I can't stop my spellcaster using broom?

I am playing a rotation of 2 spellcasters. When I left one to go to the other then back again, they had got themselves a broom, problem is I can't now STOP him using the broom. He ddidn't have one in his inventory, so I went and bought one thinking I could choose "never use broom" but the option is not there, I sold the broom, but he's still using it.

Does anyone know how to stop it?? pleeeeeease?

Ok, update: I bought another broom, selected "Always use broom" after this it gave me the option to "Never use brooms" which I selected. But my spellcaster is STILL using the bloomin broom!!!!

Hmm I keep my sims broom hung up very high on a wall in their study so they can’t reach it with out me grabbing it for them. I’m not really sure I haven’t really tested out brooms yet

Have you tried clearing your cache and/or repairing your game?

I have tried repairing my game, that hasn't worked. Do I clear the game's cache @MaggieMarley or Origin's? Thank you guys for helping, I really appreciate it.

This is a good guide to clearing your cache: https://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/help/cachebackup.php

In particular, deleting the localthumbscache.package file often helps get rid of certain glitches.

Ok, cleared all caches, including origin, just to be sure. Problem still persists. I've raised a bug report over at Crin's.

Thank you so much for trying to help @MaggieMarley . I just don't know what else to do. I'll try and recover a game, but I'm afraid it will happen again with my other spellcasters now. I'll report back if I fix it. Thanks again for your time

No worries. I’m sorry my suggestions didn’t work. Maybe Crinrinct will be able to solve it for you.

The only other things I could think of to try would be removing your mods (which I imagine was the first thing you did anyway, assuming you have any mods) or rolling back a save (very annoying!)

Thanks @MaggieMarley but I don't use mods

I tried rolling back the save, but I think it is when the game takes the spellcasters to the Realm (the sim I'm playing) sees him there (the one with the broom) and the game obviously has given him the broom in the situatonal event u know, as he is not wearing the clothes I assigned him, so the game has dragged him there.
