....don’t do what I tell them to. Just do it because I said so ok? And if you cancel it one more time, I will punish you. You have what you have because of me you spoiled sim. I can also take it away. Grrrrrr

Sorry, this made me laugh a little bit. But, I get it totally.
When you spend all day long getting your four teenagers properly aged up and have them apply for scholarships only to realize once you sign then up to uni, you gave one of them the wrong Major. I had him quit, and sent him back home to live. Still shows he's not started classes. But I use the cheat to debug uni and send him again. Select the correct Major and send him to the dorm to be with his two brothers. He gets there, but he's still in the process of moving out. Say, what? Try it a couple of more times, only to get the same result. Change it out, send the sister, who is the youngest of the four and then try to send the one who quit. Doesn't work. Happily, I found a save close to the time I need. Yikes.
Have to go through their many idle animations before you want them to do something when pressed for time. Especially if they have certain traits AND are vampires. Case in point. My current household. My favorite vamp Aryanna married Caleb Vatore. He had to be at work in a sim hour. Thought I would let them get some woohoo in before he went to work. I paused game to cue action. Unpause. Caleb needs to think about that first. 10 sim minutes later...Oh, ok. Sounds good. Finally...action drops.
Caleb: I’m a vampire so first I need to growl and snarl to the left, growl and snarl to the right, then hiss into the air.
Caleb takes off with his vampiric speed.....wait... the air is on...stops and nods in approval and says “uh, yibsie!....takes off again downstairs to his wife. He waits for Aryanna who has the dance machine trait to finish her dance.
Aryanna: Finishes her bump bump, knee in knee out, hip thrust, bounce. Turns to Caleb
Caleb: Waiting.....
Aryanna: I have the Happy Toddler trait so first let me look into the sky, think about a diaper, nod my head yes and say gibberish.
Caleb: waiting......
Aryanna: I’m also a vampire so I need to......growl and snarl to the left, growl and snarl to the right, then hiss in Calebs face.
Caleb: waiting....
Aryanna: oh, and I’m also a dance machine so I have to.....snap my fingers and bounce to the left, bounce to the right, bounce to the left, bounce to the right. And.. you get the picture.
Finally. He propositions her.
They do the fist pump into the air and cheer and take off.
Wait....again they have to stop in mid vampiric run because the air is on and approve.
By now Caleb is late for work. I cancel their woohoo. Aryanna stands there looking confused. That’s what you guys get. You’ll be lucky if I let you woohoo ever again. Ugh.

Thanks for this delightful story. I needed a good chuckle. But, yeah, they ALL pause way too much before doing whatever task is set up for them to do. It's infuriating.
...are toddlers and demand they get out of the high chair as soon as they're put in, even if their parent is grabbing them some food.
But toddlers don't like to be confined … what gets me more is when one of the parents removes the toddler while the other is getting the foo!
Yeah, that’s true, I just find the high chairs have been buggy since they were introduced.
I still keep them on the lot. However, I do make sure to have at least a bench and/or a dining chair against a wall in the dining room to accommodate the wee ones. Works much better that way.
When they place dishes in odd places in the house; or when they have a perfectly good sink/dishwasher in the kitchen but do dishes in the bathroom sink. Canceling commands and/or not taking care of their own needs. Teenagers having mood swings then doing that over exaggerated pathetic walk. Sims do one day of work and getting the “tense: need a vacation” moodlet...like please, try working a whole year without a vacation.
I have a sim that's obsessed with her garden. Right after her very romantic interactions with her very handsome husband she goes to talk to her plants and the poor guy follows her to try to continue their interactions.

Some of us don't get a vacation but once every several years.

i haven't had one in over 19 years. been at my current job 19 years i took a vacation when i had my last job.
When the sim they are talking to walks away and cancels the conversation I had lined up for them.
When they go to bed even though they really need the toilet or really need to eat or both.

I hear you. That problem is even creeping into mod interactions. My Sim consents to giving a Paparazzi that exclusive interview, and the reporter ups and walks away, microphone and all while my Sim is still speaking … Happily, he still gets the §500.00 for his trouble, but sheesh.

I have that mod and I noticed this happening on one of my sims recently. She got about halfway through her interview and the paparazzi left, but she didn't get paid. Rude!
When they ignore the perfectly good eating area INSIDE, and go OUTSIDE in cold stormy weather to eat their food..
Wash dishes in the bathroom sink, they walk right passed the kitchen sink, that bathroom sink must be special!
I have one Sim that I need to lock the fridge for, otherwise she will eat herself to death, and she never gets the salad.. Always something super fattening, with her hunger need pretty much full.
Lol, I have MCCC, so the water grabbing and washing dishes in the bathroom sink is a non-issue.
However, what really frustrates me is when I WANT the AI to take over, to see what they do or just have no particular plans at the moment, and they stand around for hours doing absolutely nothing. But when I'm giving them orders, heaven help me if I leave a millisecond between orders, cause they'll shove something random in there. Wth?

I find a lot of things frustrating, but I'll just add to yours with something similar.
... When you cancel a holiday as soon as it starts, to be able to avoid it, but your Sim is still sad because it was AWFUL.
*Facepalm*
