The exteriors of both of the builds are very lovely! @groovyboa It is great that first build is base game only. The roofing and towers in the second build are very nice!
This is something which came to my mind at that moment when they introduced the new build mode for stairs: Spiral Stairs. It was pretty clear, that we wouldn't get those, but I hoped that with the new tools you might create something similar. So I guess this is something, which might - somehow - work as a spiral stair....
It's quite a hassle to build and it has for sure it's limitations, but it's pure basegame and it works as intended.
Just for the sake of building it.
Bonxie: Great Skua, stercorarius skua. Meet me on Fair Isle.
Started building this today... slowly as I don't want to stress the wound... Going to be a fairy home of sorts, if and when I get it done. Not going to be soon.

The sims 3 spiral stairs took up less space. However modular stairs are still very nice.

Because I love torturing myself, I'm attempting the Beverly Hills witch house.
While my real estate agent/secret warlock is waiting for me to figure out the roofline, he's hanging in temporary quarters and making a cauldron of mac n cheese.
I've been working, slowly, on a Magic University type building. I don't have a lot done yet, but framework and room layout. I have plans for classrooms, student dorms, guest rooms, servant rooms, etc. Should be..might be a nice RP type build, for some.
Really wish we could do something with these ceilings....
Your magic university WIP is looking great! @Taoron Very nice exterior with many windows. The dining hall is lovely! The long rows of tables and chairs looks great! Very nice candles ceiling light and wall lights and stone textured walls look nice, Vey niice nook area with the firepit
@Gwiniel OOoh.a floaty castle. Love it. I've been considering doing that, but afraid people might complain about the lack of stairs. lol That's really nice looking, so far.
@Taoron - with RoM, you can use the debug magic portals to travel, or fly with a broom so stairs aren't a must. Although I haven't tested yet can a non-magic sim use the portals... they should since that's how they get into the magic world in a first place xD

Impressive dining hall. If you have space above, it might be fun to take away that ceiling and make the room extra tall.
