I voted 4, but it was a tough call between 3 and 4 going by the total number of hours played. The Sims 1 would have been next in terms of historic hours played then Sims 2 last. I've never played the Sims Online though.
Sims 4. Don't like Sims 3 (dull sims, stiff animations and just unstable) and Sims 2 no longer works on newer computers and I tried everything, so I mostly just play Sims 4 now.
Sims3 with it's open world and unparalleled amount of content will always be my favorite. When I start a Sims3 game, it's like do I want to babysit, go to China, go to University, live on a house boat, go to a casino, put my toddler on riders, be a interior designer, be a simple stylist, make supernaturals right from CAS using any sim I want easily, go to boardwalk, do all kinds of things with Grim, go to the cemetery, listen to Katy Perry on the sim radio, play a host of arcade games, do chin ups, be a superstar, go to the elixir store, play with infants, collecting small animals/ insects, and so much more.
I do like some things about Sims4 and lately have played it more. I like adoption better because you can pick the child or animal you want. I still haven't done everything in all the games I have yet.
I only play Sims 3. I also have Sims 4 but I haven't opened it for about a year now. And I have the Sims 2 UC and though I would like to try it some more, I heard it's tied to Origin now and trouble and stuff? And I'm having so much fun with TS3 that I don't really feel the urge to see if I can make it work for now. Maybe in the future.
Oh gosh i forgot about that one, i don't really know anyone anymore that still plays hufdskj
I do, when in the mood for it. I have a PC that predates the franchise, upgraded to XP, and is where my TS1 lives. Along with such ancient TS2 games I've salvaged over the years. Have UC on a new machine, so bases are covered.
I really love The Sims 3. It offers a lot more than the other iterations have because of its flexibility and strong gameplay.
I still play TS2 sometimes, as well as The Sims Midieval. I also play MySims occasionally even though it's aimed at young children. I treat it as a casual game for adults and it's pretty fun. I also still have my Game Boy Advance SP and still play Bustin' Out and The Urbz on it.
I don't play TS4 at all because it doesn't fit my style of play. I got it free and don't feel it deserves my money!
Pretty much TS3 exclusively. I loved TS2 but I can't go back to the closed world and lack of story progression. I got TS4 when it was free but still got over it pretty quick, felt like I was stuck doing the same things over and over.

same, I'm a graphics person and i just cant go back to the old graphics that easily.
I've gone back to my first love. Sims 2. I stayed with it well in to sims3 run and tried sims 3 around 2012. It never got near as good as 2 no matter what I added so I looked forward to 4 coming out when they announced it.
And I really felt like it was going to bring a lot of what 2 had to offer back. It felt like it initially, but then as more came out and more got added it became quite evident that is was NOT even going to be 2-Lite.
I've barely played 4 except for fits and spurts over the last couple of years. I am disappointed. I find it to be an awful game except for how pretty it is.
I will play 3 for WA so I can complete that, and then I will put it to rest.
But for actual fun and game play? I've gone back to 2. And I don't care about 5. Not after 3 and 4.
If you mean by the most, what I play these days when I play a game, then Sims4 is it. I played Sims2 everyday since August 2005 when I first got my own copy of it. And while I also played Sims3, daily, I had a love/hate relationship with it. When I first started playing Sims4, days would go by when I didn't play, which was unusual. But, that changed after I started using MCCC. Now I have a few other mods and I play daily. Most especially since GF came out. I'm over 3700 hours, in fact closer to 3800 hours. Suffice it to say my needs have been met and I'm addicted again.
The Sims 3 is the one I play the most. There's just so much to it that it makes me dizzy with happiness. I have Sims 4 and I do play it, but I just can't get into it like I can get lost in Sims 3. Plus, I really do not like sims that do not do what I tell them to, and not to mention all the packs, I mean there are so many that I know that if I had them I'd be able to stay interested in Sims 4 by a margin longer, but I'm not putting my money into them because they don't seem all that worth it. And sure, Sims 3 has the store, but I don't need the store or even the stuff packs to keep myself entertained and interested in the game, and every expansion pack for 3 feels worth it and like good money spent well.

Sims 2 is fun in small amounts, but Sims 3 will always be my favourite.

I play The Sims 3 if I’m burnt out on the above and I play The Sims 4 to see what’s been improved or if someone requests me to make a Sim.
