not a problem. But up until this point he's been taunted. He received a text message the evening before from Anonymous who basically stated Knock, knock, I'm your worst nightmare. HAHAHAHA. Very rude.

Erik phoned the police. Then the next day (since you have to wait 24 hours to contact the kidnappers) he got the very same message about the §5000. He just paid it. Now, he can't contact them for another 24 hours. I fear my game is stuck in a tape loop. I could pull the piece of cc I recently added, I suppose. That could be the problem. I just want this to be over. LOL But, I'm far too curious to just roll back the game save to 'happier times'. I know, I know, curiosity is what killed the cat. Face/palm.

For others who run into this, the cave entrance is in the Oasis Springs park. Go back up the trails into the hills, and you will see a boarded-up mine entrance. Sims with high Handiness skill can open it up. I do not remember the precise tree of correct choices to reach the grotto when exploring, but there are not too many options to achieve it through trial and error.

That's good for others who haven't changed that lot. I set up the Music Park venue for my potential singer Sim. So, of course, the grotto is no more. That may be my problem right there. I may have no other choice than to roll back to a previous game save to get her back in my game.

It's not on the actual lot, it's in the surrounding neighbourhood. So wouldn't matter if you changed it

Thanks, I finally discovered that with some exploration. Luckily, I didn't have to change the lot back to figure that much out. My Sim still hasn't been able to go rescue his sister. He's now paid out a total of §20,000. I'm wondering if when he reaches the full §25,000, if then he'll be able to click on his sister and be transported to the grotto. He can't try to reach the kidnappers, who go by anonymous, for another 24 hours. The Youtube video made it appear so much simpler, that I find myself confused. It does appear that at a certain point the active Sim can click on Life's Tragedies and through the kidnapping menu reach the grotto. I'm guessing I'm being impatient. It's just that I have played these four Sims at the uni for six days now, hoping to get them to that 12 credit point and graduation. In fact, they are in their last term when this tragedy struck. It's been since yesterday, and I still haven't managed to resolve it. Anonymous keeps sending texts to the different brothers, so the mod is still working. I'm just trying to sort this out. It has added a new dimension into my game, so I'm not griping about it. I'm just puzzled.

If you live in the area with the Landgraabs you can also enter through an entrance behind the Landgraab lot at the bottom the of hill. Just follow the trail to the left of their house as you walk down the hill.

@Sigzy05 For some odd reason, it's not working the same way as the video in my game. The boys have all reached the end of the Term and were invited to throw a party before the graduation set for the next day. They threw one heck of a bash and won a Gold Award in so doing. Dang these Cantrells really know how to get their partay on, even amidst their terror and their grief. I'm very worried about their sister. I realize the boys will have to leave the Dorm. Erik has already paid out a cool §20,000 to get nowhere, fast. I sent them to the cave entrance, just to make sure it was still there. Erik was able to rip off the pieces of wood and enter, but of course his quest isn't a part of the regular game. But, he isn't getting an invitation to rescue her, so far. He keeps having to wait 24 hours in between contacting anonymous (probably so this bad actor(s) can get new burner phones or whatever) but the scenario isn't exactly working out even close to what was presented in said video. I'm at a loss. I suppose I can play forward without Bree, or if that's too tough, I can use a copy of her and reconnect their relationship via MCCC. I haven't yet made up my mind. I figure once I get a chance to play out their graduation I'll see where to go from there. I did remove the latest cc I added recently. You never know what will cause a malfunction. If Brianna doesn't return, I won't have need of Khitsule's Pointy ears. But I will see if that changes anything. It's so weird being stuck in this tape-loop. At least Bree showed up during the party, so I know she's still alive. I took that moment to cheat her needs, too, just to be on the safe side.
