Sims Ideas for the future, best and worst in Sims games

I know there is no sign of any game past Sims 4 at the moment but when we were playing 3 I remember threads saying what we'd like in 4. I remember suggesting early on in Sims 3 that new life forms only come in a pack, a Supernatural EP, to enable players to decide if they want this feature, it happened, except for Mermaids, in 3. I thought I'd start a thread where we can say best and worst in all the sims games to give the developers something to think about for the future. No need to be horrible about any game, just some feednack for developers to think about please, Let's try to keep this thread on the board.

The worst two things across the board for me in Sims games are:
Having horrible clothing that we are totally unable to delete. Is it that hard to make the installation of the game allow us not to install certain things, like install the world, set or EP, but exclude the clothing? Or to allow us to delete the clothes we hate? In Sims 3 I hated seeing Sims ice skating in fairy dresses so much that I uninstalled the EP, unfair because there were build items I liked in Supernatural and they never seem to go into the store to just buy separately, I'm thinking of the roof gables, a build item I'd have bought from the store.

The timing has been an issue since the beginning of time, in all Sims games, if modders can sort this then why can't EA? Sims taking half an hour to walk downstairs for breakfast is ridiculous, how long it takes for them to make the bed, then the time it takes to make breakfast, then use the toilet and shower. To get a Sim out the door for work for 7 am means a 3.30 am to 4 am wake up. I have never mastered getting Sims to go out socialising at night, they come home from work, make dinner, eat dinner, wash dishes, toilet and showered and it's 10 pm, time for bed for that 3:30 rise. Doing the socialising at the weekend isn't any easier because you have to spend days not in work upgrading appliances not to break down every time you use them, why can't we just buy cheap items that break and better quality ones that don't? This actually spoils the game for me so much that I end up switching the game off.

The annoyances in game, this has been said before. Things like clapping when they get their favourite meal, this might be funny the first couple of time you see it but not after 3 times, this has forced me to change their favourites to things I never let them cook. The coughing/choking when they eat. Don't add things that seem funny and clever to developers while building the game, think about how irritating they are after seeing them 100 times.

I'm actually thinking that without all the annoying wee animations the game night run more smoothly.

The group up thing not including children in Sims 3 is a nightmare, children going home on their own. Curfews, not all countries have this so why have it in a game, irritating after seeing it twice.

They can drive cars but they don't need fuel?

Best things for me are:
Universal ageing Sims 3
CASt Sims 3
Open world Sims 3
The building in Sims 3
The AI for Sims in Sims 2
The gameplay in Sims 2
The vacations in Sims 2 and of course the dances like Hula, the smuzzle, which the Sims all did in sync.
Open for business in Sims 2, where sims could not only own a business but actually work there, Savvy Seller (sims 3) was a fail for me and I bought it hoping it would be more like Sims 2 OFB.
Having to actually go shopping for food and clothes in Sims 2. This is more realistic, they could also buy online via their PC's and get a delivery.

I could go on but I think this is big enough, and I'm sure others will add their feedback, just please be nice about it, ranting and feedback are two different things.

I'd like story progression back. Next time though, with a toggle, then the people that want to use it can and the people that want to micro-manage every household can.

I'd also like to see a colour wheel return. I know it caused a lot of bloat for TS3 but maybe we could just have it for skin and hair, like we did with pets. I think that would keep a lot of people happy and stop some of the complaints from people who do feel excluded from representation.

I would much prefer to use CASt for object recolouring than hair for Sims, I would hate to have to go back to having a dozen of the same item in recolours, which is what is happening in Sims 4. Recolouring and personalising my game is very important to me, as is the ability to use patterns

Sims 3 had a toggle. But it doesn't work properly. Anyway, i wouldn't want jsut a toggle, i want a whole customizable options menu like I can do using MCCC or NRASS.

I'd like hair that grows like in sims castaway on console. I enjoyed sims life stories, so it would be quite good to have that as an option.

I don't remember TS3 having that toggle... but likely because it didn't work properly :D clearly mine was always on...

Having the whole MCCC or NRASS would be nice, but I was trying to be realistic of what they would give us. ;)
