Adding posts to the start of a thread

I have been making a list of chapters and babies in the original post of my 100 baby challenge thread. Unfortunately today when I tried to make the list of children longer, I was unable to save my changes to the post because I had exceeded the word limit.

I should have foreseen this difficulty and reserved several posts at the the beginning of the thread. But, I didn’t.

I know asking this is a long shot as the moderators have better things to do, but is it possible to add some blank posts to the very beginning of my 100 baby challenge thread so that I can continue to list all the children and chapters at the start of the thread? Could a moderator perhaps do this for me?

Hey @MaggieMarley - I should be able to help with this, as long as you don't mind the dates of those posts to be a bit weird. How many posts do you think you will need?

Thank you so much @EA_Mai I didn’t expect this would actually be possible - you rock! I wouldn’t mind the dates of the posts being a bit weird at all

I’d say I would like an three additional posts at the start (that may end up being more than I need but I want to be on the safe side so I don’t end up having to ask again and waste more of your time)

I tried to do this, but you were right, it's not possible. I thought creating new posts and merging them would do the trick, but only one post (the opening post is special) remains at the start - the rest get added to the end as they are more recent.

An idea: maybe you could use these posts for the content you want to add? They are not exactly at the start of the thread, but pretty close

@EA_Mai I can see that you added a post right at the start of the thread before my original post. That is great! I can just copy and paste evrything I have in my original post to the new post and then continue my list of chapters and babies in what used to be the first post of the thread (hope that makes sense!)

I definitely wouldn't want you to get rid of the post you added at the start. That looks like it will be very useful (thank you so much!)

So what you're saying is that you cannot add any more than one post at the start of the thread? That's ok! Having one extra post at the start may be enough. I just asked for more to be on the safe side (although if there is a way to add another post or two at the start like you did with the one you just added that would be awesome - no worries if it's not possible, though!).

Hope one is enough then! You should be able to edit it as usual.

Yes, that's what I was trying to explain and I was not aware of: it's not possible to add more than one. All the posts in the topic with the exception of the opening post are ordered chronologically no matter how I try to trick the system - so when I add another one, the one that's on top right now gets moved to the end of the topic
