I might start with a makeover of the Salon & Tattoo place... change up the salon and move the tattoo place either to the basement or up a floor, so the building can keep it's shape.
Wherever the grocery store is, and the consignment shop, I wanna do a combination consignment/grocery/toy shop. I got the buy/sell anything that goes in a Sim's inventory mod so that'll help.
As far as my sim family is going, kept crashing today so not much progress.
Juliette is closer to getting her job as Private Investigator.
Aleah will be a child in 1 simday 😀 I'll see about her getting a little sibling... I really want to see how it'd look with Dex & Valentina's genetics... (If it's born with hair that's blonde w/ orange or black and red I'll LOL so much!) Justin keeps wanting another kid too though... I'm tempted to have one of them adopt one someday too... so much decisions!

I didn't really have any problems with the town that I recall. I was doing the daycare career. I built them an apartment on top of the daycare building that comes with the store set, and I guess the family and town bored me once I got done with the building. I just couldn't get into it or their story. They were abandoned after she completed the day care career so I could say I did it. I also built them a day care house which I think I saved to my studio but that didn't help keep my interest in them going as a family. Back then I wasn't even really looking at townies except as background sims for the game to provide coworkers and friends for mine. Their stories didn't really pull me to them when I read them.
@coco The ambrosia worked. She stayed playable after that. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

Some meet very young like Adam and Alice did, and others not for centuries like Autumn and Rafe, and Victor and Gardenia. Then you have an occult like poor Flora not til after death and that really shouldn't have happened. The Fates intervened and let her die to be with him as his last request. The Fates or some enterprising young entrepreneur should make an 'Meet your soulmate website' to help out in the ever expanding sim occult world! The sims could register at teens and start a search without ever leaving their home. Lol Perhaps that will be a future episode for my genius Dedric! His life time wish is still to be a fireman though. I got to find a town with a firehouse if I don't decide to change it.
I have a tendency to forget I've clicked and then erase the number. I try to pay attention to the number before I click so I can reclick if it goes down. lol

I remember 9/11 on tv and being told to be quiet. That's about it though. I was 7 years old. I think when something so shocking like that happens, I'm sure it would have brought a lot of people closer together

It was so beautiful the way we all came together as Americans after the tragedy. If fact stores were getting sold out of their American Flags and the newspaper printed off Flags for everyone to post in their windows, like it was made sure that no one was without a flag to "wave." People created "beaded flag pins" and pinned them onto their purses or backpacks. (I even made a few myself. ) Example here:
Service abounded all over the country and it was so so lovely. I miss it... I'd give anything for it now because it feels like we are so horribly divided now.

^You're definitely a writer sweetie. I see great imagination in your stories even if you can't find all the words to put them onto "paper." (That's where pictures help us. ) I enjoy reading your stories.
It's easy to feel like we don't measure up to other writers. And you may not believe this, but I feel the same sometimes. Like I'll think, "I'll never be as good a writer as them," and start thinking negatively about my talent. But then I remind myself that I write for my enjoyment more than for the enjoyment of others. And also, by reading more "advanced" stories, I learn of ways to better describe things - my vocabulary increases - and my writing improves. It's all a learning process and little by little we are all getting better at how we write. Even you. {{{Hug}}}

Hello @rubyskywalker! I used the base game paneling. It's red and has a piece for paneling on the right side and one for the left side, as well as one with paneling on the top, too. I have found that that paneling set usually works better for my builds than the vinyl siding set because you can do more with it.

The rest of her first semester was pretty uneventful, but she got her report card...
And, so far, has a 4.0! Hopefully she can keep this up.
She immediately went back to college to finish her business degree. This time I have her in her own house so she isn't bothered by pesky roommates who leave plates out and are generally just a nuisance. She also got a haircut! It won't be her hair forever, I just felt like temporarily changing it. I changed her everyday look too - but this will change multiple times again until she gets a little older.
Her next semester passes without much note, but on the Sunday before her final semester, her boyfriend Derek comes by and tells her he needs to take a break from the relationship. Katy knows that Derek has been struggling with school lately and understands why he is doing this, but she still isn't happy about it.
She quietly begins dating Jose Peterson sometime later.
As Katy begins to reach the end of her final semester, she really works hard to keep her GPA up. After her final exams her anxiously awaits her report card. The morning it comes, she opens it up and...
She sees that she will graduate from Sims University with a 4.0 GPA!
Later, she and the other graduates line up to walk across the stage to accept their diploma...
And the Dean calls out her name: "Katheryn Riverson!"
And just like that, Katy finishes her college career! Unfortunately, I couldn't get a photo of her tossing the diploma because (of course) she came out of a different door than the one I was expecting, so I missed it. Oh well.
Congrats to Katy!
She heads home to Bridgeport that night, ready to begin the next chapter of her young life: The World of Business.

Also, @emorrill is exactly right about writing. All you need to do is look at how much mine has improved since I started - and I'm hoping to actually be a writer (or an investigative reporter) when I grow up irl so I spend a LOT of time proof reading and re-writing stuff. A big chunk of that improvement has come from reading and writing here on this forum. Seriously, my first post on here was like "here they are getting married, and now they're going to Egypt." Creativity, which you have in abundance is the most important part of storytelling.
@DillynJames@emorrill I got only like 20% of my notifications yesterday. I've taken to simply reading every post when I can and if I'm pressed for time I read all of the posts with screencaps and then just hit cntF and search for my name.
