Ok so I just installed ROM and the first thing I wanted to do was obviously to check out the new premades in CAS.
What I have found is that
if you try to exit CAS without saving while a spellcaster sim is doing their special spellcaster animation with the glowing orb (I.e. the equivalent of vampires hissing in CAS), the game crashes.
I should note that:
1. It happens whether or not CAS is switched on
2. It happens when you exit CAS
without saving
3. It only happens if you try to exit CAS while a spellcaster is in the middle of the spellcaster animation...
4. It happens every time
5. I only have MCCC and a vampire mod by littlemssam (both of which are up to date)

I kid you not: This happened to me within 10 minutes of beginning to play the game. How on earth did they not notice and fix this glitch before releasing the game?! Do they not play test at all?

Oh wait, yes it has. Only once though, and I was returning to the main menu after putting my first spellcaster on the gallery. I was going to exit the game anyway so the crash just saved me the effort of actually having to click exit game
It only happens if you exit CAS when they’re in the middle of the special spellcaster animation. That’s probably why it’s only happened to you once.

I dont know about ya'll but I dont want this to get fixed in next month's patch. The sooner the better. It just happened once and already its getting pretty old, pretty fast.

So. They really don't playtest, then.
They do test things out before releasing them, the problem is that sometimes some of the bugs don't show up until you 'go live'. This is one of the things that happens in programming or coding. It happens in every game ever made, heck, it happens in your work software too. It's frustrating when things don't work as intended but they'll fix it, try to have a little patience.
Also important to note that most of the testing is likely done on the new pack (with only base game), rather than in combination with everything else. Cue the "go live" bugs that creep in.
I may be kidding about no testing (and I do think they're not doing nearly enough QC on *other* things, like the Sages in RoM) but bugs in coding are a whole different beast.
