I just downloaded the ultimate edition from Origin and it keeps crashing. Is there anything I should do to make it compatible with Windows 10? Also, I'm sure there was a way to make it 1920x1080. Can anyone help me please?
Also I would patch the game with the 4gig patch so it uses more than the 2 gig memory. I linked Jessa's video which covers how to check to see if the patch has been applied and how to apply it. She also has the link to the patch in the section below.
I'm having the same problem with crashing and pink textures everywhere. I've done all the fixes I've found and none of them have worked for me. Perhaps the game just won't run with my system :(

I have tried this multiple times to get it to install with no luck. The 4gig patch that is. No problem with the graphics rules maker.
Hoping my last windows update fixed the crash problem this time around.

I know this is late, but I thought I should comment on this anyway. That 4gig patch doesn't work on my computer. The game wouldn't load after I put that on it. I've now changed the way I play due to the crashing after an hour of play. What I do is save every few minutes (yeah, a real pain) and then quit and start up again after returning from a community lot or changing families. I hate what Windows 10 has done to this game, but this is the only game, after all these years, that I really enjoy and get lost in, so it's worth the trouble.
@windweaver I have to do the save thing as well. Since a previous update I could no longer get the patch to work. And I agree I really enjoy 2 as well and have gotten lost a few times. LOL Good thing I am now retired and don't have to worry about early morning alarms.

Hi, I love ts2! I am playing some sims now that I have never played before in all the years I've been playing. I just had a family with Joe Carr, and now I'm using Ivy Copur and she married Peter Simms and what a cute kid they had! I would have never believed it possible. But still I'm saving every 10 minutes or losing everything to a crash when I forget to do so. Grrrrrr

Might have gotten it automatically or reached EA prior to them ending support for it.
