Due to prepping for a convention this week, Clanbuilding's newest chapter will have to postponed until November 15th. I'm a bit annoyed at myself that I couldn't pull it together, but I'm running five different panels at this thing, and it's completely consumed all my time. I'm looking forward to sharing the next chapter. In the meantime, I did do a little spooky piece for the SimFic Monthly Challenge, though it's unrelated to the Clanbuilding plot:
@GlacierSnow Aww, thank you! Yeah, it was fun when the idea both occurred to me and I realized I hadn't done anything in the plot at that point to contradict it.

I'm happy to say the scripts for all the remaining chapters (there will be 31 total) are written and I'm slowing getting back into the process of screencapping them. (I had a nice cushion for a while, until I started putting out chapters faster than I was making new ones.)
So not quite the big ending yet but closing in on it. I really hope you'll enjoy it.

I tried to work on these over my kids' holiday break, but it didn't happen. On the upside, through, they played University together with me and we all made Sim-selves, which was lots of fun.

I definitely do know how it goes. Story I'm writing has vampires, and aliens, and cops, and probably pirates... This is what's awesome about The Sims. Lets you play like you're a kid again without all that silly grown-up logic and stuff.
For the record, I think you're doing a great job of building to a climax here. Kyle seems to have a knack for getting involved in some weird situations. I like where this is going.
@GlacierSnow Aw, thanks. That means a lot. And I agree; that throw-logic-out-the-window fun is often what keeps me coming back to the game.
It's pretty cool how much characters can change and grow as you write them. I originally intended Kyle to just be this goofball on the sidelines who never contributed much to the overarching plot, but he's had a hand in just about every major turn. Great chapters! I think the witty way you poke fun at the game through the characters' dialogue is one of my favorite aspects of this story. I loved the part about the fruits and seeds and the cost of making the drinks. And Kyle just cracks me up. He would like being brainwashed and mind controlled.
@GlacierSnow Thanks! I've actually started playing my comic game file since the story is almost over, and brainwashed Kyle is just fun. He's currently a politician (he joined the career when I took the screenshots for chapter 11 so he could protest selling the TVs.) Now he's taken up the cause of "Speak for the Trees." Anything for Mother.
