I'd be very surprised if bikes are available outside of university.

My poor self has already entered 6 different giveaways for this. I want it soooo, so badly. I've been waiting for this since I bought the sims and the trailer makes the pack look promising.

I'm mostly curious about the world. I know the quick shots aren't really that revealing, but it looks big. I wonder if the actual universities are in their own separate "worlds" like the Get to Work career lots, though. Either way, I'm excited with what I've seen so far.

I wish you good luck with the giveaways! You may have already entered that one as well, but Pixelade is doing one too :)

People always say this and most of the time - ocean swimming aside - they're wrong. Sure we won't know til then, but I think my sims will be riding their bikes around BB :)

Ocean swimming, apartments, the hospital, the police HQ, the film studios - all locked to one world. I'm not getting my hopes up for bikes.

Not everyone who plays Sims 4 played any of the previous versions. So this is all new to them.

No drums or electric guitars. That means no bands, welp color me disappointed. I feel like we'll never get them now. Guess EA doesn't want to take the time to do those animations. I'd rather have bands than "juice pong" Oh well it is what it is. I am a little more than mildly excited for this pack. I just wish EA would add something new instead of recycling what's already been done in TS2 and TS3. Of course I haven't seen everything yet so hopefully there will be something that makes TS4 university stand out from the previous two versions.

Won't stop you, but there are many counterexamples as well. And the most consequential one, in this case, would be aquazips. If we can use those in pools large enough in other worlds, I'd be amazed if we couldn't use bikes. These kinds of gameplay objects have never been limited.

It looks so overwhelming. I've never played other Sims versions, so University expansion is completely new to me. I hope there will be a live stream about the game play.
I wonder if those bicycles are only working on University lots.

I can't believe it took THIS LONG to get proper bathroom stalls in the game...We've be doing makeshift stalls with tiny rooms and normal doors for, like FIVE YEARS now...and we FINALLY have proper stalls for public toilets. Why did it take this freaking long? That should have been in the base game, and ya'll know it. And that line, "Bet you didn't see this coming?" Is that a poke at the fact that this pack's existence was revealed by data-miners almost a month before the official reveal, or a bad joke referring to how "University" was basically guaranteed because it's been a staple pack since TS2 and most simmers enjoy what this theme has to offer for YA sims...? Either way, it was neither clever nor funny. Sorry, marketing team.

Ahem! Anyway, looking forward to robotics and bikes. Really, that's the only stuff I'll be buying this pack for, since I doubt all of the social interactions and activities shown will actually be as fun and exciting as advertised. Now...Werewolves, when?

    That was...kinda salty 😅

Yeah, I guess it was. But, you've got to admit, five years is a long time to wait for something as basic as bathroom stalls in a life simulator game. Plus, I've been waiting on werewolves since launch, and I'm getting grumpy, especially after spending time with TS3's werewolves and being annoyed with how poorly they were done both aesthetically and functionally.

...And, that line was CORNY!!! So, so, much corn...I couldn't let them live that down.

I do hope that we can make true androids with robotics this time, though. Servos/Simbots are cool and all, but there's so much you can explore if you can make a bot more similar to Data or Mega Man...

I like the design of the two universities, but as another poster said previously, this feels like what we've gotten in the past, more or less, mainly because all we've seen from this trailer are objects brought back from the past.

I'm more curious to see gameplay than objects in an expansion pack. Is there a functional dorm system like TS2? Are roommates going to be NPCs? Are we going to be able to visit other dorms without a loading screen in the same building? Or are the dorms recycling the half-baked apartment system of City Living? What's going to be done to differentiate classes from the other University packs? I wish trailers touched more on things like this instead of the TS3-style of trailer where all we see are objects.

They got the look of far-left, socialist loving students down with the CAS items and piercings. I wonder if we'll see some majors to reflect the state of most useless courses people are picking now. I'm seeing science and technology which are far too useful and routed in common sense for most millennials.

I’m not socialist nor a student and on the far end of millennials, if I can be counted as one, even, and still I look and dress like that. This comment is pretty insulting. What does it add?

From a design standpoint, I'm equally bummed as everyone else about the lack of bunk beds/loft-style beds, and somewhat about the lack of the previously amusing Murphy bed. As someone else said, these are going to be some cramped looking dorm rooms! My only real game play concern is who can or cannot go to college. My hope is that teens or young adults and up will be able to enroll. I'd like to see adults and seniors take advantage of going back to school. If I could send my adult Sim-self back to college to complete her education degree, that would be awesome! (especially if she can live on her home lot and "commute" to classes)

I'm absolutely jazzed about facial piercings though, I have to say. I worked really hard playing a clean game (for once, in all my years of playing all four game versions!) recreating all of my loved ones, and now they can be fully accurate and truly diverse looking.

If bikes really do apply to Sims outside of University, I implore the mighty game developers to please give the toddlers and children big wheels and tricycles. That would be adorable as all heck.

I wonder if we can make our own dorms? Now that would be good for making apartments for scratch. B) If I pre order from origins will the money be taken out of my account there and then or will it come out on day the pack comes out? Thanks.

I hope they are allowing mature students again. I forgot to look for adults and elders whilst watching the video. It looks fun so far though.

It does look promising because they made the bikes work on the sidewalks instead of roads like in previous games, so I could see that possible as even part of the update - but the bikes do look just adult size unless they add some smaller ones if the include bikes in other worlds as sims use the sidewalks in all worlds - so they could do that. Maybe even part of the update before the game comes out. It would be a sweet surprise if they do. Wishful thinking if sims could also use them on paths and in vacation worlds.

At 0:14 the building where the girl parks her bike...are those two story windows??
Edit: Nvm, looks like they just used the largest wall😅😅 looked like it was a smaller wall and and a large wall on the same level for a second but that wouldn’t make sense
