@emorrill hehe That was the first thing I thought of when I saw Jack and Judy with their dark hair and all the kids are blonds. Yep, I know things skip a generation, but isn't blond a recessive gene? I loved science in school, but that was like what.....100 years or so ago. Things have probably changed since then. It is just surprising to see all of them with blond hair!

While at my sons I played a bit on his PS4 before the power blipped and messed up my game as I had not saved....lol. It was a remastered version of FF 8. My favorite one is FF7 which I saw on his console is now available for preorder...their remake of it.

Nick waited for a while for Humara to return and then Anna left the room. There was music playing and Tony and made conversation with each other but Nick still felt anxious. Eventually he also felt ill so went in the bathroom and threw up. He started feeling juiced and had a mixture of thoughts going through him. Part of him wished that he had not gone to the party. It was loud, his vision distorted and he would rather be in bed. He felt weak and could feel himself shaking.
He knew that this was all part of the juiced effect but for now he had that regret that maybe he should have just gone home. He thought about Humara and wished that she was with him. He decided that he would have to go looking for her so after he left the bathroom he headed downstairs.
Different music was playing in the living room and most people where either standing around or sitting around. Humara was sitting on the sofa next to Cassie and Leanda while Taz was talking to Darwin. Nick sat on the floor and waited to come up. He felt slightly better now so waited for the effect to kick in. Being near Humara was making him feel more relaxed. He was enjoying the music and could feel himself breathing in and out. He looked over to Humara and he could see that she also looked a bit more relaxed. He really cared about her and knew more than anything that he really loved her. Just looking at her made him think about how beautiful she was and he wanted to tell her how he felt.
He asked her to come outside with him but she said that she was happy staying where she was.
'Maybe we could go for a walk in a bit if you want?' Nick suggested.
'Maybe later,' replied Humara 'I am still coming up at the moment,'
'You juiced yet?' Cassie asked Nick.
'I think so,' replied Nick.
'What about you, Taz?' she asked Taz.
'Yeah, I am getting on it,' he replied.
Nick started to feel guilty. For a while he had been hating on Taz and yet Taz was not actually bothering him. Nick felt bath for being so possessive other Humara. He knew that was what put her off Simon but he did still feel bad about that although he had now hoped that Simon had moved on with Tammy. He also felt bad for what he had said about Stacy and that Dom had spread rumours about her. But for now things started to feel ok. Everyone in the room was getting along and Nick hoped that soon he could get closer to Humara.
'Can I lie down on your bed for a bit?' Humara asked Cassie.
'If you want,' replied Cassie casually.
'Do you want me to come with you?' Nick asked her hoping that she was ok.
'I will be alright,' replied Humara 'I will come down shortly,'
'She will be alright in a bit,' said Cassie once Humara had left the room.
Nick decided to sit on the sofa and could now feeling himself juiced and things started to feel really good. He closed his eyes and was really getting into the music. He was really feeling like he wanted to tell Humara how much he loved her. Perhaps tonight would be the night that they would finally be together?
I will mention that in my update my Sims would be 'juiced' and this will translate into some magic potion being a mixture of love potions and other spells. The real explanation would be on my blog...
This one took me a while to write because I had lots of pictures but no idea how to string them together. But it was fun to explore Jem's anxiety a little, as awful as that sounds
A World Without Clouds – Part 22
Scratch, scratch, scratch. A strange sound caught Jeremiah’s attention. It was getting dark and he decided that there was simply no way he could get to sleep without finding the source of the noise. It wasn’t coming from his dresser or bedside table, nor the desk or pile of soft toys in the corner. That meant there was only one place left to check…
He crouched down slowly and took a deep breath. Scratch, scratch. Jem’s heartbeat was pounding hard and he felt hot all over. The darkness under his bed seemed to morph into a shape. Then a set of reflective eyes appeared.
He snapped up straight and bolted for the door, almost tripping on his crocheted rug. Jem: Dad!!
Saville had just settled Artie into his cot when he felt a pair of arms crash into his back. No amount of convincing could persuade him so eventually it was decided that Saville would sleep in Jem’s room for the night.
While getting ready for bed, Sun was able to calm Jem down by asking about his day at school. She found out that his favourite part was learning about numbers. Jem had started to make good friends in his class and enjoyed most of his subjects… except one. He was especially worried about his physical education class. They were learning about balance and ball skills. But no matter how hard he tried Jem could not get the ball in the ring, it always seemed to be out of reach. This began to affect his confidence and the way he acted around his friends.
Sun: What games did you play at lunch? Jem: Nothing. Dorothy said I couldn’t play with them, so I sat by myself.
Sun knew that she had to be delicate if she wanted to hear more about his problems at school. Sun: Are some of the kids mean?
Jem just nodded glumly.
Jem: They tease me because they can all shoot goals and I can’t. Sun: It’s not your fault. I’m sure you can do lots of things that they can’t. You were very brave telling me this. Jem: I just want to play basketball with them but I'm not good enough. Sun: How about tomorrow we ask Dad to take you out and practice. How does that sound?
For the first time in a while Jem showed the hint of a smile. Jem: You’re the best Mum. I love you.
He climbed over to give Sun a warm hug. She held her son tight and wondered how long he had been struggling on his own. At least she knew now and could tell Saville in the morning. Once they got under the covers it didn’t take long for sleep to claim them.
One stiff back later, Saville told the family over breakfast that the scratching under the bed came from their curious puppy Sherlock. He couldn't find it within himself to be mad at such a cute face though.
Saville drove Jem to the gym to practice their basketball shots later that afternoon. It broke Saville’s heart to know that his son was struggling and didn’t tell anyone. He wanted more than anything for his sadness to go away. But he knew the main issue was Jem’s self-esteem. The only way to build up his confidence was through setting realistic goals and practice.
Saville: Let’s start with your feet. They need to be spaced apart to keep you balanced. Now you’re holding the ball, but let’s move your right elbow so it’s under the ball. Remember to keep your eyes on the hoop. Bend your knees, jump and push the ball out of your hands.
Jem nodded in determination and repositioned his hands. He jumped and let go of the ball.
It was a lollipop throw, bouncing a few times before coming to a stop. Fresh tears threatened to fall and Jem furiously wiped them away. His shoulders fell to a slump.
Jem: Dad, I just can’t do it. Everybody’s going to laugh at me... I don’t want to go back to school.
This declaration shook Saville to his core. It was his job to look after the kids. How could he be a good Principal if he can’t even take care of his own? Feelings of failure washed over him like waves. After a moment he shook the thoughts out of his mind. He would not let Jem give up. The only thing he could do was to keep encouraging him.
Saville: It’s alright Jem, try not to be too upset. Even the best basketballers in the world had to start somewhere. You are making great progress and were so close to hitting the ring that time. Practice is more than just trying over and over, you need to truly believe that next time you can do it.
Saville knelt in front of his son and tilted his head until their eyes were locked. Saville: You can do this. I believe in you because you’re my son and you make me proud every day. All I ask is that you believe in yourself as well. How about another try, hey?
Jem let the words sink in. He took a deep breath and looked up at the hoop. He felt so small in comparison. For a moment he imagined how fun it would be to play with his friends again. The only thing stopping him was the ring. A steely determination set in. He was going to shoot a goal this afternoon, no matter what.
A few throws later and they finally had some goals to celebrate about. Jem jumped into Saville’s arms chanting ‘I did it!’. Saville gave a sigh of relief hoping that this would stop the talk about not going to school.
The infectious excitement continued at home as Jem twirled Sherlock in circles. Jem: I did it, boy! You should have seen me. I can't wait to show them at school.
Then he imagined his future as a basketball superstar, splashing his hands in the bath water as if he were an adoring fan. The bullies were far from his mind for the moment.
The incident with Sherlock under the bed was long forgotten as Jem could hardly wait to get into bed. As Sun came in to give him a kiss goodnight she sat on his bed for a moment.
Sun: Dad told me how proud he was of you today. I just want you to know that you can always talk to us when you’re feeling sad or when someone is saying mean things. You are never alone, even your teacher Miss Gray is there to help.
Jem nodded and buried himself under the covers, clutching his teddy bear.
After undressing into their nightwear Sun and Saville tenderly kissed each other.
Sun: You were so good helping Jem out with the shooting practice. He seems so much happier. I just hope he does alright at school tomorrow, kids can be so mean. Saville: I’ll try to keep an eye out for him, maybe Maggie has some ideas too.
Sun yawned and rubbed her shoulders. Saville turned her around and applied circular pressure to her sore muscles. Saville: Hey I’m the one that should be getting a massage after sleeping in that tiny bed last night.
He felt his wife giggle in response. She twisted in his embrace. Sun: You know what might feel even better right now?
She hinted suggestively with a raised eyebrow.
Saville: Oh I thought you would never ask. I could really do with a foot massage; those shoes were killing my feet today!
Sun laughed and swatted his arm playfully. Sun: You know full well what I meant.
A while later they were both relaxed, bleary-eyed and half asleep. The words came out before Saville could think. Saville: I think we should have another baby.

I had a feeling the sound under the bed was just the puppy. Poor Jem's anxiety...
I could really relate to all this as my daughter has anxiety (and ADHD) and sometimes feels that she falls short compared to the other kids in her class. She's not very skilled in athletics either - like her momma - but we always try to encourage her the best we can. I'm proud of Jem for being able to open up to his mom about everything.

Looks like the forum is going bonkers again... I tried to give out an awesome and then this thing popped up telling me the site was down due to maintenance. 🤷♀️ Oh well.... I just refreshed the page and was able to do it.
Got some stuff I'd like to share on here today, but right now I need breakfast and maybe will lay down and read my book. I keep getting distracted with other things (I've actually been partying like it's 1995 playing Chrono Trigger again! ) to the point that I forget what's going on in the book and I have to skim back a few pages to refresh my memory. I need to just finish it already so I don't have to worry about that anymore.
Hi Friends! I have a question to ask! I'm not quite sure which house I like better that I built for my story. I can only have five houses, so only one can stay in this spot. The same family will be living in whatever one I pick, but I'm just can't decide. Which one do you like better, based on how they look? OR
The top house has four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms and the bottom has three bedrooms and one and a half (or two full, I haven't totally decided yet) bathrooms. Which one would you rather live in? I'm leaning more toward the blue one that I built this morning, but I could go either way right now.

@bekkasan I'm sorry. I hate my brain. I saw that FF8 remastered came out! I want to at least see some videos of people playing it, if only to see slightly more HD Squall. I'm not the biggest fan of Final Fantasy, but I have played and enjoyed FF6, FF9, FF10, and FFXIV...so I guess my favorite would be one of those. Honestly, when I was a kid and Final Fantasy games were coming out all of the time...to be honest, I was too busy playing Breath of Fire and Tales of Destiny 2 (aka Tales of Eternia).

Frog is best boy and this is just a fact.
Alice decides to go home and practice her spells in peace. Wisteria is the only other person at home, so she warns her that she will be practicing fire and ice spells outside in the yard. "I will not burn the house down so please don't freak out!" Alice begs her.
Wisteria does not freak out but she did not like how tall the fire gets or how far the heat spreads before Alice put it out with her ice spell. Alice repeats the spells many times until she is dizzy with fatigue and her power is waning.
Wisteria could see the profound fatigue on Alice's face and makes her stop. "You are wearing yourself out with all the practice and will not be worth a hoot when the full moon rises if you don't take a break." She assists Alice into the house and comfortably settles her on the sofa with stern instructions to take a nap. Wisteria uses a simple soothing spell that has Alice asleep in an instant. Happy to aid her new friend she goes out to the garden to work on the plants and read another recipe book.
Alice is still napping when Adam comes home and he starts working at the chemistry lab. He is intent on learning all the potions to increase his knowledge of all things science and supernatural.
Jennifer rushes in the door as she arrives home from the newspaper office and runs up the stairs full on to the bathroom. Apparently, she caught Alice's 24 hour bug, and it was not the key lime pie gone bad. She hopes the others do not get it. She brushes her teeth and washes up feeling better after the retching.
Wisteria has learned to prepare ratatouille and has harvested some fresh tomatoes from the garden. She pokes around with the food processor figuring out how to operate it. Wow...she thinks to herself, this sure makes cooking much easier. She prepares enough for dinner this evening and hopes it is good. It sure makes the kitchen smell awesome.
Alice wakes up from her nap with the absolute certainty that she is pregnant. As a witch she has that innate sense of self and can feel the changes in her body and the new life growing in her womb. She claps her hands and shouts with joy thoroughly happy and understanding now why she was a bit off the last few days.
She hurries into the adjoining room where Adam is working shouting her news to him. Adam completely startled by her shouting and caught off guard by the news she shouts drops the flask and a minor explosion happens. Luckily Adam was only singed and Alice was far enough away she did not get caught in the explosion.
"What did you say? My ears are ringing. Did you say you are pregnant?" Adam asks Alice uncertainly.
"You are going to be a Dad. I'm pregnant!" Alice looks at Adam happily.
Adam is filled with a joy he has never felt before hearing those words from Alice.
He reaches out even in all his soot and holds her face telling her how much he loves her and and how much he loves the baby just hearing the news.
Alice sends him to clean up, and they talk afterwords. "I don't want you to do the resurrection spell. It could be harmful to the baby. It is hard enough magic on the witch performing the spell."
Alice gives him the look.
"Adam, I love you dearly and I would never do anything that would harm this baby or me as that would harm you as well since we are bound together by the fates. You have to understand you don't know much about witches and witchcraft and spells. We have been performing these spells for eons. I will have the support of Dedric and Wisteria with their spells of protection. I will be surrounded by the love of my friends who are as close as family to me. Their love amplifies the power of the protection spells. I will call upon the power of all the witches both past and present to protect from evil while resurrecting Flora. I will perform this spell. We made a promise to Pip and his family. We owe it them to find out what happened. This is the only safe way to achieve that."
Adam squeezes her hands. "I guess I will have to trust you and have faith that nothing will go wrong. Are you absolutely sure about this?"
"Yes, I am positive I can do this. I've practiced so much this last few weeks that my spells are much more powerful then ever before. I realize I must continue my magic just as Mom forewarned me. My powers must stay strong so that I can be valuable to those in need. I will continue enjoying my art and photography, but I know my magic must come first from now on."
Adam strokes her hair as he enfolds her tightly in his arms. "I love you so much and have dreamed of having a family with you for so many years. This dream is about to come true. I will support you, and all my love will surround you and the baby defending and protecting you as much as I can during the spell."
Wisteria called everyone to dinner and she received many compliments on her ratatouille. Adam and Alice shared their good news to those who had not already heard her shout it out earlier. Hugs and congratulations and a beautiful toast to the new baby were shared. After dinner they went upstairs to their room to call her parents and let them know the good news. Victor and Gardenia are soon to become Grandparents.
Was the ratatouille that bad? (at least this time she ran to the closest bathroom downstairs. (Wisteria put a fairy trap on the shower, not Dedric)
After a few minutes of relaxing Nick had noticed that Taz had left the room but he did not think much about it for the time being. Most of the group where talking amongst themselves and where really getting close to each other. Also sitting on the floor was Damien who was also under the influence but mostly kept to himself. Darwin, Gareth, Sarah and Michelle had formed their own circle and were talking about politics while Tony and Craig were sitting on the floor at the other side of the room with Anna. Nick now realised that only people not there was Taz and Humara.
He went upstairs and found Humara in Cassie's room talking to Taz and they seemed to be quite close. Nick was having mixed emotions. He was partially coming up from the pills but the sight of Humara with Taz confused him.
'Do you want to come back downstairs?' he asked Humara.
'I am alright here, thanks,' said Humara.
Taz was sitting next to her and started holding her hands and she moved her head onto his shoulders.
'What is going on?' asked Nick 'are you two together?'
'What do you mean?' asked Taz who was acting differently to usual. He was not showing off here and did not even come across as hostile.
'Why are you two so close?' asked Nick.
'Because we are,' replied Taz casually.
'Yeah, me and Taz are close,' replied Humara.
'Maybe you should tell him?' said Taz.
'Tell me what?' Nick asked feeling nervous.
'Just tell him,' said Taz 'then it will be over with,'
'Okay I will be honest,' said Humara 'I don't love you. I love Taz and always have done,'
Keanu and River got the boys up and ready for the day. Kier hightailed it to the stairs and of course got stuck there.
The family enjoyed pancakes for breakfast
Shannon's waking wish was to garden so he got the job. There weren't many plants ready for harvesting and he's super fast.
Mikezumi had a wish to prepare a great meal locked in from the previous day so I got her cooking Moving sims is good for generating lots of wishes that highly skilled sims can easily do
As the boys were leaving for their stroll I noticed Shannon had already finished the gardening and was looking at a dead plant but he didn't cry.
I was kind of hoping that the boys would stroll together but River immediately crossed the street.
Shannon rolled a wish to find some seeds.
When I checked on the boys, Keanu had also crossed the street
Silly Mikezumi was trying for baby again! She's a determined one!
Keanu and River were also about to woohoo but they weren't trying for baby. Since the move means no lag there will definitely be more children in the near future

Shannon and Mikezumi often don't bother changing out of their pajamas after woohoo. Some sims seem to be better at it than others although they do change clothes when they leave the house.

My sims have so much perfect life fruit that they only grow for wishes since I never let them eat them

I checked on Shannon and Mikezumi when they were done eating. They were having a little flirt and kiss so I waited a bit then sent them home
@Mikezumi. Whoever the creator of that wolf sim was really good at determining the colors. I got him from some creator who made that. I’ll have to get the nameof who it was after I replace the fan on my computer. The CPU coretemp was running at 61C on idle so I made the decision to shut the machine down tilll I can get the fan replaced. Then I’m seriously am considering a pro gaming case with an air filter to prevent dust getting in.
Hence the reason I’m posting via iPhone...so no Sims update for another 14 days. Sorry.

So it turns out that Humara was hanging out with Taz more often than we thought. I didn't think that Humara would actually admit to stringing along Simon and Nick. Honestly I'm not sure that Taz is a good guy. I don't know what bad stuff he has done in the past to her but what's stopping him from doing it again. This is a lesson that Nick won't forget anytime soon. @Silverofdreams30 Thanks for the lovely comments. In my mind Jem has some learning difficulties so he might face more teasing as he gets older. I think they're wonderful too
I wonder what Teresa was doing to make Gavin pull that face at her. Elevators can be so slow and annoying. I hope the game got Teresa a good job.

I keep forgetting to tell you that they are filming a big movie in my city. I didn't go along to the casting because it was incredibly popular but they're filming just across the road from my work, I can't see anything though. It's been a little while since I've played but I'm pretty sure Jem rolled the genius trait. However I think he will face difficulties in his learning and social skills. No matter how much I love him, I just get the impression that he is a bit of an awkward child. This will be in great comparison to their second son Artie who will be over-confident to the point of being inappropriate which was his rolled trait. I took so many pictures of Saville playing basketball. I love guys in v-neck shirts
Yay! This was one of my favourite paragraphs to write. I imagine there must be immense pressure trying to keep his job professional whilst still worrying about Jem in class. Giving him any kind of favouritism would be unfair so it's a fine line to walk.
Haha, this is the kind of joke I would tell too to keep things lighthearted. Well I know for sure that Sun is pregnant but I'm keeping the gender of the baby random. I so want it to be a girl even though they both wished for another boy lol So it's happening no matter what but I think once they address their fears and realise they can't keep every little bad thing away from their children things will be alright. They love their kids more than anything and would definitely love having another little one to care for

I'd never heard of Chrono Trigger but it looks fun. Finish your book first, game later @DillynJames Both houses are fabulous so it's hard to choose. I feel like the first one looks more modern and the second one looks more traditional. She couldn't wait to break the news to Adam. Oops maybe distracting someone while they are fiddling with chemicals isn't the best idea. They must have a closet full of those dispensable lab coats. It's almost funny that Alice is giving this wonderful life changing news and Adam is covered in soot and down to his boxers
I'm glad that Adam brought up his concern about her doing the spell. It seems like Alice won't actually be alone in this, and Flora really deserves this chance to say goodbye to Pip and the family. It was so mature of Alice to realise that she has the ability to help others through her magic, and that skill needs to come first before her other interests. I'm glad Wisteria's cooking was a success. Sounds like the shouting and explosion must have caught everyone's attention. Victor and Gardenia will be elated to hear the good news. Jennifer is not having a good time with all that sickness @mikezumi I don't like keeping toddlers upstairs because they need constant supervision or else they will get stuck. It seems like none of your sims cry over dead plants anymore. I wish sims would stroll together too, I see they met up later down the street. Mikezumi is so eager to have more children
Rian is a beautiful child! You got some adorable shots of Kier learning to walk. I love that Keanu gave Mikezumi a hug. Rian must prefer more modern games
Mikezumi just doesn't know when to quit, such a stubborn sim Kier escaped having thick eyebrows during his bath. That ball is bigger than Rian's head! I bet the food is better at home than the Bistro
Not much happened today, but I'll give a little update.
Luka became a toddler. He and Aleah have lots of fun in their playpen I got from ATS3 (ATS3 has become an obsession for me now I have too much from there...)
The house is almost done except for some minor decor. Soon I'll have to change up Aleah's room since she'll age up to child soon. They grow up so fast! Maybe she'll get a sibling soon...
I'm obsessed with the nurseries I designed. I found pretty pink Frozen pattern for Aleah's crib mattress and Luka has an Eeyore pattern. They also have a nice collection of toys now in both rooms.
I have 5 magic gnomes scattered around the house and yard now: Edwin and Antone the Lounge Lizard gnomes; Buck and Butternut the Bucktooth Butternut gnomes; and Clockwork the Gnome of Invention. It's fun trying to find them every simday... it's like Gnome Hide-and-seek!
My next mission, now that I got a few shopping mods and town themed cc (*cough* ATS3!) I'm planning on rebuilding some town buildings. I'm gonna rebuild the town hall and add rabbithole doors... there will be a "mayor's office" added for the Tax Collector computer. It's a really fun mod that adds a new money system where sims can donate to certain places around town to go towards rebuilding. You can collect taxes too. And the computer part has another good use, preferably if you're not good add saving up - it can become a sort of sim-fam-savings thingy. Buy one computer for each sim to have their own, or put the whole family's savings together in one. Great for saving for vacay!
Tomorrow I'll start the town hall... then I'm gonna do the grocery store, salon, add a kids toy store, church, funeral home, restaurant, theater...
@coco thank you. I hope you find time to watch some more of the video. It's sort of a transitional episode and the next one is too. By the end of the next part, that I'm working on now, there are no more toddlers as those who remain are aged up to child and Oscar now has lots of little friends to play with - except some of them are about to age up to teen and one of the teens are aging up to Young Adult soon.
I'm wondering whether or not to sell the meteor and other space rocks that resulted from the meteor strike. I'm tempted to keep them and give them to sims as they head off home as the boarding school doesn't need any more Simoleans but little sims going home might need the extra to upgrade their homes or buy something useful.

@emorrill hehe That was the first thing I thought of when I saw Jack and Judy with their dark hair and all the kids are blonds. Yep, I know things skip a generation, but isn't blond a recessive gene? I loved science in school, but that was like what.....100 years or so ago. Things have probably changed since then.

While at my sons I played a bit on his PS4 before the power blipped and messed up my game as I had not saved....lol. It was a remastered version of FF 8. My favorite one is FF7 which I saw on his console is now available for preorder...their remake of it.

The Cowboy and the Mermaid
Nick waited for a while for Humara to return and then Anna left the room. There was music playing and Tony and made conversation with each other but Nick still felt anxious. Eventually he also felt ill so went in the bathroom and threw up. He started feeling juiced and had a mixture of thoughts going through him. Part of him wished that he had not gone to the party. It was loud, his vision distorted and he would rather be in bed. He felt weak and could feel himself shaking.
He knew that this was all part of the juiced effect but for now he had that regret that maybe he should have just gone home. He thought about Humara and wished that she was with him. He decided that he would have to go looking for her so after he left the bathroom he headed downstairs.
Different music was playing in the living room and most people where either standing around or sitting around. Humara was sitting on the sofa next to Cassie and Leanda while Taz was talking to Darwin. Nick sat on the floor and waited to come up. He felt slightly better now so waited for the effect to kick in. Being near Humara was making him feel more relaxed. He was enjoying the music and could feel himself breathing in and out. He looked over to Humara and he could see that she also looked a bit more relaxed. He really cared about her and knew more than anything that he really loved her. Just looking at her made him think about how beautiful she was and he wanted to tell her how he felt.
He asked her to come outside with him but she said that she was happy staying where she was.
'Maybe we could go for a walk in a bit if you want?' Nick suggested.
'Maybe later,' replied Humara 'I am still coming up at the moment,'
'You juiced yet?' Cassie asked Nick.
'I think so,' replied Nick.
'What about you, Taz?' she asked Taz.
'Yeah, I am getting on it,' he replied.
Nick started to feel guilty. For a while he had been hating on Taz and yet Taz was not actually bothering him. Nick felt bath for being so possessive other Humara. He knew that was what put her off Simon but he did still feel bad about that although he had now hoped that Simon had moved on with Tammy. He also felt bad for what he had said about Stacy and that Dom had spread rumours about her. But for now things started to feel ok. Everyone in the room was getting along and Nick hoped that soon he could get closer to Humara.
'Can I lie down on your bed for a bit?' Humara asked Cassie.
'If you want,' replied Cassie casually.
'Do you want me to come with you?' Nick asked her hoping that she was ok.
'I will be alright,' replied Humara 'I will come down shortly,'
'She will be alright in a bit,' said Cassie once Humara had left the room.
Nick decided to sit on the sofa and could now feeling himself juiced and things started to feel really good. He closed his eyes and was really getting into the music. He was really feeling like he wanted to tell Humara how much he loved her. Perhaps tonight would be the night that they would finally be together?

A World Without Clouds – Part 22
Scratch, scratch, scratch. A strange sound caught Jeremiah’s attention. It was getting dark and he decided that there was simply no way he could get to sleep without finding the source of the noise. It wasn’t coming from his dresser or bedside table, nor the desk or pile of soft toys in the corner. That meant there was only one place left to check…
He crouched down slowly and took a deep breath. Scratch, scratch. Jem’s heartbeat was pounding hard and he felt hot all over. The darkness under his bed seemed to morph into a shape. Then a set of reflective eyes appeared.
He snapped up straight and bolted for the door, almost tripping on his crocheted rug.
Jem: Dad!!
Saville had just settled Artie into his cot when he felt a pair of arms crash into his back. No amount of convincing could persuade him so eventually it was decided that Saville would sleep in Jem’s room for the night.
While getting ready for bed, Sun was able to calm Jem down by asking about his day at school. She found out that his favourite part was learning about numbers. Jem had started to make good friends in his class and enjoyed most of his subjects… except one. He was especially worried about his physical education class. They were learning about balance and ball skills. But no matter how hard he tried Jem could not get the ball in the ring, it always seemed to be out of reach. This began to affect his confidence and the way he acted around his friends.
Sun: What games did you play at lunch?
Jem: Nothing. Dorothy said I couldn’t play with them, so I sat by myself.
Sun knew that she had to be delicate if she wanted to hear more about his problems at school.
Sun: Are some of the kids mean?
Jem just nodded glumly.
Jem: They tease me because they can all shoot goals and I can’t.
Sun: It’s not your fault. I’m sure you can do lots of things that they can’t. You were very brave telling me this.
Jem: I just want to play basketball with them but I'm not good enough.
Sun: How about tomorrow we ask Dad to take you out and practice. How does that sound?
For the first time in a while Jem showed the hint of a smile.
Jem: You’re the best Mum. I love you.
He climbed over to give Sun a warm hug. She held her son tight and wondered how long he had been struggling on his own. At least she knew now and could tell Saville in the morning. Once they got under the covers it didn’t take long for sleep to claim them.
One stiff back later, Saville told the family over breakfast that the scratching under the bed came from their curious puppy Sherlock. He couldn't find it within himself to be mad at such a cute face though.
Saville drove Jem to the gym to practice their basketball shots later that afternoon. It broke Saville’s heart to know that his son was struggling and didn’t tell anyone. He wanted more than anything for his sadness to go away. But he knew the main issue was Jem’s self-esteem. The only way to build up his confidence was through setting realistic goals and practice.
Saville: Let’s start with your feet. They need to be spaced apart to keep you balanced. Now you’re holding the ball, but let’s move your right elbow so it’s under the ball. Remember to keep your eyes on the hoop. Bend your knees, jump and push the ball out of your hands.
Jem nodded in determination and repositioned his hands. He jumped and let go of the ball.
It was a lollipop throw, bouncing a few times before coming to a stop. Fresh tears threatened to fall and Jem furiously wiped them away. His shoulders fell to a slump.
Jem: Dad, I just can’t do it. Everybody’s going to laugh at me... I don’t want to go back to school.
This declaration shook Saville to his core. It was his job to look after the kids. How could he be a good Principal if he can’t even take care of his own? Feelings of failure washed over him like waves. After a moment he shook the thoughts out of his mind. He would not let Jem give up. The only thing he could do was to keep encouraging him.
Saville: It’s alright Jem, try not to be too upset. Even the best basketballers in the world had to start somewhere. You are making great progress and were so close to hitting the ring that time. Practice is more than just trying over and over, you need to truly believe that next time you can do it.
Saville knelt in front of his son and tilted his head until their eyes were locked.
Saville: You can do this. I believe in you because you’re my son and you make me proud every day. All I ask is that you believe in yourself as well. How about another try, hey?
Jem let the words sink in. He took a deep breath and looked up at the hoop. He felt so small in comparison. For a moment he imagined how fun it would be to play with his friends again. The only thing stopping him was the ring. A steely determination set in. He was going to shoot a goal this afternoon, no matter what.
A few throws later and they finally had some goals to celebrate about. Jem jumped into Saville’s arms chanting ‘I did it!’. Saville gave a sigh of relief hoping that this would stop the talk about not going to school.
The infectious excitement continued at home as Jem twirled Sherlock in circles.
Jem: I did it, boy! You should have seen me. I can't wait to show them at school.
Then he imagined his future as a basketball superstar, splashing his hands in the bath water as if he were an adoring fan. The bullies were far from his mind for the moment.
The incident with Sherlock under the bed was long forgotten as Jem could hardly wait to get into bed. As Sun came in to give him a kiss goodnight she sat on his bed for a moment.
Sun: Dad told me how proud he was of you today. I just want you to know that you can always talk to us when you’re feeling sad or when someone is saying mean things. You are never alone, even your teacher Miss Gray is there to help.
Jem nodded and buried himself under the covers, clutching his teddy bear.
After undressing into their nightwear Sun and Saville tenderly kissed each other.
Sun: You were so good helping Jem out with the shooting practice. He seems so much happier. I just hope he does alright at school tomorrow, kids can be so mean.
Saville: I’ll try to keep an eye out for him, maybe Maggie has some ideas too.
Sun yawned and rubbed her shoulders. Saville turned her around and applied circular pressure to her sore muscles.
Saville: Hey I’m the one that should be getting a massage after sleeping in that tiny bed last night.
He felt his wife giggle in response. She twisted in his embrace.
Sun: You know what might feel even better right now?
She hinted suggestively with a raised eyebrow.
Saville: Oh I thought you would never ask. I could really do with a foot massage; those shoes were killing my feet today!
Sun laughed and swatted his arm playfully.
Sun: You know full well what I meant.
A while later they were both relaxed, bleary-eyed and half asleep. The words came out before Saville could think.
Saville: I think we should have another baby.

I had a feeling the sound under the bed was just the puppy.
I could really relate to all this as my daughter has anxiety (and ADHD) and sometimes feels that she falls short compared to the other kids in her class. She's not very skilled in athletics either - like her momma - but we always try to encourage her the best we can.
Saville is such a great dad and man he looks oh so sexy staring up at the basketball hoop in that picture.

Midnight Hollow, The Ballan Family
Adam's Quest
Alice decides to go home and practice her spells in peace. Wisteria is the only other person at home, so she warns her that she will be practicing fire and ice spells outside in the yard. "I will not burn the house down so please don't freak out!" Alice begs her.
Wisteria does not freak out but she did not like how tall the fire gets or how far the heat spreads before Alice put it out with her ice spell. Alice repeats the spells many times until she is dizzy with fatigue and her power is waning.
Wisteria could see the profound fatigue on Alice's face and makes her stop. "You are wearing yourself out with all the practice and will not be worth a hoot when the full moon rises if you don't take a break." She assists Alice into the house and comfortably settles her on the sofa with stern instructions to take a nap. Wisteria uses a simple soothing spell that has Alice asleep in an instant. Happy to aid her new friend she goes out to the garden to work on the plants and read another recipe book.
Alice is still napping when Adam comes home and he starts working at the chemistry lab. He is intent on learning all the potions to increase his knowledge of all things science and supernatural.
Jennifer rushes in the door as she arrives home from the newspaper office and runs up the stairs full on to the bathroom. Apparently, she caught Alice's 24 hour bug, and it was not the key lime pie gone bad. She hopes the others do not get it. She brushes her teeth and washes up feeling better after the retching.
Wisteria has learned to prepare ratatouille and has harvested some fresh tomatoes from the garden. She pokes around with the food processor figuring out how to operate it. Wow...she thinks to herself, this sure makes cooking much easier. She prepares enough for dinner this evening and hopes it is good. It sure makes the kitchen smell awesome.
Alice wakes up from her nap with the absolute certainty that she is pregnant. As a witch she has that innate sense of self and can feel the changes in her body and the new life growing in her womb. She claps her hands and shouts with joy thoroughly happy and understanding now why she was a bit off the last few days.
She hurries into the adjoining room where Adam is working shouting her news to him. Adam completely startled by her shouting and caught off guard by the news she shouts drops the flask and a minor explosion happens. Luckily Adam was only singed and Alice was far enough away she did not get caught in the explosion.
"What did you say? My ears are ringing. Did you say you are pregnant?" Adam asks Alice uncertainly.
"You are going to be a Dad. I'm pregnant!" Alice looks at Adam happily.
Adam is filled with a joy he has never felt before hearing those words from Alice.
He reaches out even in all his soot and holds her face telling her how much he loves her and and how much he loves the baby just hearing the news.
Alice sends him to clean up, and they talk afterwords. "I don't want you to do the resurrection spell. It could be harmful to the baby. It is hard enough magic on the witch performing the spell."
Alice gives him the look.
"Adam, I love you dearly and I would never do anything that would harm this baby or me as that would harm you as well since we are bound together by the fates. You have to understand you don't know much about witches and witchcraft and spells. We have been performing these spells for eons. I will have the support of Dedric and Wisteria with their spells of protection. I will be surrounded by the love of my friends who are as close as family to me. Their love amplifies the power of the protection spells. I will call upon the power of all the witches both past and present to protect from evil while resurrecting Flora. I will perform this spell. We made a promise to Pip and his family. We owe it them to find out what happened. This is the only safe way to achieve that."
Adam squeezes her hands. "I guess I will have to trust you and have faith that nothing will go wrong. Are you absolutely sure about this?"
"Yes, I am positive I can do this. I've practiced so much this last few weeks that my spells are much more powerful then ever before. I realize I must continue my magic just as Mom forewarned me. My powers must stay strong so that I can be valuable to those in need. I will continue enjoying my art and photography, but I know my magic must come first from now on."
Adam strokes her hair as he enfolds her tightly in his arms. "I love you so much and have dreamed of having a family with you for so many years. This dream is about to come true. I will support you, and all my love will surround you and the baby defending and protecting you as much as I can during the spell."
Wisteria called everyone to dinner and she received many compliments on her ratatouille. Adam and Alice shared their good news to those who had not already heard her shout it out earlier. Hugs and congratulations and a beautiful toast to the new baby were shared. After dinner they went upstairs to their room to call her parents and let them know the good news. Victor and Gardenia are soon to become Grandparents.
Was the ratatouille that bad? (at least this time she ran to the closest bathroom downstairs. (Wisteria put a fairy trap on the shower, not Dedric)

Nick now realised that only people not there was Taz and Humara.
He went upstairs and found Humara in Cassie's room talking to Taz and they seemed to be quite close. Nick was having mixed emotions. He was partially coming up from the pills but the sight of Humara with Taz confused him.
'Do you want to come back downstairs?' he asked Humara.
'I am alright here, thanks,' said Humara.
Taz was sitting next to her and started holding her hands and she moved her head onto his shoulders.
'What is going on?' asked Nick 'are you two together?'
'What do you mean?' asked Taz who was acting differently to usual. He was not showing off here and did not even come across as hostile.
'Why are you two so close?' asked Nick.
'Because we are,' replied Taz casually.
'Yeah, me and Taz are close,' replied Humara.
'Maybe you should tell him?' said Taz.
'Tell me what?' Nick asked feeling nervous.
'Just tell him,' said Taz 'then it will be over with,'
'Okay I will be honest,' said Humara 'I don't love you. I love Taz and always have done,'

Shannon's waking wish was to garden so he got the job. There weren't many plants ready for harvesting and he's super fast.
Mikezumi had a wish to prepare a great meal locked in from the previous day so I got her cooking
As the boys were leaving for their stroll I noticed Shannon had already finished the gardening and was looking at a dead plant but he didn't cry.
I was kind of hoping that the boys would stroll together but River immediately crossed the street.
Shannon rolled a wish to find some seeds.
When I checked on the boys, Keanu had also crossed the street
Silly Mikezumi was trying for baby again! She's a determined one!
Keanu and River were also about to woohoo but they weren't trying for baby. Since the move means no lag there will definitely be more children in the near future

The lighting is sometimes dark in Moonlight Falls. I quite like that it's not bright all the time.

Shannon and Mikezumi often don't bother changing out of their pajamas after woohoo. Some sims seem to be better at it than others although they do change clothes when they leave the house.

My sims have so much perfect life fruit that they only grow for wishes since I never let them eat them

The whole family ate cake and I deleted the stuffed moodlet when they were done

Rian spent some time with River while Keanu got started on teaching Kier how to walk.
Although the family are in the same house they are on a larger lot so I had room to make a pond
I checked on Keanu and Kier in the hope of getting a pic of Kier falling but he started out strong!

I'd last seen River and Mikezumi chatting and it must have led to a game of catch.

I used Retuner to stop all autonomous spell casting when I installed Supernatural recently. I don't like surprises so would hate to see the effects of badly placed love spells!

@Brandontaylor Hank won't survive long without a moodlet from a good meal! I could be wrong but I find that sims get hungrier quicker if they just eat cereal or quick meals.

@king_of_simcity7 I get the hint that it's more than just 'juice' that is going through their systems. Nick seems to be going through a range of emotions, love, guilt and honesty. I think he should just tell Humara how he feels even though I suspect she will reject him.

So it turns out that Humara was hanging out with Taz more often than we thought. I didn't think that Humara would actually admit to stringing along Simon and Nick. Honestly I'm not sure that Taz is a good guy. I don't know what bad stuff he has done in the past to her but what's stopping him from doing it again. This is a lesson that Nick won't forget anytime soon.

It's been a little while since I've played but I'm pretty sure Jem rolled the genius trait. However I think he will face difficulties in his learning and social skills. No matter how much I love him, I just get the impression that he is a bit of an awkward child. This will be in great comparison to their second son Artie who will be over-confident to the point of being inappropriate which was his rolled trait. Yay! This was one of my favourite paragraphs to write. I imagine there must be immense pressure trying to keep his job professional whilst still worrying about Jem in class. Giving him any kind of favouritism would be unfair so it's a fine line to walk.

I'm glad that Adam brought up his concern about her doing the spell. It seems like Alice won't actually be alone in this, and Flora really deserves this chance to say goodbye to Pip and the family. @mikezumi I don't like keeping toddlers upstairs because they need constant supervision or else they will get stuck. It seems like none of your sims cry over dead plants anymore. I wish sims would stroll together too, I see they met up later down the street. Mikezumi is so eager to have more children

The house is almost done except for some minor decor. Soon I'll have to change up Aleah's room since she'll age up to child soon. They grow up so fast!
I'm obsessed with the nurseries I designed. I found pretty pink Frozen pattern for Aleah's crib mattress and Luka has an Eeyore pattern. They also have a nice collection of toys now in both rooms.
I have 5 magic gnomes scattered around the house and yard now: Edwin and Antone the Lounge Lizard gnomes; Buck and Butternut the Bucktooth Butternut gnomes; and Clockwork the Gnome of Invention. It's fun trying to find them every simday... it's like Gnome Hide-and-seek!
My next mission, now that I got a few shopping mods and town themed cc (*cough* ATS3!) I'm planning on rebuilding some town buildings. I'm gonna rebuild the town hall and add rabbithole doors... there will be a "mayor's office" added for the Tax Collector computer. It's a really fun mod that adds a new money system where sims can donate to certain places around town to go towards rebuilding. You can collect taxes too. And the computer part has another good use, preferably if you're not good add saving up - it can become a sort of sim-fam-savings thingy. Buy one computer for each sim to have their own, or put the whole family's savings together in one. Great for saving for vacay!
Tomorrow I'll start the town hall... then I'm gonna do the grocery store, salon, add a kids toy store, church, funeral home, restaurant, theater...

I'm wondering whether or not to sell the meteor and other space rocks that resulted from the meteor strike. I'm tempted to keep them and give them to sims as they head off home as the boarding school doesn't need any more Simoleans but little sims going home might need the extra to upgrade their homes or buy something useful.
