It's definitely a pack I'm quite excited about, mainly because I haven't played university in any of the earlier sims franchise. But I'm going to wait for a sale before I do buy it.
I want to get it. I am kind of waiting to see if it is as bare on new gameplay as Island Living though. That EP had a lot of promise but they just gutted it of any longevity in gameplay. I spent a day enjoying the new stuff and career in that EP and then it was pretty much over. I really hope University is not like this. My biggest concern is that they won't extend dorm living throughout all neighborhoods and let us build that type of living situation anywhere else. We already know the bicycle will not be usable outside the new neighborhoods and I hope dorms are not like that. I've been waiting for them to let us build apartments. It's such plum that we have one world with apartments and can't make any more. A college EP is the perfect time for apartments and roommates.
Not being able to use bikes outside of the pack is an minus for me and as usual has restrictions tied to it like all the other packs do and why I do not pay full price and pay what I feel it is worth. As far as dorms goes quite sure there may be some kind of restrictions on that as well.

I'm pretty sure this will be the first pack I won't buy. University just isn't my cup of tea, and the new features shown in the trailer didn't catch my interest. But never say never, right?

The sims team can have more of my money when (if) they deserve it. They keep pumping out shallow packs and charging full price for them.
I’m not buying this pack and I’m not letting anyone else spend money on it for me. My friends and family know I loved the sims, but I’ve been telling them not to buy any sims content for me since Island Living.
I’d rather spend my money on amazing games and DLC content put out by developers who genuinely work to please their players.
Yes, but Im not pre-ordering (I dont see the point) nor am I immediately buying. Same with Island Living, Im going to be waiting at least a few days to see how the general consensus is before I decide if its worth the $40 or if Im better off asking for it for Xmas.
I plan on getting it mostly for the robots, so I'll be waiting for a sale. I'm assuming the college experience in this game is going to be very repetitive so I'll probably only send a few sims in my legacy to college if I plan on putting them into a career that would absolutely need it (like being a doctor). I'm not going to play with the actual colleges super often, but I do want to have a robot permanently in my family b/c I just like all the occults in the Sims.
Though if the new careers that come in this pack are also active careers like Get-to-Work and not just rabbit holes, then that changes my opinion on this whole pack in general and I might want to get it sooner rather than waiting for a sale.
Even though it doesn't amount to much, I feel more comfortable not investing any more money into this game as I'm not a proper fan of it. I play the game occasionally, but for me to continue buying packs while fully knowing how dissatisfied I would be... it's ridiculous. Wouldn't even do this for the completion, let those pack icons stay missing.
I've wanted uni for so long, so I'm fairly certain it'll be a yes. I'm also looking forward to seeing the livestream because I am hoping that there's a decent amount of content in this pack.
Never been a doubt about it. Not my first choice or third, but have always wanted this pack for Sims4. Just because I wanted other stuff more doesn't mean I don't really want this. I always liked sending my sims off to college after I stocked up on shower in a cans, best friend potions, energy potions, ect. Otherwise, it was too chaotic.
Farming, wedding planner, housebuilder/interior designer, new exercise equipment we've not had previously, cars, new toddler stuff(riders, babydolls, passies square and round, blankie, playpens, strollers, swings, walker, float for pools and ocean, lights and sound toy that spins on floor, fasten in on high chair that keeps them from getting down when simmers don't want them to get out of the highchair, backpack to carry toddler, and all kinds of toys), infants freed(passies square and round, playpens, strollers, swings, slings, car seat, rattle, small plush, teething ring, keys, their own CAS with onsies, suits, caps, bonnets, cloth hats, diapers, booties, gowns, mini tops to go with diapers, sleepers, hand mittens, ability for infants to scratch themselves, ect. are the things I wanted more. Also, more options in multitasking more than one sim when not playing the other sims. Sims3 rules on that one all the way.
Very excited they have more than one college. I think that makes for some different play. Sims from rival schools dating. Quitting one; going to another. Sims making a decision on which college is best for their future. I like choices. Shower woohoo and bikes are things I wanted back in the game. Pong table will be a nice addition if we ever...........get arcade games back so I can make my own arcade place. I always loved making arcades especially putting them in the cake dome or in the casino. Extremely excited for bathroom stalls also as I used them constantly in Sims3 when making other places or upgrading lots. For some reason, I wasn't crazy about the clothes. Maybe that will change when I see the livestream.
Things I'm still hoping for in this pack is space savers, new drink/snack machines with different stuff than the last ones, murphybed/in the wall, couchbed, bunkbeds, teacher/dean jobs, enjoyable play as a teacher and as a student, a hidden door for the science stuff that isn't locked to a career and able to be picked right out of BB with no cheats ect. Not into bots too much, but I do hope they are really nice looking. Maybe a trash bonfire? I'm hoping the roommate stuff is real good. I'm hoping this will be a huge point of interest for me. It all should be updated and an update to CityLiving. Looking forward to livestream and hoping there are many surprises.
I feel I need to know a bit more about some things, but I am definitely more interested in this pack than the magic one, so I will most probably get it eventually.
But I will wait for sales or the Black Friday. University is so essential on The Sims franchise and I don't understand why we have it only in 2019. November 2019. Anyway

I've always loved Sims 3 University, so I'm looking forward to playing Sims 4 Discover University.
Also, they finally made two universities that are contrast to one another, they brought back the keg & bicycles.
Furthermore, there's finally going to be a Teacher Career.

My Top 5
Its certainly not worth paying full price for.
I don't think Get Famous was shallow..

Same and agree completely.

The way TS4 is does not justify anything to me to get excited for old content.
