I have a sim who was a landlord. I am now playing her but I noticed in her friends list she had sims that are still tenants. Is there a hidden trait I need to remove from her and if so what is it?
@keekee53 there is indeed a hidden trait, though i'm surprised it doesn't vanish if the sim is made playable. and according to the mod i use to check this, there's another trait you may want to get rid of, too (is_repair) just in case it wasn't auto-cleared
following screenshot is all the hidden traits on my game's landlord:

hmm...that ghost trait caught my eye. does that mean there's a way to start out with a ghost if we figure out the right/wrong combination to get that trait through cas story?
ya know, i was expecting more to show up in here. thanks, @LeGardePourpre
i guess the various strengths of 'magical bloodline' or whatever it's called will count as reward traits instead of hidden or something
also, just noticed that a new story sim i created today came out with the social media career, which doesn't appear on the list of career hidden traits in the story patch update. wonder how many other sneaky ones there may be like that
there are a lot more hidden traits in the realm of magic pack, as we're all still discovering, of course. will be listing some of the ones i've been playing with and any notes i might have found as to their purposes... starting with the sage-related, since i know some people want to put their own sims into those positions
so, for creating your own sage without just editing one of the existing three, you'll need a handful of things. one, ensure the sim is not marked as played yet is on your lot so you can cheat the traits onto them. knowing their sim id helps, but you can get that with a cheat if you know their name
the cheats are as follows (legardepourpre has posted this elsewhere, but best to have them again)
sims.get_sim_id_by_name [First name] [Last name]
traits.equip_trait [Traits] [SimID]
an example is:
sims.get_sim_id_by_name John Doe
traits.equip_trait Clumsy 329330112625249404
the sages need two hidden traits and one reward trait, as follows, reward trait listed first:
trait_MagicSage_Mischief
trait_Magic_Fixups_Spells_MagicSage_Mischief
trait_Magic_Fixups_Potions_Sage
the example i used is the mischief sage, since that's the one i was testing. just replace 'mischief' in those codes with 'practical' or 'untamed' as needed. all three sages need the potion sage trait, though, or they can't teach other sims potions
after you cheat those onto the sim you want to be a sage, go into manage worlds and either delete or move the current sage into a played household and kick the new one out of any house they may currently be living in (and, again, ensure they're not marked as played). to ensure things work, i load into the house of the now-former sage so they do lose their traits. then when you next load into the realm, your replacement sage should be there doing their new job
screenshot of my tester sage, in all his new glory:
as for other hidden traits, here's what i've discovered so far:
every single realm of magic premade has two traits unique to them, one unique to all the premades, one unique to each individual premade
the trait they all share is
trait_Hidden_SpellcasterPremade
so far, in my limited testing (putting it onto 3 different sims, one my sage in the previous post, one played, one unplayed) it seems to ensure they keep their everyday outfit when they're traveling in the realm of magic, instead of rolling the randomized outfits like most sims do
the unique traits for each individual include the likes of
trait_Magic_Fixups_TomaxCollette
trait_Magic_Fixups_GraceAnansi
trait_Magic_Fixups_MinervaCharm
the only three exceptions to these are the three sages. and i honestly can't figure out what the traits do, since equipping them onto random sims don't show any results. i'm sure someone who actually goes through the game files can see if they're intended to do something...
other traits are as follows:
spellcaster (trait_Occult_WitchOccult) shows up on every spellcaster sim
spellcaster (trait_Occult_WitchOccult_Manifested) shows up on every spellcaster teen and older
trait_WitchOccult_Broom_Walkby seems to be a temporary hidden trait for sims to use the broom to travel while in the realm
the following traits have several levels to them, and the levels always seem to be paired. these are the traits given either to existing sims in your 'other households' list or randomly generated sims to fill out the realm of magic. sims made spellcasters in other ways (created yourself, downloaded from gallery, spawned at the bar in glimmerbrook) will not have these traits and therefor will not count towards the number of them the game seems to want to see in the realm of magic
i've also seen several sims with
trait_Magic_Fixups_Perks_MagicVenueNPC but not yet sure what it does
and last up from what i've seen, the vendors at the market stalls have the following trait to look like ghosts while on the job in the realm. when they run stalls elsewhere they'll look like their normal selves
first, most important one the trait_Magic_Fixups_MagicVenueNPC_Intermediate is actually trait_Magic_Fixups_Spells_MagicVenueNPC_Intermediate ...i missed the 'spells' in that. sheesh. same goes for the novice version
also, the intermediate and novice traits seem to teach the sims a smattering of potions and spells automatically
similarly, the named traits for the premade spellcasters seem to have preset spells/potions for each individual
and then, on the 'spellcaster premade' trait and the outfits... it only seems to work if the sim was given the trait before they set foot into the magic realm. if they'd already been to the realm, they've already rolled up a randomized outfit for the realm and will show up in that (or keep randomizing if it's got rom clothing) despite having the trait added
If you didn't know yet already, instead of having to brew the potion of immortality, you can simply apply any sim to be immortal by applying the Immortal trait on them through cheats. Simply type in Cauldron_Potion_Immortality after typing traits.equip_trait.
However, it only makes them biologically immortal, just like turning aging off in settings. They can still die from most other deaths.
Edit: The Immortal trait actually is supposed to keep them from dying from Old Age only, but they're supposed to still age.

Awesome! Thank you, I have a few elders that I want to keep around.

The Sims 4 General DiscussionYes. Some of us find this very interesting. In a way, it's the genetic basis for Sim behavior and psychology.

And while many people have contributed to this encyclopedia of knowledge, LeGardePourpre has been in the forefront of psychoanalyzing our sims.
Awesome! Thank you, I have a few elders that I want to keep around.
Actually, this is actually a misconception on my part sorry, but it seems that how immortality actually works is that they will still age to Elder but are supposed to be protected from death by Old Age only. However, according to this bug thread, your game might not keep them immortal: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/NEEDS-SAVES-ROM-Sims-dying-of-old-age-despite-immortality-potion/m-p/8227835#M105740
I just simply modded the Immortality to what I prefer honestly. The way they made it is unsatisfactory to me.
