That was no hint at all. Well, as much as the earlier hint. But he didn’t confirm.

He did however say we would know soon enough with a winkie face. I think 2 or 3 weeks.

I bet game changers know a little something. They probably would have gotten their invites for the expansion event. Considering they would have to make travel plans/pre record videos.

Every time I see this thread title I get all excited! I feel like it's a safe bet, but I'm still hoping for official confirmation. I'm dying for this pack! 🌈

Apparently, saying it's confirmed when it's not is "no biggie". So when players read CONFIRMED only to find out it's not, I guess they'll just have to get over it. It would be funny if it's not Uni, but something else. :D

It would NOT be funny if the EP wasn't University. It would be a sucker punch to those that have been waiting a very long time to get this expansion. I'm going to feel better once there is an announcement, but it'd be really upsetting if it wasn't university.

All these new packs appear to be very rushed through. No wonder we are getting so many bugs. If the rumour is true I expect we will get that and then a large Patch before Christmas.

I remember when the complaint was that content wasn't coming out fast enough. Now its too much :D This "community" is forever unsatisfied.

simply because we were spoiled by loads of content and gameplay which the previous games had to offer and have now been getting lesser, short-lived, no replay value, recycled and lazily done DLCs that are not just worth the agonizing pain of waiting in TS4 apparently.

that explains the discontent and dissatisfaction. :D

No, like I said, this "community" keeps going back and forth. One moment, the packs weren't coming out fast enough and now they are being released too often. It's the flipping back and forth.

If the other game has the better content to this day, to you, then just play [/b]that game.

It still amazes me the other games actually do have better content pack vs pack, quality vs quality, and gameplay mechanics vs gameplay mechanics. When I bought an EP in those games I actually got EP quality and content/gameplay. These days I'm sold a GP at an EP price. Or a GP with reused assets from the base game. Or a stuff pack with content I can't use unless I buy an EP to make it work/use. Odd. And those games are twenty, fifteen and ten years old. Some so old the pcs won't play them since Windows 10 blocks SafeDisk from being able to load a cd or dvd. Not without finding ways around MS' push to make us all buy online and manipulate a consumer to have to download anything and everything from online service rather than to use a disc. I sit and wonder who all was in those meetings the day MS decided discs are dead and we all need to be on line all the time. I'm sure some big game companies were in those meetings, too.

It was TS4 players complaining about the dry spells that lasted months at a time, and the lack of communication. It's still the TS4 players who are complaining the packs are lack luster and rushed this past year (and I can see why) when fifteen bugs appear after installing a patch to add some free content and one bug fix.
It's not the players of the older games doing so much complaining but those who buy everything for TS4 that seem to be having all the problems, since gamers who play the other games left a long time ago. Those of us still here complaining actually play it now and then. Go figure the community that buys everything are actually the ones complaining and not those who have left to go back to older games for good.

And this is why I don't really understand everyone 'waiting' for the Sims 5, and expecting something better than what we are getting. To be fair, I'm happy with The Sims 4 because The Sims 3 really annoyed me by the end, and anything was better than that.
But I would still say that The Sims 2 was the best installment and I would go back if my laptop would play it. I just hope the TS4 university expansion saves it for me, as I had always got this EP for both 2 and 3 and enjoyed the game more as a result.

I bet they'll reskin the Freelancer career to use as a University "career", but instead of choosing/changing the freelancer trade, you'll be choosing/changing the degree. And then you'll have different "gigs" or assignments for the different degrees. Having higher skills will unlock assignments that grant you higher performance and therefore better grades.

It would be cool if this time they'd make it so that there's rewards for getting into the dean's list and such besides just cash.

It would be cool if they included interests with this EP so that sims can have better options when socialising with each other which is always one of the big points in a University EP.

I hope we get to see the return of the billiard tables, juice kegs, ground hot tubs, sports parties, the llama mascot NPC (not a reskin version of the llamacorn from the athletic career in the BG), and it would be awesome if they included cars and garages here too.

LGR seems to believe they ll reskin the freelance career for Universities as well.

I'd love it if there a journalism degree and a reporter career added.

technically there is a journalism career; its one of the branches of the writing career and you do interview people to write articles on.

I was hoping for a degree in college where your sim could study to become a TV news reporter. With a GF tie in to fame, it might work well together. There could be a college TV station like we had a campus radio set up in S3.

I mean, it was obviously next so this isn't a surprise or anything, but Discovering University? Weird title :|

    It’s slightly better than:

    Get Educated
    Get To University
    Get a Diploma
    Get To School

    The surveys got :
    University:
Strive for academic excellence! Women’s clubs and fraternities, secret societies and sports clubs can help you build strong professional relationships, but only if you have your diploma! Choose a specialty follow the course and write memory, all in harmony with an active social life.
University - Send your sims off to University!
Explore the University campus and decide whether your Sims are going to study to ace their exams or spend their days partying it up.
Sims can also pledge fraternities and sororities and try to become members of these prestigious organizations.

The Sims 4: Get In Student Loan Debt

There's that realism that everyone wants so badly.
    Sim: "I'm starving!"
Player: *instructs sim to prepare meal* "Then eat something, you little goofball!"
    Sim: *starts cooking meal*
    -5 seconds later-
Sim: *Stops cooking meal* "I'm so hungry!"
    Player: *head hits desk*

I so hope we get all of this. I'd love it if this was the one pack where we have no limitations and nothing is left out. Wishful thinking but hey I can dream.

These surveys are a few years old and only seemed to be rough ideas, e.g. this was the survey for Cats & Dogs which included horses and pet careers.

We could tell the same thing about Island Living and surfing + hotel
    The Sims 4 Summer Holidays
The school is over and it’s time for your Sims to relax and enjoy the sun in The Sims 4 Summer Holidays. Choose your accommodation then go to the beach to make a sand castle or participate in a Hawaiian party. Tuck the waves on a surfboard or relax, pick up shellfish and discover unseen marine plants and animals.

Choose your accommodation – The Sims can rent a cabin on the beach, buy a holiday home on a cliff or go to a luxurious hotel with a view of the sea. Make fun activities at the beach Enjoy the sun and go to the beach to build A sand castle, a campfire or learn new dances during a Hawaiian evening.

Surfing – Make a hang-ten and fight with your surfing skills. Choose your surfboard and improve your skills to become a surfing legend and a local celebrity.

Explore the beach – Stroll along the beach where you can pick up rare marine plants and animals, discover new colorful corals and maybe even cross the legendary mermaid at sunset.

    I found a pre-order on a Dutch website: https://livekaarten.nl/the-sims-4-discover-university-dlc-pc/afd-google-shopping/?gclid=CjwKCAjw5_DsBRBPEiwAIEDRWw7ycdsKkeuV_wFOAIGAE0ryLknV4UVk0m8P-t00fh2kPW0ObOeqDhoC8b8QAvD_BwE

It’s obvious that the picture and title are placeholders. However, the site is legit and I have ordered games from them before.

Edit: found another Dutch website and a Norse website with the same pre-order date! And I chatted with one their helpdesk employees and they confirmed it is university-themed!
