Best Practices for Finding Bad mods/cc

Like all of you, I have hundreds of mods and cc. And I often get small bugs or glitches and I was wondering:

What are your best practices for preventing and/or finding bad content? Do you have a special way of saving? Do you use a tracker? Is there a mod that cleans bad mods?!?!

There's a broken mod detector. I let it run, then go through and delete the mods it says is bad. Its on mod the sims.

For mods and game-breaking cc: If you're on PC, then I highly recommend DmitryMalfatto's mod conflict detector! It was literally worked wonders for me. http://modthesims.info/d/561550/mod-conflict-detector-update-03-03-2018.html

For broken and unwanted cc: The Sims 4 Tray Importer by deevo is my favorite way to get rid of cc that I don't want anymore! Just go in cas or build mode and add the cc you want to get rid of to your sim/build, and save it to the gallery. Then close the game, open the tray importer, find your gallery post, and go the cc tab. Click on the cc you want to delete, and it will take you directly to where it is in your mods folder so you can easily delete it. https://luniversims.com/files/file/73-sims-4-tray-importer/

I has MCCC for a while, but it began to glitch. I don't know if it had anything to do with the CC my sims were wearing, but they would not change into their Pajamas when they went to bed, and they would not change to get into the shower. This really started bothering me, so I updated the mod but there was no difference. Now, I just removed the file from my folder, but honestly, I miss MCCC. I don't know what I should do.

There is a help thread for MCCC here: https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/913483/mc-command-center-local-help-chat-thread#latest

I have some cc and with the last couple of updates some of the cc went bad. I'm on a mac and tried downloading the tray importer for mac by L'UniverSims but I can't get it to open. I even tried 'ctrl+click' and tried opening it from my terminal but no luck. Anyone have any other ideas for a tray importer for mac or a way to find broken cc? I'm on Catalina OS, which could be the problem.

If Tray Importer won't work for you, I think you'll have to find the files manually with the 50/50 method. https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/comment/16545624#Comment_16545624

So cool to see all the different methods! I knew there had to be a mod for finding broken cc!

Personally, I have a "Testing" folder and then my mods/cc are all organized. It's FAR from perfect and I have plenty of bad cc but it's still better than the two times I've had to sort through THOUSANDS of loose content!

So ya'll think that Tray Importer is the best for Mac?

I love the idea of a testing folder. I made the mistake of downloading and not organizing so i panicked and deleted them all and just started over. Haha.

Make sure you download the MAC version and you should be good. It's a fantastic tool for broken CC!
